In 2019, Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital celebrated its thirtieth anniversary. In 1989 we began to approach and practice veterinary medicine in a more holistic manner, celebrating the bond between our patients and their families, and we strive to support that bond through the best, most current medical, diagnostic, and surgical methods available.

Born and raised in the South Bay, Dr. Anderson learned to love veterinary medicine at the young age of 13, working at his local veterinary hospital part-time. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, his Masters in Neuroscience, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine all at Washington State University.

We have been taking our cats to Dr. Joe Thibedeau for about eight years. He is truly the kindest, most gentle, and most thorough veterinarian I have ever met. From routine health care, to dental cleaning, to spaying, and even to the pain of dealing with old animals facing terminal illnesses, Joe has been outstanding.

I've never had a bad appointment at this Vet. They take care of my dog quickly and efficiently, with great staff that are friendly. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else.

Hillcrest Veterinary has been the pet clinic where all 5 of our dogs get care. They treat your pets as family. My Boxer's and Boston run to visit the Doctors, that's how much they love Hillcrest Veterinary Clinic.

What to say about Hillcrest! Well for starters, their staff is amazing! The first time I stepped foot in there I immediately noticed how clean it was! (Coming from someone who works at a dog daycare). Now doing the first initial check up was a bit nerve racking for me. I have a German Shepherd who gets very anxious around new people & likes to show… it by being super vocal (barking & growling). The vet tech’s were very gentle & kept reassuring buster that he was okay & was being a very good boy (even though he was definitely being a brat to them lol). Then the vet Dr

I love this place. The doctors get down on the floor with your pets. Everyone is is happy,it's clean and you know your cat is getting the best care. The Waiting rooms are not crammed and you feel like you're getting full attention from all the doctors.

We’ve been taking our pets here for over twelve years. The staff is still stellar, attentive, warm, and explain everything. In our experience they’ve gone above and beyond. I’m not sure one reviewers issue as we were notified of the new ownership and even received a letter from Dr. Asseo.

Dr Anderson and everyone at Hillcrest are the best. Professional, personable, knowledgeable. They have treated our three dogs and one ornery cat for years: through surgeries, illness, wellness, and even passing on. Such great service! Our kitty was sick, and needed to be checked out. Dr. Anderson provided the best care, and took his time talking with us to figure out what could be wrong with our cat. Although the tests were inconclusive he recommended we change her diet. She's been happy and healthy since!

We only discovered this gem of a vet hospital last summer (2017), when my daughters new baby dumbo rat had a cold. They took lovely care of him and included my daughter in the discussion about his medication and care while we would be treating him. We are very happy with Hillcrest Vet.

By far the best vet we've been to.
The doctors not only know their craft, but truly care for your animal like it's theirs. They'll never overcharge you or advise a procedure that's extra, just to get $$$.
The staff is outstanding, as well. These folks truly love any and all the animals they treat! And, they interact with the humans of the pets pretty well, too. 😁

Any vet that charges clients more money if they want to be in the room with their pet during euthanasia needs to be shut down. This vet has had sketchy reports in the past, but this is terrible! Discouraging clients from being with their beloved pet during the final moments?! Why would they charge MORE unless they are trying to discourage the clients from being present. Shame on them....anything BUT thinking of the pets feelings!!!

Dr. Anderson has been so amazing with our dogs, especially as he recently assisted us as we said good-bye to our 14 year old dog. He was so kind and loving; truly understanding that we were saying good-bye to a family member.
