Booked because the photos looked like an ocean front room. Turns out the window was photoshopped and I had a view of the wall. Only one outlet in the room none bedside. Bathtub didn’t work. There was a door dividing my room from the next but it had such a large gap that you could hear EVERYTHING nextdoor. Other than that it was a nice little aesthetic hotel and bed was comfortable. The lady at the front desk was very pleasant. Just think this place could be a way better stay for the price.

I wouldn’t even know where to start. The staff is AMAZING. The service is second to none. From the Tim, the manager of the bar / restaurant, to Patty the receptionist, to the whole waitress staff. Mariana, Candela, Micaela, Evelyn, Rodrigo, Javier and Juan are all very lovely and friendly people. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Miami. The environment is lovely, the food is great, and the drinks will definitely get the job done.

Second time staying here!! First time there wasn't enough furniture in the room and it barely held 3 people. This second time a week ago was much more enjoyable for 2 people and get a king size bed. It makes a difference in the room you get.
Great location on the strip and great cheap prices for the rooms overall. I would stay here again.

No megastars stay at this hotel, just a few semi-stars, hence the name Star Lite.
Absolutely gorgeous hotel named after my little girl and one of my favorite hotels to stay at on South Beach, probably because it's not as popular as some of the others, and you can't get better than staying right on the front of the ocean.
On both occasions I stayed here (for one night), it had an unusually low price compared to others in South Beach, and yet is every bit as lovely. I hope it stays open forever.

This place did the job. We needed a place to stay in the middle of it all. The location is amazing. Right across from the beach. Close to restaurants and clubs.
The staff was nice and helpful. Valet was very slow at times but I don't blame the hotel because the service was outsourced. We adapted and ordered the car earlier. Then valet was mad when we didn't move the car faster. Too bad. Don't take 30 mins to get my car.
The room was clean. Flat screen tv w lots of channels. Towels were nice. They provided beach towels too. The room looked and smelled clean

No stars!! I will never stay here again. In all of my years going to South Beach, I've always stayed at another hotel. This one year we decide to stay at Starlite Hotel only because it's right on Ocean Drive and we frequent Wet Willie's next door, so we figured we'd be closer. I was not expecting a glamorous hotel, just wanted a basic room to stay for a night before my cruise.
When we finally got to the room after waiting what seemed like forever for the elevator, the key did not work (it happens) so I took the stairs to let the lady at the front desk know. She was so unfriendly

This is like the Motel Six on Ocean Drive. Not a 5 star hotel. The accommodations are showing their age. But the room has a bed, frig and cable. Room was clean and comfortable. You get what you pay for. But the location is what you want if you want the full blown South Beach experience. The beach is across the street from hotel, 5-10 minutes walk and your on the beach. Lots of restaurant within walking distance.

All I wanted was a clean bed and working shower by the beach, I got what I wanted. It's not luxurious but it was good enough for me. Front office was very helpful, they let me check in a couple of hours early; overall, being by the beach is the best. FYI, south beach goes to sleep at 4am, if you need a quite place, stay away from ocean avenue. Another warning that internet was very slow.

Pros - this is in the middle of everything on south beach; the place you'd want to be. The beach is directly across the street and this is in the middle of the main strip. The hotel itself has a restaurant area to the front where the burger is one of the best I've ever had.....Soooooo juicy and with soooooo much flavor. Although it's $35, its definitely worth every bite :)
I was very impressed with the fried red snapper as well; yummm, so much flavor!
The drinks are buy one get one free so basically there is happy hour all day, everyday lol. The strawberry mojito is to die for

Disgusting. This place is NOT for regular travelers. This property is for those that don't want to spend a lot of money, just need a bed to sleep, and don't care about much else.
First...the entrance is weird. You walk thru their "cafe" service to get to the check in counter. So you can see all the dirty dishes and smells of food garbage your first minutes in.
The elevator is small, without ac, and moves at snail speed. It opened up to a very smelly hallway. Think old, death, mixed with a little bit of bleach.
Opening the door to the room I was shocked at how awful

So here I go:
A friend booked this hotel via a Hotwire deal online. It was prepaid and on a whim she canceled days before. Decided to take the trip anyway but that should have been the first sign this was a set up.
When I first arrived an older lady who looked "weathered" was very dry and direct and caustic. She was helping several people at once. A customer stopped to ask her is he had ocean view she just barked at him "yea".....I doubt he had one. I know my view was the wall of building next door.
She decided to solicit me other amenities the hotel had. For some reason I

We were going to be in Miami just for a night so we wanted something in an active and lively area. This place turned out to be perfect. I read some negative reviews but the staff was very nice, it's right in front of the beach and the moment you step outside you are met by restaurants and bars and so many people. The only down to that is that if you want a quiet night of sleep, good luck. We had a beach view room so that meant facing the street. I think it was 4ish when it quiet down.

My wife and I booked this hotel through Travelocity and got a "superior' room with a king-sized bed for a very low price. The only cheaper South Beach hotels we could find got frightening, mostly one-star reviews at Trip Advisor.
Given the low price and the location on Ocean Drive, across from the beach, in the heart of the South Beach action, I was suspecting some kind of major problem. But the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and they had a fridge, microwave and iron/ironing board.
This isn't a luxury hotel, of course. There isn't much in the way of a lobby. One evening

When we stay in Miami we usually stay at the Colony Hotel, they were booked so we stayed here!!! We were greeted by Patty a 13 year employee she was nice and checked us in early. The Hotel is clean and the room was awesome. I don't understand the negative reviews I've read for this place. We had a TV fridge and Microwave. I think we've found our new South Beach Hotel. It was right where we like it on Ocean Drive. I think the problem is with negative reviewers are that they are expecting Hilton- type Hotels on the strip.
