All color prices listed are starting prices, and may increase based on length and/or texture of hair. Dry Styling (curls or flat iron) $40 - $50 - Refresh your style anytime, no shampoo, arrive with clean DRY hair. We understand that unavoidable circumstances come up and you need to change your schedule.

Salon V was founded by wife and husband Vernelle and Alan Murphy in 2004. They wanted a friendly "no attitude" retreat for New Yorkers and new comers alike to enjoy. Originally located in the East Village, Salon V relocated its establishment to the bustling Greenwich Village in 2014 where at that time Meg Digiovanni joined as partner.
To show our appreciation for sending your friends our way, you and your friend will receive $20 off your next service every time you refer a friend to Salon V. Make sure to request referral cards to give to your friends! These undesirable scalp conditions have been found to originate from one common root cause - excess fatty acids from the scalp.
Classes are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays starting at 10am and ending about 12pm. This is a set date and time, and cannot be scheduled for alternate dates/times. Please be aware that sometimes classes will go slightly past 12pm, so please allow for extra time if needed. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours notice so that we may find a replacement model in time.

Had an absolutely amazing haircut with James at Salon V yesterday. Coming out of Covid hair, he had previously shaped the bottom after I had trimmed it myself (Covid, remember?) and had styled my bangs with texture techniques to be really flattering. But yesterday we really jived! He first listened to what I wanted and didn't want - I have very thick hair, and want to remove volume, and allow waves, without layering. OMG. I was lucky to find this place soon after they moved to this space and have been going ever since. I’ve had a great experience with all the stylists, but especially so with the amazing Ellen and Stephanie. It’s a beautiful and welcoming space. Glad I found my go to hair place after lots of misses around the neighborhood. I had to move away about two years ago and came back while I was in town for a weekend because I hadn’t found anyone. Now I’ve relocated back and am so happy to be able to go back regularly.

I just got my hair cut, colored, and highlighted at this salon a few weeks ago. I was blown away by the services they provided to me. I have been going to Salon V for the past few years and no one does my hair quite like Ellen. She is the absolute sweetest, and I know I'm getting an amazing cut and blow dry every time. Her knowledge is unmatched, and she has been helping me tremendously on managing my hair growth and style for my wedding later this year. She also only recommends treatments and products that are really needed, which I love her honesty. Overall the salon is beautiful and prices are really good for the amazing quality. I felt like I was in a spa. I had an amazing experience from the moment I walked in till the second I walked out. The staff from the receptionist to apprentices where so welcoming. I saw Christina for my color not only did she take my red to the next level she gave my curls more bounce. Its so hard to find a stylist to understands tight curly hair and can cut and style it. RECOMMEND!!

Absolutely love this salon, been a customer since 5 years now and can only say the best things. Meg is my favorite, she's the absolute best, but really everyone I went to did an amazing job. My husband, my kids everyone loves the team here, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and I feel absolutely safe with all the measures they have in place. I'd give 10 stars if I could!

My partner and I went to Salon V on the recommendation of her sister. We both have long hair and wanted to donate some while still having a good look. Stephanie B did us and we were very happy with our new do! She and the rest of the staff were super nice and kept the salon very clean. As a guy I did not feel awkward being in a salon and enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend Salon and Stephanie B for your next cut and style.

I've been a client of Salon V for many years (since their East Village days!) and I've been to several stylists for haircuts and for highlights. Today was my first time visiting since Corona changed everyday life, including salon visits, for all of us. I was booked to see Amanda today and I couldn't be more pleased with the thought the salon put into precautionary measures and with my haircut!

I stopped by Salon V because they sell Kevin Murphy hair products and I was out of my beloved free.hold styling paste. Since I also needed a haircut I book an appointment with Christina the same afternoon. I don't really like getting my hair cut, but Christina did an amazing job. She was gentle and made sure to understand exactly what I wanted. She did an amazing job cutting my hair and she was super diligent and made sure everything looked the way I wanted it to. I am so ABSURDLY happy with my experience at Salon V today, I almost teared up. I am only in NYC for a few days this trip, and remembered literally yesterday that I desperately needed a cut and color before THIS weekend. I found this salon on yelp, and was pleased that they not only offered online appointments but could see me the next day- I.e., today.

I had to jump on here and write a review IMMEDIATELY, because I couldn't be more pleased with the results.
I didn't like my blonde hair color, which was a result of a hair job done at &hair lounge a while back that was supposed to be an ombré from brown to a cool tone light brown (lesson learned: don't use purple brightening shampoo on brown hair). For the upcoming autumn, I wanted a darker brown with a mix between balayage and ombré. Wasn't too sure what I wanted, but I definitely didn't want basic. James heard my calling and gave me this beautiful brown balayage

I recently wanted a change to my hair. I've had long hair since 2012 and decided to chop 8 inches off and go with a new do! . I had a number of insecurities about what my hair would like and whether I really wanted to do this. Ellen was fabulous. I loved it! I'm not a person who frequently goes into hair salons (in fact I find them a tad intimidating). Usually, I get a cut at the cheapest place I can find or from a friend of a friend. But I had not had a haircut in months so I decided to try out a place while I was in NYC.

Went for single color process and they didn't remove the dye completely from my ears and hairline last nearly a year ago. But I loved the color and the fact that they use cruelty free products so I decided to give them another chance. I even mentioned it when they were shampooing and removing the dye from my skin. But once again, I had a ring around my head and my ears were brown. Luckily, I still had the bottle I bought last year to remove the dye from my skin. Weird how they let their clients walk out like that-both with Senior colorists and hair stylist. Will have to think about going
