Vera, the founder of VB Studio, is an outstanding hairstylist with over 20 years of professional experience. Born and raised in Albania, where she began her hair journey, Vera found her way to New York 17 years ago, and has been working in the NYC hair industry ever since. I had went to vb studio because of the reviews. My hair was virgin hair I asked for a balayage and left with only highlights no balayage. Then when I got home the very next morning I realized a chunk of the middle of my hair had been completely burnt off, after I was told my hair had took the bleach beautifully and everything looked great. Then I contacted Vera which was the person that did my hair (she seemed pretty offended when we spoke) and was told to send a picture of my hair. I sent the picture, Vera never got back to me nor did I at least get an apology or anything. I had to go the next

So hard to find a place in the city for a good blowout. I had really high hopes for this place - especially given the high reviews - and was very disappointed. I had to wait 30+ minutes to get started and the stylist didn't listen to what I asked for at all. Took over and hour with the wait time and almost $50. My hair ended up looking flat and the "beach waves" were awful. The girl was really nice, so one star added on for that.

VB studio is the best salon I have been too. From walking in and just getting blow outs, recently getting a haircut and putting my trust in for color I have been super satisfied. Vera has done my haircut and color and I could not be happier! She took her time to explain what she thought I should do and was very sweet and accommodating. I would definitely come back here again for all of the above!

I was referred to Vera through one of my friends, I'm so sad I didn't find out about her sooner. Vera is amazing! She's super personable and can she do blondes. As a natural blonde, it's been hard to find someone who can do natural light blonde highlights. Vera delivered! My hair feels healthy and looks gorgeous. I've been going to different salons in the city, paying a lot more and getting so much less from a result and customer experience standpoint. I can't recommend her and her team enough!

I'm so so so happy I found this salon in my neighborhood! Rafaela is AMAZING and listened to what I wanted and gave me a gorgeous result. My highlights now look so natural and pretty and my hair just seems healthier and happier. I couldn't recommend this salon more -- especially since they are right off the Lexington Ave/53rd St subway stop, so you have no excuse not to try them out!

I love VB Salon! Not only the staff is friendly and makes you feel comfortable and safe, but also they are very professional. Samantha has been taking care of my hair for more than 2 years: she is an incredible colorist and when she cuts my hair it grows so fast and looks really healthy. Yesterday she applied Keratine to my hair to avoid the humid summer frizz. I recommend this salon with my eyes closed!

Rafaela did a great job on my haircut. It was my second visit. First was in February after I moved to the neighborhood. I was eager to get back after 131 days! The process went smoothly; we all wore masks. I was not allowed to leave a tip on my credit card so luckily I had some cash. I was so happy with my haircut and style, I stopped to take a selfie on the street. Then a woman came up and asked me where I got my hair done and said she was going to walk right over and make an appointment!

I could not be happier that I found this wonderful salon. The salon is so cute and everyone inside is so friendly, fun, and professional. From start to finish, the experience could not be beat. I trusted Rafaela with coloring my hair for the first time and I am SO HAPPY I did. She was knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to work with. Simply a great salon! Osher Yosef is the only blonde specialist in America and Europe who understood which type of blonde I want and made me look amazing!
On top of that they get along well and you can feel a kind atmosphere between the colleagues which is not common anymore unfortunately.

I am so glad I found this place in August. I've been coming here religiously as I am bi coastal. My hair was I in trouble! I originally wanted a blowout but I asked Osher to fix the color ( my previous hairdresser put bleach in my hair & destroyed it ) ! He brought it back to the perfect set of low lights & base color. His blowouts are phenomenal. I only book with him.
He has the perfect eye for style. Planning on getting a trim next week!
The salon is convenient on 2nd ave. They're clean, accommodating & they are Gd about respecting their appointment times!!

I am obsessed with VB Studio and everyone who works there! Finally found a salon that feels like home after a decade in NYC and a hairstylist that knows exactly what I want and the outcome is always better than I could have hoped for! Osher is amazing, I wanted to do a bit more of an icy bright blonde instead of golden this time and he nailed it! I couldn't be happier!! The owner of the salon, Vera, is so sweet and welcoming, you feel like a VIP the second you walk in the door. Jessie, the receptionist, is so fun and nice and even gave me ideas of cool places to go for my birthday celebration later

I came here with a Groupon for half-head highlights. I already had balyage highlights and Osher convinced me to get full-head highlights for about an extra $130 (including toner). I chose a violet-purple shade, which came out to appear as a pink (very nice, but not my style) finish.
Osher was nice to talk to, but I didn't have a flawless salon experience like many of the other reviews. I didn't feel as if my hair was gently cared for--the bleaching process

Was looking for a new salon to change things up. Figured I would give it a try based on my friend's recommendations. Lucky for me they were offering a promo for their cuts and blows. I was happy to hear the owner, Vera, a master hairdresser will be working on my hair. To my disappointment, she spent very little time on my hair; she was so busy answering questions and checking on other hair dressers' work, in short, she was gone for most of the time. The girl who washed and blow dried my hair was super patient and nice. My cut was basic, with no texturing or layers. I think that was due

Went here with a groupon, and a good friends' recommendation for 1/2 a head of highlights and a blowout. I had a 6:45appt, was asked to come at 6:30, and then wasn't seated until 7:05. I was squeezed in, and shouldn't have been. I could tell that Vera was being rushed and lazy with the underneath hair, and I was very worried in the chair. I requested "babylights" but I have stripes under the top layer of hair (which was done well). From afar it looks decent, but when I just got home to check my hair, it looks awful and stripey in so many areas. They also charged me $34

This is literally the best hair salon I have ever been to! The service was amazing and the whole salon is beautiful. Everyone is so friendly and always ready to help. I got highlights that turned out exactly like the ones I asked for and a haircut that made me feel confident and pretty. I’ve tried so many hair salons in NYC but this is definitely the only one I am going back to. Great job girls and thank you for the amazing service! 5 stars would be little to give you guys.

I have been doing my hair at VB Studio for a while now and all i can tell you guys is that the colorists there are HAIR MAGICIANS aaaand especially BLONDE EXPERTS!! I can't say enough how happy i am with my hair since i started doing them at VB. My natural hair is dark brunette and last year I decided to do a balayage because i really wanted a change. This summer however i was convinced to go fully blonde and indeed i did, at VB Studio.VERA made possible the transformation of my life and guess what you guys? it came out beyond what i had imagined and i absolutely loved it.
