I have to say it, excluding the Urban Alchemy, I feel like I'm living in a 5 * hotel. Rooms are really clean and well kept. They come in and clean up every week. Flat Screen tv with dish cable. Bathroom and balcony with beautiful 😍 T.L. view. Suicide friendly balcony, lol. Check out the pics.

My complaint was about the parking lot worker. I don't know his name, but he had long hair. Today, my husband pulled into the parking lot and before the car stopped, he walked up to us and banged on our window like a maniac. I was so shocked. Luckily there were no children in the car, or they would have cried. Then I got out of the car and he started swearing at me: he (my husband) doesn’t know English? Why he didn’t look at me... and talk a lot, oh my God, inexplicable, I don't know what's wrong with him, we don't know English? Can you be so rude to us without knowing English? Is this discrimination

COVA = Comfort & Value
While not located in the *best* part of San Francisco, the hotel itself was nice for the price. We had a pretty standard room (Superior King) that was roomy enough for me and my husband. Our room was tucked away into a little corner of the hotel, which was kinda awkward, but nothing to really complain about. Everyone on staff was friendly and accommodating. While there didn't seem to be a thermostat in the room, they had both a portable fan and heater provided in the closet. We used the heater every night since we had our visit in December 2019 (edited a misspelling and

Boutique Hotel (with restaurant) has relatively stylish decor with ambient lighting, spacious rooms and updated bathrooms. The location is on Larkin & Ellis in the Tenderloin, (careful!) However, it's slightly on the edge of the TL, next to restaurants and the large Hostel hotel. It's also just one block from Polk Street. Walk up Polk for more restaurants, bars, &etc.

Upon arriving at the hotel lobby, the setting was cozy and modern-looking. Staff was accommodating. Room was kinda small for 4 persons. So, sharing is not recommended. No ref in the room. By the way, there was no AC. A fan was provided in the room. Coffee maker was not working. Key card was always malfunctioning. Parking was expensive. You are gonna be forced to pay the price because it's not well-located. Neighborhood was not safe. The attendant in the parking was Turkish and the communication was difficult. If you're saving money this is not the place to check, but if you have no choice at all

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast and a ride to union Square or fisherman's wharf were really good. Just a shame about the area at night as the hotel is located next to 2 homeless shelters there was a lot of homeless people about. They will not bother you but it does make you feel a little uneasy at points. This doesn't bring down how good the hotel was hence 5 stars

This place was a joke. I saw it on line and was impressed with the balcony and views, as well as the room. They failed to photograph the empty has been closet that was equip with a plug in space heater and a plug in fan because there is no air. The amazing view was that of the garbage cans and parking lot, the balcony was nonexistent, and we were Freezing all night then woken up by sirens and the garbage truck taking the garbage. When we walked outside the the hotel there were people shamelessly smoking crack and shootings up heroine!!! All of this with the robust scent of pee! I would never

My stay was satisfying. The staff were courteous and very helpful. The room were clean and spacious and the stay was absolutely a joy. There are some homeless on the nearby streets but the hotel is safe.

They also offer complimentary breakfast which is well sorted with food. They allow eat in or take out which is great in case you just want to go back to your room.

The only drawback is the parking handled by a third party company. They were not to pleasant to deal with.

I only regret that I was not able to visit the bar and terrace which I hear is fantastic.

We've stayed here a couple of times. For the price, you get a good night sleep in a clean and spacious room. However here's the downside, over the years the homelessness has gotten worse in SF just as it has in LA, this is especially evident in the Tenderloin district where Cova is located. One can witness the marginalized population all throughout Ellis street, active drug users and people peeing on the sidewalk. I don't recommend anyone walking at night alone in this neighborhood.

Other couple of things to note, the hotel rooms don't have AC. For hotter days, we had the

This hotel is located in the tenderloin district. In the lobby, they have posted routes of areas to avoid which are basically all around the hotel. Most people would not feel comfortable walking anywhere from this hotel. I booked it because it was close to the Moscone Center and figured I could walk it. I travel, I've been to NYC and Chicago, I've been to San Francisco several times. I've never seen a place quite like this...

