This place has a very poor community manager. No experience at solving a situation that could have been handled with a simple conversation. The maintenance are very unprofessional and unskilled. They will have to keep coming back to fix simple handyman stuff. They also aren't too clean. I've had my car broken into twice in a span of 2 months. Windows broken and management does nothing and doesn't even send out a notice or warning. There isn't much parking because people park in open spaces with the carport tag. This goes unnoticed and vehicles are never towed for this but emails

I have been living here for about 3 months now and so far so good. Jewel was an absolute asset in the move in process and helped me understand every portion of my lease. The unit was clean when i moved in with no issues. 2 weeks in my garbage disposal went out and the maintenance team came the next day and took care of it while i was at work. My neighbors are friendly and quiet.
Only reason I'd leave 4 instead of 5 is due to price. I do believe they're charging astronomical rates for apartments that don't have in house washer/dryers or much space. But hey its the Bay!

Our unit is nice but we had a few issues right off the bat. First off, we were told we couldn't even view the unit without putting a deposit down. After that, they changed the move in date twice because the unit was not ready. When we were finally able to move in, one of the bedrooms reeked of cigar smoke and cat pee. We were able to get the smell out oursleves eventually but it was gross. These inconveniences were minor but we will not be renewing our lease for 2 main reasons:
1. The office staff is rude. I have had interactions with almost every staff member and they have all been unpleasant

We moved in a hear ago under different management. We had a pleasant move in and they were extremely helpful with the process as we moved from Sacramento. However, the apartment was not ready and we had a ton of work orders placed. Since our original move-in date the management has changed and it shows. The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. We since moved into a third bedroom on the other side of the complex and it is beautiful. We love it. The maintenance staff is outstanding and have done wonderful job fixing anything we needed, which was very little in our new place. Seriously, give them

Live here right now. The management is friendly and helpful at times. Regarding parking, if you have 2 cars or more will be hard because you only get one reserved and one first come first serve inside the property. However, most of the time the property is full and you're forced to park your car outside at night because there is no available lot. The neighborhood is clean and pet owners are responsible for taking care of their pet's dirt. This review explains the experience my family and I had as Sofi residents that suffered from smoke damage due to a fire that happened in the unit behind ours. The smoke damage was so severe that we were unable to stay in the apartment according to the fire marshal. We also lost our roof from the firefighters cutting a large hole to try to remove as much smoke as possible from our unit. My family and I stayed in a hotel for over 3 weeks until we were able to move back in. During this time, Sofi hired contractors to replace the carpet. Would never recommend! Gates always broken, lights in stalls always out, most cars parked in open spaces and never in their stalls, same permits parked even right next to each other. Garbage every. Walls are thin, you can hear your neighbors, downstairs is louder than upstairs- if you can live upstairs it's better, but people leaving their garbage in your I would never recommend this place to anyone. Might be lower than average rent but that is probably the only benefit! Parking is horrendous! No one parks in their assigned stalls, instead park all their vehicles in "open" parking

Update: lived here for about six months and we still don't consistently have hot water. Every time I call, they say there's an issue with the water heater but they don't know what it is. REPLACE THE WATER HEATER. There are spiders and wasps EVERYWHERE. I have asked them to spray and to remove the webs from the stair railings and they never did. There is never any parking, if you have two cars - don't even bother moving here unless you want to spend 30 minutes driving around waiting for someone to leave. I moved in late September of 2019 and I was contacted the day of saying the management had a meeting and my move in appointment will be delayed. I had to come in anyways due to my movers and I found out that the reason it was delayed was because they were not finished with renovating my apartment. I walked into an empty dirty kitchen and bathroom and no cabinets up. Due to the rush, the drawers weren't properly build out. It kept getting stuck or falling out of the track. These people are shady as hell. I applied to their apartment complex and they rushed my application along and asked for half of the $600 deposit during the application process. They tried to give me like a five hour deadline to make a decision on a Friday afternoon and I told them I would need until Tuesday to make a decision. When I called them back on Tuesday to say I decided on another place instead, they refused to give me the $300 back, saying they had some BS 24 hour deadline.

The apartment is convenient to everything especially if you have kids in middle school the problem is there is always surprises with your monthly rent, Conservice Utility Expert will send you your monthly rent with your utilities like trash, water, sewer etc. and you will pay it on your resident portal, this is the second time that my bill is different from Conservice and on my Resident portal, it's always higher on the portal and you can not change how much you will pay, you can not do anything but to pay it, but what if you don't have enough for that surprise adds on, office is telling

Perfect place if you don't mind sharing the pool with the neighbor kids that don't live in the apartment complex.
Also if you don't mind having water on a daily basis.
Either the water is turned off or too hot or too cold.
When I called the office about not having water, the response I got was " well the apartments were built in the 1980's we have many plumbing problems and water should be turned on a hour."
No parking for guest.

Moved in two months ago in one of their renovated units and it has been great! The management team was able to take care of a few hiccups along the way with a smile.
Nancy and her entire team made a huge effort to make my family feel welcomed even with all the questions we had though the application process. I would recommend living here.

My family and I moved here a few months ago and I have to say that its a great community to live at. It's a gated community, its close by an elementary school which is covenant for my little ones, and just around the corner from union landing and most importantly the staff is amazing Nancy is a great manager and she has such a great team, Jaquisha has helped me with my gate remote when it wasn't working . Her and Karen has great customer service and the maintenance team is great as well Andres and Matt has definitely helped with a few work orders that I've put in and were able to complete them

As being a resident of this Apartment Complex for 5 years, I would say it's the best. Aside from the great community, and neighborhood, Staff Management are Excellent especially Tyrone (Manager) he always helps us as if it's personal. Their maintenance are also great! Whenever we need something(which is unusual) they're quick and get things done right away. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking because it's a quiet community, safe, you'll see kids playing every afternoon on summer and Management are great! This has to be to best experience I have ever had with management in trying to find a new apartment. Amber was so welcoming in helping me find the best location and the best pricing. And as a student it is extremely hard trying to find a place because management requires so many papers that I do not have. But Amber was completely understanding on my situation and helped me figure out the best way to get the papers that are needed. The move in process is so easy too, I made an appointment for Thursday and should be moving in on a Monday. You can't get any better than that.

Definitely THE WORST place I have chosen to live in 26 years of life. Had to move into this place due to the competitive renting market in the Bay Area. Like everyone in the bay you are paying over the top for a very minimal, cheap, & problem riddled complex. It seems as though every few weeks they have some kind of rule that they are trying to enforce or some kind of complaint about how you park, what you have on your patio, or them bugging you for payment cause their web portal for payments is trash never shows the correct amount or they are harping you to change the address on your renters insurance

I must say that I'm very pleased with SORA. I've moved here in July and so far my dealings with Tyrone and his maintenance team has been Fantastic. Minor things that needed a little TLC were handled very well and promptly. Tyrone is very good with keeping his word and his maintenance team really delivers great customer service and very respectful, I recommend this community to anyone who is interested in moving into a nice friendly community.

Worst experience in leasing an apartment I have ever had. I was told my wife and I would be provided with 1 assigned parking space and we could park our 2nd vehicle in any available non- assigned parking spot.
The problem is there are very limited community spaces available due to construction contractors taking a large portion of community parking spots. It is first-come first-served for those spaces. If a resident arrives home and all spaces are taken there is literally no place to park.
