What a stupid way to do business, who hired this people?, Jim was nice, you must be if you want to accomplished anything. We did what he asked us to do and after $135.00 (fee for credit report) he didn't bother to call us back to tell us that we got rejected, we wait and wait and finally I send a massage asking, and then he told me I was not approved, and is OK but we need a place to live, if someone is not getting the apartment call them ASAP so they can keep looking for another one, but you don't have any empathy you need to find another job, but again maybe is too late for you.

My spouse and I replied to a Craigslist ad for a 2BR in a brand new building at Taraval and 33rd listed at $3000. There were no inside pictures posted. The agent from Berendt showed us that apartment on 9/25/21, which was on the ground floor and had a glass doorway to the sidewalk. He then said he had another 2BR for $3200, which he took us too. I have checked Craigslist many times, and that apartment and price has never been listed. We applied for the apartment ($45 per person) on 9/25/21 and were approved and on 9/29/21 were sent an Welcome Letter with wire transfer information for the move-in

I found an amazing 1BDR/BA with all amenities and a view of downtown SF with the help of Sam. This was my first time working with Berendt properties so I was a little leary but Sam was extremely helpful, honest, and actually helped me negotiate my rent with my landlord. It felt like he was trying to be fair to me and my now landlord, which I appreciate given the current economic climate. I couldn't be happier enough and feel grateful to have had Sam helping me through this process. I would have never got the deal or space without him.

So awful I don't know where to start. The agent was so arrogant that I simply left the meeting. One of our prospective tenants contacted me directly as we had another ad we posted ourselves. They indicated their qualifications but they were told before anything was even on paper that they would not qualify. When I asked him why he said he had a feeling. How does one have a feeling?
The lovely woman was well qualified and we rented to her, in spite of a couple glitches on her credit which was explained and overlooked based on her income and references. We haven't had a single problem

Berendt Properties is amazing. I contacted Andrew on Thursday, he got back to me Friday morning, I saw the space on Friday afternoon. I then got the lease on Monday and we are all signed and approved on Tuesday. The whole process took less than a week and we found our dream apartment! Andrew was so helpful and amazing. He helped us with all of our questions and concerns and was always quick to respond. The application process was quick and easy - they even started the checks over the weekend! My fiance and I were looking for a place in inner sunset in SF and we stumbled upon a posting for a property by Berendt. We set up a tour with Andrew and loved the place, and it's been smooth sailing since. We were on a really tight timeline (move in 4 days from tour) and Andrew worked incredibly hard to move the leasing process along for us. Within 48 hours of our tour, we were able to have everything settled and arrange for the keys to be picked up! Not impressed. Craig the mega real estate mogul, wouldn't get off his phone and actually come into the apartment to answer questions. Guess he was there to open the door for a self guided tour followed by the go F yourself question and answer session. Not at all engaged in the process of you know, being a property manager and actually, gasp, showing the property to potential applicants. Was even more thrilled when we actually asked to see the garage to get an idea of why would be paying $350 a month for a spot and he proceeded to role his eyes and then conveniently couldn't remember

This review is much overdue. Craig and his team are absolutely amazing. I continue to recommend his services all the time.
We used Berendt properties to find a renter for our property. Let's be clear, we had a terrible tenant that Craig found us. This was a situation, where the tenant seemed like a good fit and was great on paper. So, it was not a vetting error by Berendt properties.
From beginning to end, Craig stood by us in a highly loyal and professional manner. He and his team went beyond the call of duty.
If I ever rented again, my only call will be to Craig. He is very skilled

Working with Berendt properties was a great experience! I worked with Sam Liss for the property we were interested in. Sam was prompt, punctual, responsive and very professional. He was quick to answer any questions or concerns we had, and was patient as we pulled all of our information together for the application. I've spent the past 2-3 weeks looking for an apartment in SF. I was actually surprised at how nice, accommodating, professional and responsive all of the brokers were that I met (especially coming from NYC). This was true until I had the pleasure of interacting with Craig. He was the quintessential cliche of a smug disinterested real estate broker.
