Asylum is for people who are in the United States who are afraid to their country of original because they have already suffered persecution or because they have what our government calls a "well-founded fear" that they will suffer persecution in the future if they are forced to return. But that is not all.
We understand how important H-1B Visas are to our clients, and that a successful outcome has a profound impact not just on an individual, but on an employer as well. H-1B Visa applications, whether they are new H-1B visas or an H-1B transfer or H-1B extension, do require careful attention and strong communication - but with both in place, the process is often more simple, and more stress free than many of our clients expect.
While it's much easier to answer this after speaking with you directly, there are a few general requirements that must be met. First off, there MUST be a job offer in place from a United States employer, and it must require at a minimum a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a specific field or related field.
For H-1B visa qualification, 3 years of job experience equals 1 year of university level coursework studies. Therefore if you have a 2 year degree and 6 years of job experience you may, by combining the work experience and 2-year degree, have the equivalent of a bachelor's degree in a certain field.
This visa allows businesspersons who are citizens of countries that have entered into trade treaties with the United States to more easily engage in international trading activities within the United States as long as they plan on either individually engaging in substantial trade with the U.S. or they work for an organization that does substantial trade with the United States.

The initial process was long and tedious but the team at Lighman Law Firm made it very clear and easy for both myself and my employer. The team was assigned to my case was very fast and responsive if all questions I had.
My second time working with Lightman Law Firm was in 2017 when I needed to renew my H1B status. That time it was even easier.

Well I didn't have a great experience...
It took 5 phone calls in 10 days to finally got the lawyer on the phone ( he had to call me back of course). And he had no clue who i was.
Neither name or story! i wonder how he got my number with half the infos.
Then all he did was cutting me when i was answering basics questions. So rude! if you have no time don't take a client on the phone, you are not running a food delivery!
I wanted a lawyer to help on my immigration issue and they said they couldnt help me... disappointed i the least i can say from a immigration lawyer. What i need is

Doug and Iris were fantastic in helping my wife get through the green card process. From filing the paperwork, to always clearly answering our questions, to Doug swiftly jumping into action to correct an error made by the USCIS officer that could have drawn out the process for a number of additional months. We found Doug and his team to be very supportive, and made the entire process very smooth and easy for us. The most stressful part was the long waiting for the Gov't to interview us.

I used Lightman Law Firm to help me with my TN Visa and I had a great experience! I ended up getting approved the first time and the process was a lot more seamless thanks to all their help and hard work! Doug was also very responsive to all my emails and answered all my allbeit silly questions that I had about this Visa. Just successfully received my EB-1 greencard. It went fast with their efficient support. They're the most helpful and trustful attorney I've met on my long history of dealing with working visa.

Was instrumental in shepherding through my various applications. The immigration landscape is not only complex but somewhat ambiguous. Doug not only knew the rules and the law, but was able to provide me with the benefit of his experience of how government agencies operate in that world.