Upon arrival, the valet driver was yelling for me to move my car but offering no direction as to where it should go... seeming irritated that I wouldn&apos

Amazing staff! We stayed here for 3 nights and we were so impressed with everything. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was included and definitely better than any other free breakfast I have had at a hotel. The complimentary shuttle was amazing! Always on time and saved us a ton of money! Super convenient. A lot of people seem to be hesistant because of the neighborhood but we had no issues! The shuttle made it so we hardly ever had to walk beyond the courtyard and to even get on the elevator you have to swipe your key. I was very impressed with the safety measures taken to help guests

Great hotel, helpful staff. Very clean and friendly staff. Pamela in the breakfast area was very sweet and accommodating. The hotel is well decorated lots of attention to detail. I really liked the decor. the front desk and shuttle drivers we so friendly and accommodating. The hotel and the owner and the people working it cannot do anything about the homeless people outside. It doesn't matter if you stay at the ritz Carlton that's just what is going on in this city and this time in history. It's politics. The hotel it a great hotel. The shuttle bus was very convenient to spots like

Cova is a great hotel! Bryan checked us in with enthusiasm and ready to answer any questions we had. We stayed in the suite and it gave us plenty of room to feel at home. LOVE the French patio doors that open which gives you plenty of fresh air! I would have to say the the best part, their rooftop! Views and lots of space to kick back. Their complimentary breakfast was always what we needed in the morning. Plenty of options. I see many comments on location and yes, there is homelessness but the people do not bother you. But as far as location it's within walking distance to Union Square which

Our stay at Cova was booked by someone who had never been to San Francisco and thus, despite all the homeless people walking around, could not believe that an area like the Tenderloin exists in the gleaming metropolis of the city by the bay. (Almost her exact words.)

The hotel is good, it just happens to be in a bad area. The staff are all very friendly and helpful if you need anything. Front desk was always staffed every time we went down, as was the parking area.

The room we stayed in was very stuffy, but has a sliding window that you could open to let air in. Rooms have a central heater,

Whatever you do - DO NOT order room service!!!!!! We were completely robbed !!! BUYER BEWARE!!!
We ordered food to our room and paid over $50. It was delivered in a bag so I did not see all the contents at first. We paid and left a fat tip only to find that we were missing two items we ordered. The food they did actually deliver was wet and leaking and not fully cooked. We threw it right in the trash. We called room service back to complain that we were overcharged as they did not even deliver our entire order. They basically gave us the run-around to "call back tomorrow." Long story

Stayed at the Cova Hotel for two nights with some of my best friends for my birthday! We got two rooms and the hotel worked hard to make sure we were next to each other and on the same floor. They were really friendly and accommodating to my guests and I! The hotel has a super cute rooftop with lights and a semi good view of the city. The breakfast is also very simple but enough. It was a sit down restaurant style buffet, but you could take things back to your room or eat outside!

Valet was very easy and the staff there was very efficient and professional! They're a different company aside

** This hotel is not on the safest street in the city **
There are a good amount of homeless people around the area, but if your planning to Uber everywhere or have a car it shouldn't be a problem. It's manageable to walk around the area because the streets are safer and nicer a couple streets over.

They also have free shuttles that take you to the main parts of the city!

The inside of the hotel and the rooftop definitely make up for the bad area. The rooms were really nice and modern. The rooftop was cute with little hanging lights. The complementary breakfast was better than most

Seems like everyone on yelp are a bunch of babies.
The tenderloin is no different than DOWNTOWN LA or NYC. I grew up in Elizabeth,NJ so I seen my share of rough areas.

Rest to sure it can look and feel intimidating but walk and don't stare or stop when something happens.

THE HOTEL IS AMAZING!!!
The staff accommodated any request I had. Every time I passed the staff they smiled or said Good morning.
