When you arrive at Sun Valley Regional Animal Hospital you can expect quality care for your pet. Believe all the bad reviews. The vets don't put any effort into trying to help your pet feel comfortable in their already super crappy uncomfortable office. The vet techs were really the only ones who actually looked like they liked dogs. Anyway the doctors insisted on sedating my dog to look at her even though I told them they just need to spend a couple minutes with her and she'll be fine. They were terrified of my dog and on the phone they assured me, they are very knowledgeable of how to deal with dogs who are scared or skiddish from being at the vet.

My cat was diagnosed with kidney disease at Sun Valley after it being missed by our former vet, who never took kidney tests after noticing his weight loss beginning. The assistants are all so nice to him and gentle when giving him the subcutaneous fluid shots. They take necessary tests every so often but not excessively just to charge us an exhorbitant amount.
The doctors explain each test and what it indicates about our cat's progress or decline.
It is a friendly place, too, where the clients all seem to feel their pet is in good hands.

We have taken our dog here since he was a puppy but our last few visits with SVAH have not been great.
They have messed up my dog's vaccinations twice now on 2 different visits. They would give my dog a shot that is not scheduled and months earlier than needed. Good thing I check the invoice otherwise I wouldn't even know. Money isn't even the issue, but my dog's safety. No one even bothered to confirm with me what we are doing each visit. Everyone seems to be in a rush. If someone just cross checked records these mistakes could have been avoided.

I am beyond grateful for Dr. Sunsil Sharma, who helped with saving my cats life. we brought her in because she had blood in her bowel movement. He checked her, and noticed something hard in her stomach; within hours he was able get her an appointment for surgery. Not only did he save her by removing the objects out of her stomach within hours, but he fixed her so she wouldn’t go thorough another surgery. There is no doubt in my mind that Sun Valley animal hospital has the best intentions for your pet. They also have amazing service! Great place to take your pet with trust!!

I'm shocked by all the rave reviews. A dingy place. Everyone there, from the front desk staff to the medical assistant to the vet come across very unprofessionally. Like a fly by night. The place was empty and they still took 15 minutes to process us. It seems all they care about is your money. After registering us they then spent a good 15-20 minutes trying to sell me plans and services before treating my pet. The vet would not enter until I chose a plan. We are so thankful that they were able to squeeze our doggo in this morning when we discovered a gnarly cut on his foot this morning. They were so accommodating, friendly, and stress free. We did have to come back after a couple hours for his procedure, but I am grateful that we were able to get in and not have to go to the Emergency vet. Thank you so much to the doctor (I didn't get his name!) and all of the wonderful staff. They aren't our regular vet, but definitely will be returning for non emergencies!

Disappointed at the lack of customer service and compassion towards my pet & I with the front staff/vet techs. This is the 2nd negative experience I’ve had with this place. First time I made an appointment ahead of time. I get there in the rain on time and they make me wait outside of the entrance with my cat in her crate for a good 20 minutes. We don’t get to go inside and I didn’t get to go inside to the vet room with my cat during the check up. The veterinarian came and talked to me outside once the check up was complete. Uncomfortable experience.

Dr. Garg and her staff are simply amazing. They have been taking care of our kitties for many years and recently, has gone above and beyond. We had an emergency which quickly went from bad to worst in matter of days. Dr. Garg quickly outlined a plan, took the time to explain the pros and cons, listened to our concerns and advised us every step. Taking my dog here turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. Both veterinarians played a roll in the death of my dog. I brought my dog Lucky here for the first time during Covid. We couldn't go inside at the time. We saw Dr Sharma and had a positive experience and we were happy we found a good veterinarian for him. Dr. Sharma and Dr. Garg are inept and liable to cause significant harm to the domestic animals in the community. My Grandson tooK our Lab to the vet. We felt she had a UTI. The Dr who took care of her wanted to do $400 worth of X-rays in case of stones. I said no we would go to our vet at Montecito. They did not give her medicine for her UTI.

I truly wish there was a 0 star option. This place is a scam. The male veterinarian in there clearly only cares about money and not your animals. I took my dog for a check up because she's been having some stomach issues. The vet gave no feedback on anything and just kept trying to sale us on different medications and different procedures without even really knowing what he was talking about. We called Sun Valley after experiencing our fur baby, Taz , throwing up, coughing, but was still very active.
We were referred to Sun Valley after I got very, very upset with our vet we've used the past 11 years. The staff that received my call was so very sweet, showed concern, and made me an appointment for the very next day. I had all documents faxed to Sun Valley and was there on the desk awaiting or us the next evening in a file.
Immediately, we were greeted so professionally, met Dr. Sharma , he was perfect! Taz was so comfortable, which is VERY important, they took excellent care

I'm changing my previous review. Dr. Garg is back and she's the best vet I've had for my pups ever! She is kind, caring, listens to your concerns and makes effort to make your pet comfortable.
Beware the male vet who works here though. He prescribed antibiotics for my dog's canine papilloma virus, TWICE. Which is a viral infection that heals and goes away on its own.

Nahh....Drug dealers will offer you better service and prices than this place. They tried charging me $800 for spaying my small chihuaha pup and added 193628 different procedures onto the receipt too. $60 to cut her nails???
Plus they take hella long to come out and check you in.

I've been going to this place for over year and I've never had any issues with my visits. I don't have the easiest dog in the world to handle but every time I've came I've always felt welcomed and not judged. The customer service is great and scheduling an appointment is super easy whether if it's through their website or calling in. I bring in my dog every month (or every other month) to get his nails trim and it's such an easy process. Send your animals here if you do not care about their well being. For years, I sent my 3 dogs to this vet and the service was ok. Recently, their service has gotten so bad that their negligence killed my dog. That's right, they killed my dog. If you're interested in hearing how it happened, please pm me. Even after years of receiving sub par service, I never left a bad review. However, their negligence needs to be known so dog owners can make an informed decision.

I would love to give this place minus 100 stars! My dog had a very minor diarrhea. I brought him to this place that is in no way I will call hospital! The doctor came outside took my dog then came back 30 minutes after with a $650 invoice...shocking!!!! I asked him why this much he said because of the blood tests "that we did NOT ask for" I said ok fine where is the results, he said oooh sorry my machine is broken...!!!! I'm like and why are you charging us for it then? He said oh don't worry I will fix my machine and send it to you next week because I'm going to be off

They have taken care of my 2 pups that are now 2 1/2 years old since I got them when they were weaned. They've taken care of the parents as well. The employees take the effort to make it as pleasant as possible so the dogs don't mind going in for a visit. I've had other experiences in the past and this is a big plus!

Sun Valley Animal Hospital is the best place to take your dog for cat for routine veterinarian care. The staff is professional, kind, compassionate and gentle. My adorable Alfie is now 7 years old and has been receiving vaccinations, health wellness exams and his flea & tick medication and his Heartgard monthly treatments.
