A lovely old hotel in a great location. The restaurant adjoining the hotel offers a nice breakfast, but dinner is unfortunately unpleasant since the very active bar with loud music and conversations is in the same area. Parking is provided which is a real plus since on street parking has been eliminated to provide outdoor dining areas. The room was comfortable, but they could use a face lift (patched wallpaper, shredded curtains)

Love this hotel! Spent Saturday night only, but loved the place and will go there again. Friendly staff, great location, bar/restaurant inside is good and there's plenty of places to shop, eat, play within walking distance. The bed was great... would have like to have a firmer pillow, but that's not going to stop us from using it again.

I and a girlfriend make an annual visit to Arlington Cemetery in honor of a dear friend whom was killed in Afghanistan. Over the past few years, we have chosen to stay in Georgetown and happened upon the Georgetown Inn. Even though Georgetown Inn is an older hotel and its amenities are not what I would call up to modern day standards, we've had comfortable stays in a nice location even if the hotel was often under renovation. One year it snowed while we were visiting which offered a serene and tranquil setting in light of the reason for our visitation. Unfortunately, snow is somewhat a challenge

This is objectively one of the best hotels in DC. The history and location is amazing. The rooms were spacious had some modern amenities. However, there were some issues. Firstly, some of the staff weren’t very friendly. Also, the shower was scalding hot and the temperature could not be changed. Body wash was not provided. Overall a great hotel but somethings were overlooked.

Great stay at the Georgetown Inn! They don’t have valet set up yet but the staff was very nice. There is a restaurant and bar inside the hotel, both pretty upscale. The rooms in here are extremely nice and perfect for a few nights or a few weeks. Would 10/10 recommend if you’re staying in Georgetown!! The price per night is rather expensive but if you’re looking for a nicer place to stay, come here.

I love staying here when visiting my daughter at college. The location is perfect - right in the hub of Georgetown for shopping, dining, walking down to the waterfront. There's complimentary parking but you do have to call the front desk for them to lift the gate. I feel this could be a little more convenient but the parking is still a plus, if not extremely plentiful. The rooms are modern and clean. I would consider walking around barefoot in the room without cringing, which is saying something for me. I haven't, but I would consider it.

Here's the thing: Hospitality is as much a science as it is an art form. I moved our reservation here after realizing all the hotels had shut down room service and I prefer an inn vibe to a hotel anyway.
I booked online and called the front desk to advise that we wanted a room far from the elevator and stairs because we were trying to get away from our children for one night. I asked and was advised that there was no room service or bar service available so I gamely packed half my house for a one night date night with my husband.
We arrived to the perfect room in the perfect location. A

I reserved a room here coming in from Chicago to help move my daughter anticipating this hotel to be as described on its website. I was quite excited, anticipating a lovely little getaway after being Covid-ly locked up for 10 months.
I give grace for Covid restrictions, so I'm not being harsh....
What I got was one a horror show. First room, the heat was stuck on 87 and could not be turned off. I had unpacked and was exhausted.
Took me to another room, to find the window literally detached from the wall, open to the street.
Took me to yet another room... nope, no heat.

This visit was just as businesses are beginning to open up from Covid and after the riots. The rates are low everywhere now, but we stayed at the Inn as it is within walking distance to Georgetown University which we wanted to visit. That is the only reason to stay at this hotel in my opinion.
Otherwise, Uber it to Georgetown from some other more upscale hotel. This place smells weird-and my clothes ended up with the smell of the room. The shower overflowed and was a mess. It is gloomy and drab. There was no refrigerator to even put a water bottle. The cleaning ladies were laughing and banging

I am not sure why the reviews on here aren't better. We checked in for a quick staycation and had a very positive experience. The hotel is old, but the room was spacious clean and with up to date furniture and fixtures. We did go with the executive king to ensure a bit more room. The check in process was easy and efficient and valet staff were helpful. Room service was quick and good quality. Bathroom was small and missing a bathmat but otherwise fine. I'd recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area.

I stayed at the Georgetown Inn for 3 nights. The hotel itself is great, what a wonderful location. HOWEVER - the bar/restaurant is in need of a serious management change. Very slow service. Additionally we had a bad experience with a bartender named DENNIS. He was extremely rude, had poor manners, and was arrogant. This was to the point that my group wanted to get up and walk out, I've never had a bartender behave like this before. I would go back to the hotel, but certainly not to the bar or restaurant.

Not sure why the negative reviews...
Pros:
1. Front desk was very prompt and efficient at checkin, checkout, and also for getting the pass for the DC sports club.
2. Great location, lovely part of town that still has lots of people out past 10pm on weekday. Sure, it's not in the middle of DC if you are trying to do sightseeing, but the area is really nice.
3. Amenities were perfectly fine and functional.
4. The biggest pro for me was the FREE guest access to DC sports club. Unlike most people who use a hotel gym to pretend to work out, I try to still do serious workouts while traveling, and

It's a fairly "historic" hotel of 50 years, so it was kind of expected maybe that the room was a bit stuffy smelling and I wished it wasn't because everything else about this place is great.
The location is fabulous on a a main Georgetown street that is lined with adorable shops and spots to dine and drink. Just blocks from a lovely canal and then the Potomac River, it is very walkable and something you should do.
Amenities are the usual, and it has a fitness and business center, but if you need something printed you can email it down and they help you out.

This was my second stay at the Georgetown Inn and it was for seven nights. I understand that the property recently sold and I'm not sure if it's a new management issue, but the customer service has greatly declined since my last visit.
At check-in, we were delighted to find two complimentary bottles of water. After our third day walking all over the city, we returned to our room only to realize we had forgotten to buy bottled water. That evening, a call was made to the front desk and it was taken by a young man. I requested two bottles of water and explained that we would be happy to
