Positive: Professionalism, Responsiveness
As a tenant with Ellen and Pacifisia for the last 8 years, I have nothing but positive things to say. I feel really lucky that the property has her managing things and consider Pacifisia to be professional, responsive, courteous, and understanding in all things.

Ellen is the absolute greatest: always precisely on time, super responsive to questions via phone or email, very respectful and just truly does her best to help. She is very good at seeing all points of view--what the landlord wants/needs and what the renter wants/needs--which makes her both fair and flexible. I confess I was extremely skeptical of property management companies based on previous experiences, but having met Ellen, I've opened my mind--there are some gems out there and she's one of them!

I lived at 881 Haight Street for 2 years and overall had a good experience with the folks at Pacifisia Realty. After leaving from the pandemic, they provided a full deposit refund with interest without hassle. They also fixed a showerhead during our stay. The only reason it was not a 5 star experience was because sometimes it was difficult to communicate via email when we decided to exit our lease. Overall, I would recommend.

Over the past 20 years, i've found pacifisia extremely responsive. there is one person there (ellen) who is a star there. i have to think that people like ellen are often underappreciated--they have to balance the needs of property owners with tenants and do so, sometimes extremely quickly and amongst the myriad of san francisco laws. in matters such as these, experience, a strong network of handymen/maintenance people, tenure, all coupled with a caring heart--that's what can make a huge difference.
over the last 20 years, i have dozens of stories of how pacifisia had improved things

They sued me.
I sublet from people already renting through this company. I had only been there for 3 months when I learned that my roommates had an outstanding balance on backpay for their rent. This was a sum that had accrued before I moved into the building. When they served papers, they threw my name on the suit even though I've had nothing to do with it.
Not enough that I have to move again after only a very little time of living there, now I'm stuck dealing with court dates and possible legal fees just to prove that I'm not responsible in this situation.
I won't express

I read some not-so-great reviews about the company I think on Google or somewhere, but my personal experience was fine.
There was nothing special about the company and the only reason I was working with them was because they were the company for the apartment I wanted.
The agent was good and was flexible.. we worked around my schedule. We had to meet multiple times to show the apartment, sign paperwork, get the keys, etc. He was always on time.
