I love this hotel, low key but wonderful rooms and views , very friendly staff , they gave me a great price for staying 5 days. I am here on business and loving the convenience and the central location. Has all the amenities I like including a bathtub . I live in Costa Rica where a bathtub is an unknown object 😂😂 nice to soak in magnesium 🙏🏽

Booked a 3 night stay through Wyndham rewards program. There was nothing but confusion from the minute we booked in. We were constantly checking our credit card account to see what we were actually paying. Every morning we had to meet with a supervisor and go over our bill. At the end of our stay we ended up paying nearly double what we quoted. Numerous emails since then have not been responded to. The matter remains unresolved. Too bad but never again will we stay there.

Rooms were minimalist and clean. Service by all staff was friendly and helpful. The location, though, is tough. It's on the border of SoMa, not too far from the Tenderloin and the homeless population is a real problem. We took lyfts everywhere after people suggested we don't walk in the area after dark.
But...the hotel was fantastic.

You get what you pay for. This is a 3-star hotel as described. The only thing preventing me from giving a 5 star review is the fact that our heat was not working for a majority of our stay. However, when we called, a repairmen came within the hour and solved the issue. The hotel needs to complete a review of all capital equipment to ensure other residents do not experience the same issue.
All in all, the facilities were clean and the lobby was tidy everyday. This is a huge feat given the surrounding area is filled with unhoused (homeless) San Francisco residents. The hotel staff and security made

Absolutely disgusting. First I had booked a "superior room" Got there rooms were dirty with stains on carpet. Light fixtures were falling apart. Ignored all as we drove 8hr and was tired. Wanted to get a drink and walked down for happy hour starting at 4pm and ends at 7pm. The bartender did not show up till 645pm we went to grab a drink and was asked proof of vaccination per regulations which was fine. So we left but the bartender was rude and didn't even tell us that we were able to purchase and sit in other parts of the lobby as there was another guest who we spoke to who never had to show proof

Clean spacious room, very comfortable bed, silky linens, minimal furnishings in room laid out for maximum efficiency - a long shelf mounted on the wall to organize belongings; no dresser, but built-in shelves in the closet. I had a view (room 1007) of the City Hall, which just enchanted me! The windows were super dirty, but I blamed that on water conservation in the city. My room didn't have cold water, but there was a super-nifty filtered water machine on each floor by the ice machine.

First of all, I want to point out that the staff is AMAZING! Everyone I came in contact with from the front desk, the bell hop, the housekeeping and cafe staff all went above and beyond and provided excellent service!!!
Pros:
1) friendly, helpful staff
2) close to public transportation
3) the lobby has a great lounge area with plenty of comfortable seating and games (Life size connect four, shuffleboard)
4) CVS vending machine in lobby. Great for any medications and hygiene items you may have forgotten to pack
5) beds were comfortable
Cons:
1) The area is not the best, lots of homeless people

Loved the experience and our stay here!!! The front desk was super friendly and helpful. You can get discounts being a BEI hotel guest when you shop at the nearby grocery store, The Market on Market, and free delivery for grocery and prepared food.
Bed is incredibly comfortable.
Will stay here again for sure.

I've stayed at BEI quite a few times. Very convenient if you're going to a show at Bill Graham or hangin around the area. The room price is usually pretty competitive for SF. Even though this is my preferred hotel in SF, there are a few things I don't like.
First off, there are no full length mirrors in the rooms. I've stayed here while the place was under construction for remodel and I was hoping once it was all done, mirrors would be added in the rooms.
Secondly, at a whopping 4' 11", I find the bathroom sink to be a little too high.
Third the parking is pretty

Ok I am giving this place a 4 star rating purely based on price. The price for the room and for parking is awesome! I'm a little torn because we used to stay here when it was the holiday inn and it was really good. I think the lobby looks amazing! But the room was disappointing. You can tell they had great visions for it but the execution wasn't great. I've taken photos to show why. No coffee maker no mini fridge or microwave. No where but the tiny closet to put clothes and a family of 4 it was a tiny closet. The beds were comfy. The lighting was terrible in the room. The bathroom

I'm shocked by the amount of bad reviews that this hotel has. My experience has been good. The hotel is under construction but it's not a big deal... the restaurant is still open, bar, etc. the employees are professional, very friendly, and helpful. My boyfriend and I think that the rooms are super clean and comfy. the room comes with the basics- TV, bed, table, shelf, nightstands, and the restroom is nice. We love our stay with BEI so far and I definitely recommend staying here. The prices are fair and the rooms and comfy.
One thing we are unhappy about is that they don't even

The BEI hotel appears to be a very posh, modern high rise hotel in San Francisco. The lobby and first floor are decked out in an extremely classy and high end manner, with big open seating at a gaudy bar and dining area. It was mostly empty.
There is construction all over the hotel, and a lot of it is unfinished and blocked off. Two elevators are out of order and the waiting areas are dirty and it seems like there isn't much upkeep. The staff is friendly, but doesn't go TOO far out of their way for you. The bathroom was clearly not clean, with opened shampoo left on the side of the tub

Our stay at the BEI hotel was, to put it simply, bizarre. Some parts were nice, like the bed and the shower; other parts were not nice, like the construction outside of our window, in the hotel lobby and elevators, and at one point in our room with me in it.
Many hotel staples were absent (drawers for clothing, coffee machines, mini fridges, room service), instead replaced by yoga balls and yoga mats. Call me old fashioned, but I'd take the mini fridge any day.
When all of the above is considered, what is left is a hotel experience that feels overwhelmingly cheap. There was a serious lack

DO NOT STAY HERE! It is a rob what they make you pay for this place. Its beat down with cheap furniture and stains on the carpet floor. The staff is rude and the manager doesnt even have the decency to actually deal with customer complaints. He completely ignore us when we were trying to talk to him about the room.
