I took my family here for dinner. I'm not sure it's the best place for family dining but my daughters were very excited to go to such and "adulty" restaurant.
We all liked everything we got.
gnocchi was a hit with my oldest daughter
Pasta with sauce was popular with the youngest
We had focaccia app as well as a special for the day and both were wonderful
Both my husband and I had really good entrees also. I had eggplant, he had fish.
I would go again here.
The server was great. The ambiance was nice.
Good job

ItalX
Having a love of Italian food meant that a trip to ItalX in the new City Center complex in downtown Lexington was a must. We had hoped to get there much sooner, but was it ever worth the wait…
The space has great ambiance. Light, airy, tastefully understated, yet very inviting. We were fairly early diners and were glad to see the space very active, yet reasonably quiet. If you dine in Lexington you know how some spaces resonate so much noise it can be distracting… ambiance and attention to detail mean something, and ItalX hit both. By the end of our meal the space was filled - so happy

Can not recommend Italx enough! This restaurant is such a great addition to down town Lexington. The food is exceptional and their house made pasta is EVERYTHING. The wine selection is specific to Italian varieties and have a wide offering. A sophisticated ambience perfect for any special evening or date night. My last visit was this past weekend for my birthday, fast service and amazing food as usual. I will be dreaming of the spaghetti carbonara for the rest of my life!

I have enjoyed dining at the bar a handful of times. This classy, modern Italian restaurant is situated in the Marriott complex downtown. The decor is swanky and contemporary, with a warm touch of velvet furniture and cool tiles. The bar isn't extremely spacious, but the friendly bartender, Joey, makes sure all patrons are well assisted.
They have wonderful homemade pastas here, I particularly enjoy the cacio e pepe! This dish is easy to make, but hard to master. I think Italx's version is divine. Thick, homemade oversized bucatini noodles with a rich cheesy glaze and potent cracked

ItalX is an upscale but not pretentious Italian eatery with great service that went out of its way to make our large party feel at home.
Due to a combination of the start of Horse racing and UK basketball, it was almost impossible to find a reservation for our large group. Not only did ItalX find room for us but saved us a large private table in the back of the restaurant for our party. It was really appreciated.
Of course, the food was good too, a solid menu of Italian fare. Their take on Cacio e Pepe was very unique to me: long tubes of candele pasta with the requisite pepper and cheese. Some

Wonderful atmosphere, attentive service, and very delicious food. You need to expect to pay higher prices here than at some other Italian American restaurants, but the experience and ambience are worth the extra cost. Everyone enjoyed their food, with two notable items that were truly fantastic where the arancini appetizer and the seasonal special butternut squash angolatti (half moon shaped stuffed pasta).

Date night at ItalX was a Hit! If you're looking for authentic fresh Italian cuisine this is it. With just enough of an upscale atmosphere to make your date night feel special without feeling like your… completely out of place. We loved it can't wait to go again! Our server Jill definitely completed the amazing experience. She was attentive and made sure we understood the items on the menu when we asked.

Very impressed. I'm not big on pasta or Italian food, not for any other reason than I simply wasn't raised on it. Typically for me, Italian is Italian is Italian. Except when it's not. Italx is FANTASTIC Italian. Absolutely fresh pasta with such dynamic and thoughtful flavors packed into every bite. I'm so very happy we stepped in to try this place on a whim. We sat at the bar (as we prefer to do), and our bartenders were fun and knowledgeable, rounding out a truly great experience.

1st time here. Greeted with warm smiles across the floor. Gustavo took excellent care of us through his personal and professional delivery in recommendations and accommodation overall. Both service and food… were executed with elegance/I felt welcome, properly attended to in perfect time and all orders exceeded expectations. New “go to” Italian spot for sure!

Let's start with the good- the food is delicious. Everything we had, we loved. The amica cocktail was delicious, arugula salad was a good portion for $9, and the bolognese was also a great portion for ~$18-19 dollars. The atmosphere is great, good for a date night or girls night.
The not so good- old fashioned cocktail didn't hardly taste like anything besides water and bourbon.. granted it wasn't on their cocktail menu, but any bartender should make a good old fashioned, especially in Kentucky. My moms Caesar salad was $9 and considerably smaller than my arugula salad at $10.

This is the nice Italian restaurant Lexington has been waiting for! I encourage everyone to go!
Our experience started off with a text from them reminding us we had reservations and a tip to follow the large wine glass, which if we didn't have that we wouldn't have found it.
We were greeted as soon as we got to the door and seated immediately.
We started off with four appetizers and a round of cocktails. Arcanini were amazing, crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked and seasoned risotto on the inside. The meatballs were a good mixed and full of flavor and the charcuterie board

A group of friends met us here for dinner last week and had a great time. I believe our server’s name was April, she did a great job. I ordered a glass of Primitivo and my husband ordered an Old Fashion. We split the special appetizer of the evening, it was tortellini in a duck broth. Other guests shared calamari and I think the prosciutto di parma. We ordered the Bolognese and candele cacio e pepe. The candele meal was a little surprising because the noodles were huge, nothing like we’ve ever seen before, but both meals tasted delicious and were the perfect portion size. We finished our meal
