Founder of Red Dot Fitness, Scott Howell is a dedicated certified health and fitness professional with over 2 decades of real world, practical, hands-on experience. Following his passion for helping people and living a healthy lifestyle, Scott began his professional career in 1996 as a personal trainer while pursuing a degree in business at Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo, California.
Catherine English, known as CeCe, has combined academic studies and real-world experience to form a professional philosophy around the belief that every individual has the ability to set and safely achieve wellness goals through fitness training.

CeCe began her professional career while in graduate school at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, serving as a graduate assistant ATC (certified athletic trainer) while completing her MS in Human Performance and Sports Studies and her PhD in Education with an emphasis in the Sociocultural Foundation of Sports and Education.
Rachel has always been enamored with sports and fitness. Growing up, her parents put her in every sport camp they could think of from tennis, basketball, and even surfing. If you can name it, she's probably played it. It was through these opportunities where Rachel realized she was passionate about volleyball and lacrosse, both of which she played throughout her high school career.

The trial PT evaluated you but did not provide much feedback, after the trial they only promoted you packages and told you the package price. later I asked the group class trial, They declined my request to have trial of their barbell club.! I write this review, just due to their word, 'Our gym does not seem like the right fit for you' I had told them I did deadlift, squat for several month with my previous PT ,but nothing is wrong with my right shoulder pain. During the trial PT, they asked your job position and your marriage status, which makes people not feel comfortable. From my view, they

Although I only subscribed to their classes for a short while, I highly recommend their group classes. Working with Mark G., Ryan A., and Mark C. has helped my physical strength, endurance, and "balance". Their trainers create a welcoming environment for all fitness levels. They actively coach and correct your technique which is a huge positive. I used their classes to get back into a competitive sport and it sure helped me ease back into it.

1. They(the business founder) only care the money, but not the customers.
2. Rude and bad attitude. They offer bad and terrible customer services. Don't expect that they will refund you anything if you find out you don't like the services.
3. In addition, just want to give you a head-up that most of their trainers (at least 2 I know) were tested positive for the Coronavirus but still work with their customers closely. If you don't mind, you can still work out at this gym, but I would rather go somewhere else, for my safety.

The gym is immaculate and outfitted with the best equipment. The coaches are knowledgeable and hungry to continue to learn and master their craft. Clients are in good hands under Scott and Cece's leadership. As fellow coaches in the personal training industry this is a place I couldn't recommend enough and would be proud to be a part of.

Red Dot Fitness is the place to workout now that gyms are opening up again! Not only is the staff knowledgable and personable, but the resources and equipment available to gym goers is outstanding and top-notch. Don't be afraid to ask staff for help if you are a beginner; I am a newbie and they have taught me so much over this last year (pre-covid closing gyms). They are extremely clean with designated sanitation stations while providing endless access to disinfectant wipes, leaving me feeling safe & sound. I HIGHLY recommend this gym! Happy to be back.

This review is NOT for the use of the gym or fitness instructors; it's for the antibody testing for Covid-19 that this facility claims to offer.

I scheduled an appointment online and paid the $75 administrative fee (twice; myself +1) that's due upon confirming the appointment (an addt'l $150/each is due upon arrival of the testing). Red Dot claims that the $75 fee is for "processing, materials, and equipment" and $25 is for the blood draw fee and furthermore that they are not making money from this service.

I never was one to go to a local gym, mostly because I figured it would be more than a franchised membership. But the customer service here is undeniable, trainers remember your name, laugh and form a great relationship early on, which encourages you to keep going to the gym. It's somewhere that isn't intimidating, but welcoming of all shapes and sizes. I felt the staff was very concerned with my form, and my safety, in the group classes. The classes are limited on the weekends, although the variety during the week makes up for that.

I love the small group classes at 🔴! You get a lot of one-on-one attention correcting your movements. I get a great workout every time I go! Staff is friendly and everyone knows your name!

Came in today to visit Dr.Dani, she was very helpful. I left today without pain. Red Dot has an amazing staff, from the moment you walk in you are greeted in a very professional and friendly way. These guys are crushing it, tons of knowledge they definitely educate you to set you up for a successful fitness future.

This is a wonderful gym with a supportive, collaborative environment and excellent equipment. Prepare to be challenged but also to be met where you're at with modifications, encouragement, and no shaming! The owners are always around, involved, and treat each and every person who walks through the door with care, attention, and respect as do the staff. It is an inclusive, lgbtq friendly space with all-gender restrooms, changing rooms, and showers.
I have significant experience working with different trainers, coaches, and physical therapists, which is why I appreciate the focus on proper form

I would DEFINENITELY recommend Red Dot Fitness!

