Front desk and cleaning staff were super nice and helpful. The place was clean but my room was extremely dated and kinda depressing and not worth the price.
Other rooms I walked by looked nicer so maybe I was just given a bad room. For less than half the price you can stay at a really nice hostel.
I will mention it was freezing. I have asthma and would not recommend this place mostly because of the temperature. I woke up and all my stuff was damp. I slept in my down sleeping bag and was still cold. My windows were completely dripping with condensation in the morning. Radiator didn’t work and

I have stayed here for years and while it’s not the traditional hotel (shared restroom, semi-residential, etc), it is a great place to stay for friendliness, cleanliness, location, and price. The rooms are nice, you have easy access to most of town through transit, and you are close to great night life.

What a great Hotel! Great breakfast, nice simple lobby bar, and rooms are very cleaned and well-arranged. Everything works well including the wifi. There was even a sauna on every floor to complete your memorable experience. I will be recommending your Hotel to all of my friends and family! I am very happy with this service!

***My favorite hotel in San Francisco because of the staff***, clean bathrooms, modest pricing, great customer service: sweetest people work here, Puja was our favorite clerk she helped us get the best price and made sure we always had everything we needed, extremely professional as well. Stay here, even the manager is an honest guy and will talk to you.

I booked this room for 2 nights a Monday and tuesday to be close to my husband who was having surgery at CPMC Mission Bernal campus. I had a really hard time finding the place even with navigation because the sign on the front is totally covered by large trees! Wasted a lot of time. Finally parked in front right next to an empty parking lot which was not available for parking. I unloaded my luggage into the lobby. I was told to look on Valencia Street for a parking spot I would need to vacate in the morning. No parking spots within 6 blocks of this place! I walked by bars every other building with

First visit to SF and this hotel was great for the price. We paid like 120 a night and we booked last minute. Location is good, we walked to most everything. Our room had a private bathroom that was new renovated and was just perfect. Room was small but who cares as you only sleep there. One thing I will add that isn't relevant to this hotel is that if your parking a car from out of state on the street you WILL have your window broken. Had mine broken after several people warned me. Pay to park it in a garage.

The rooms are very dated, as is the hallway and general areas. Screens seem to be entirely optional here for windows. The rooms do not have attached baths, but instead have a sink, and the common toilets and showers work well enough. The location of the hotel itself is splendid. It was so easy to get here from the airport, I couldn't be more pleased. The value for money is definitely not here. Spending more than $100 a room for this is not exactly what I'd call cheap or even affordable. That all being said, it serves it's job as a place to crash after a day touring the city, and for that, I can

Great location. Was very central to anywhere we were trying to go. Quick walk to Castro and also close to a grocery store and many other restaurants. Our room was decent size and we paid more for a room with a private shower so we didn't have to leave the room to get ready. Friendly staff as well and would definitely stay here again

I'm ok with the shared bath and toilet but the guy at the front desk was clueless.
My tv remote wasn't working. So he gave me another. Still not working. Gave me another that had no batteries!!! Then another. Not working. Finally gave me ( so he said) the actual remote for his own tv which was for a different system all together!!!!
I was gonna stay here again but already cancelled that reservation. Bye!!!!

Stayed at Twin Peaks during my three days in SF.
Jay greeted us and was very kind and friendly. The room was clean and organized. We mostly came here to sleep. We had no problem with the shared restroom and bathroom. They were always clean. Very amicable residents as well. It's in a great location of the city. Close enough to some attractions like the painted ladies, SF mission, and twin peaks tower.

I stayed three nights here recently and very much enjoyed my stay. The highlight of my time there was the amazing customer service I received from the front desk attendant whom I also think is the manager. He seemed to be always there behind the desk. My first night he patiently helped me with a noise issue I was having with the person next door to my room. What's more he happily switched my room out the following day and the new room was much better! He was such a friendly calm guy. Really made my stay enjoyable. The hotel itself is very old but lends itself well to anyone who appreciates

Ok, so this is a VERY inexpensive hotel in an amazing part of a very expensive city. This hotel is great if you plan on sleeping and showering in your hotel and then spending the rest of your time exploring. If you want a luxurious hotel to lounge around and relax in, this is probably not it.
Our room was very small, but clean and pretty quiet for being in SF. The bathrooms are shared (down the hall) but always vacant when we needed them and also clean. Staff was super friendly and always available to help.
Great value for the money - once again - if you are not spending a lot of time IN

Our room was clean, we brought our own linens after reading some reviews about stained sheets/bed bugs. It was super convenient to have a sink in the room and sharing a bathroom wasn't an issue; it was never occupied. It was a quiet stay. No specific complaints. It's not a Marriott, if that's what you're used to, and definitely not as bad as some hostels/motels out there. Decent for young adults looking for a decent price hotel. And you CANNOT beat the location. Quick walk to bar hop in the mission and great brunch in the Castro.

You get what you pay for in a new way. This is place is cheap and weird but is awesome in the only way that matters; it's clean. Walking towards my room the scene of the hallway was drab but it smelled clean with no particular odor. Checked the bed and sheets were all white board discoloration. Fresh white towels laid on the shelf space squeezed next to the bed. It was pretty awesome. I used the shared toilet which was in good condition and then we then dropped off our things and headed out into the night. Got in around midnight and passed out in the bed which wasn't quite comfortable but I'm not

This is still a good way to save money on a trip to the city. The price has risen to over 400 bucks for a week. It still has a great location. I still can walk all over.
Two big negatives one reservations. Last time I came I was lucky they had a room as they had lost my reservation. Also both that trip and this I requested the lowest floor and wound up higher. This trip I am on the top floor. There is no elevator and I have found the higher you are the worse the wifi is. About half the time I get no signal on any of the different names they say to use. The other half the time I get

Look, you're paying for location, and it's great. You're on the same block as Church street station, 5 minute walk to Castro. Safeway, Walgreens, funky bars/restaurants/coffee joints are all within a block. The place is OLD but everything (linens, bathrooms) were clean. The front desk was very kind-you just need to be nice and smile. It was hot and there's no AC (or elevators) but I called and they brought a fan to my room. Everyone had their windows open and that made for close contact, it's mostly who is staying there that makes a big difference, and during my stay guests

I though I wrote a review before but can't seem to find it. I have stayed in the twin peaks many times over the last 8 years. I think the management has changed a few times. Every time I return I find the place to be cleaner and the front desk more helpful and very friendly. This is a very standard low budget european style hotel (shared bathrooms) which they keep spotless, they are in there cleaning 2-3 times a day..I have never had to wait for a shower, ever. It has direct out the door service to the vintage F troll (the wharf - the castro) the church street muni (you can get anywhere

Honestly, I love this place! These people are kind and the location of this hotel is Perfection! (smack dab in the middle of where I like to be) A very clean room (I always check for bugs, stains and old condoms) with a TV that we ended up watching an Arrested Development marathon on during much of our stay. We had our own sink with a mirror and the bathroom/shower across the hall that we used regularly was cleaned almost everyday. We shared it with one other person (who we never saw and never has any issues with) Hotel was very responsive and It was just what we needed. We stayed there for a whole

These guys were awesome. The cleaning staff was vigilant, we saw them every day cleaning the bathrooms and showers, and every day we didn't have our "do not disturb" sign up they cleaned our room and left us clean towels.
The management is cool. One of the guys who rang us up had a black and white shirt that said "Got Curry?" The prices are very reasonable (we paid double for a worse hotel in the Mission).
They were very accommodating during our apartment search. They let us order a minifridge and keep it in the room. They let us order all sorts of things.
I would
