I couldn’t have been happier with the service I received prior to my wedding at XOX Hair Studio. Margaret, the owner, was sure to make my time in her salon special as I had my hair and makeup done. Margaret and… her employees were all following current protocols in reference to the pandemic, and I felt safe and comfortable in the salon. Kateryna was the stylist and makeup artist that I worked with for my services. Great experience! Quick, professional, friendly and my hair looks great! Went during COVID, Margaret took my temperature at the door, kept things very clean and staff wore their masks correctly and the whole time throughout my visit (I'm very critical of things like that). Overall, would recommend. Plus she gave me a lot of tips and recommendations for awesome businesses in the area since I'm new to the neighborhood!

Although this isn't the worst salon, it is far from the best. I was given two gift certificates to this salon, and I badly needed a haircut so I made an appointment with Margaret in April. I had about 8 inches cut off at that time into a short stacked bob. The style was fine, unfortunately the back came out uneven, and Margaret cut the front for a center part ( which I assumed was a misunderstanding) so I had a lot if shorter hair on the side opposite my part. I had to wait three months for another cut to allow the problems to grow out.

I've been getting my haircut here since I was a little girl and it was a tiny little salon squished next to the Lucky Grill. Margaret is a fantastic stylist and a wonderfully charming person as well, it's always a joy to get my hair cut and chat with her. She will always talk with you to help you figure out the best cut and style for your hair, she'll even show you some hair magazines to inspire ideas if you're unsure, and you can always bring in reference photos for what you want; but half the time I feel like she can just read my mind! I've also had manicures done here

The worst experience I had at the salon only that they burn my hair but they were races threats against me from the owner hair person that was doing my hair was very nice and calm and trying to calm you down when I got into a very rage when I saw my here falling down from my head it was very bad she was letting my hair and I was just falling off but the owner was unbelievably races her comments were rude

Again, as a newbie to Jefferson Park, I was looking for a hair cut joint in the 'hood. As a mom of 2 little ones, convenience is key and cost is important. Walked by on Friday and set up a Sat afternoon appointment for the next day.
I had heard some friend-of-a-friend notes that this place was pretty good. Kinda trendy for the neighborhood, at least in comparison with the other $5-7-10 places out there. Decent decor and some Erasure playing over the speakers. (Yeah, that sadly means "trendy" to this non-hip 40 year old mom....)