I moved to San Jose about 3 months ago. I was looking for a gym that offered fitness classes so I could continue to work a fitness program I had started before I moved. I heard about Red Dot Fitness and decided to give it a try. I found the instructors to be extremely knowledgeable about the body and how to train. The staff is very welcoming and in a short time I got to know nearly everyone and felt a real sense of community.

I am very pleased I chose Red Dot Fitness and my workout club.

There is no open gym without first paying for group classes. The group classes are highly overpriced and are all similar in style of class at differing levels of fitness. The facility itself is very nice but it's not worth 400-600$ a month for a power lifter to come here to train a few hours a week.

Bottom line, if you are a power lifter or strongman/woman, you will not find what you are looking for here.

If you want to improve your health, become stronger, and enjoy the process, Red Dot Fitness is the perfect gym. With a diagnosis of osteoporosis, I turned to CeCe and Scott for strength training to see if I could fight this disease. With their help I no longer have a diagnosis of osteoporosis. The strength training workouts worked, and as an added bonus, my lab reports are the best I have ever had. My doctor is pleased with my progress and advises that I continue my strength training. The trainers at Red Dot Fitness make the workouts fun, are all very knowledgeable, and they want to help you

I've been in the health and wellness industry since 2002. I am a joint pain specialist in San Jose and work with clients that see fitness trainers or do group fitness classes. Many of these clients have a challenging road to success because there fitness trainers over train them and it takes more time then it should to get them to stay in a healthy alignment. But every client I send to Red Dot Fitness continues to improve their body and achieve their fitness goals all without over stressing their joints. I look forward to continuing to send my clients to RedDot and make my job a lot easier

Dropped in a class in this training studio. If you are looking for a smaller size group class with professional trainer who gives much attention on each student, this is worth trying. In class, instructors project the group/set exercise on TV, watch your formation and gives you heads-up when your formation is wrong.

The private shower rooms are clean and cozy. The floor in the shower room is dry, which means they clean it after each use. In a word, this is a very caring place. Each of their staff builds close relationship with their members. You won't waste your time here.

Wonderful locally owned gym on Alameda offering small group classes, personal training sessions, nutrition and more! This gym has all the equipment and amenities you need (showers/towels/etc) for a killer workout along with super friendly staff.

They offer a free first class too, so I came for the 45 min TRX/KB class which was a really good workout with a great instructor. Hope to be back soon! Also nice coffee shops nearby for a post workout treat!

The 5:15 am class is worth the drive and the early morning routine. Jesse is a great instructor :)

Scott and his team of trainers are honestly the best. They care about your fitness journey, your form, the facility, equipment and everything you need. I've been following them from the old location to the new one and been training here for couple years. Every person is professional, kind and all about the techniques, which is the most important thing to me. Their classes are structured, always a challenging but rewarding workout, and now with the new place, spacious, clean and full of amenities, what's not to love!

I recommend this awesome local business to everyone that lives in this

I had the absolute pleasure of training with Krysta for over a year, and I cannot thank her enough. I always enjoyed coming in to work out, and she taught me so much about exercise, nutrition, and overall physical health. She is knowledgeable and flexible to each of her clients. While training with her, I had body changes including gains in my strength and mobility.

I started with Red Dot in their old facility, so I was able to see the transition to their new location. Let me tell you- their current location is incredible. Brand new, spacious, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere. I can't recommend

Impression: Was invited as a +1 guest for the Yelp Elite event recently. The atmosphere of the gym was upbeat, fun, energizing. The decor is something like a cross between rustic meets gym rat. It is a smaller gym- definitely not the size of the chain gyms like 24 fitness. However, they do carry all the equipment that you may need and they are brand spankin' new.

Experience: Met a few of their trainers who were very helpful and friendly. They had little 15 minute workshops where they worked with you on a variety of exercises. Favorite equipment there has to be the TRX suspensions. They

Great equipment, amazing staff. Outgoing, friendly, open, supportive, fun, and funny. They push you but also understand how to make a workout stick or last.

The staff is knowledgeable in a variety of areas, and are open to teaching across them even if they know only a little. They're willing to step outside of comfort zones to help members/attendees do the same.

They have a lot of equipment, so they'll be something for anyone and everyone.

Working out at Red Dot is one of the best decisions I've made for my health and well-being. I've been training with Dr. Catherine "CeCe" English for almost two years.

I'd just turned 50, and I was informed enough to know that my aging body was on a deteriorating trend, as far as body composition and bone density. I made a goal to become STRONG and BENDY.
