Like all great stories, this one started a long time ago in Italy with the Mastarone family and a long tradition of cooking for others and sharing a passion for great Italian food. Wow! I took a tour group of 36 folks here for dinner. What a great Italian restaurant with excellent value, wonderful service and attention to detail. Food portions are ample. Gordon and his staff were so attentive to our every need. We all agreed that if we are in Lexington again that we would have to go to Sutton's.

My husband, his family, and I went here last Sunday night and it was pretty good! We didn't have a reservation, but they still managed to seat our large group almost right away. The space is a little dark and cramped, but the mood is good and it is not too loud.
We had calamari as an appetizer: it was good but nothing special. We all tried different main dishes, and the favorites were their fra diavalo and the chicken Gorgonzola. The portions were large and the prices were decent. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful. Overall it was nice! I will go again!

Came here on Sunday afternoon. We had a friendly waiter. However, the food in my opinion was overpriced for what you get. I got the extra spicy dish because I love spicy food, but the issue wasn't the spice level (it wasn't actually that spicy) - it just wasn't very tasty (it was supposed to be their original recipe). The fried banana peppers were my favorite thing. The worst part about the experience for us was that we received bread that, as I was chewing it, I noticed a distinct blue spot of mold on the original piece - spat it out immediately. Staying in Lexington. Asked the lady at the hotel where we should go. Without hesitation she said Sutton's. Alicia was our server. Best service we have had, maybe ever. She talked to us like a friend. Took care of us like family. She is awesome!!! The food was incredible. My sister had Lasagna, I had a meatball sandwich, with a side of Alfredo. We had 2 great appetizers. My wife shared our meals. We couldn't eat it all! Best meal I have had in a long time. I hope everyone gets a chance to go there. And don't forget to ask for Alicia.

Everything was decent, but for the price you can get comparable quality at Olive Garden, with larger portion sizes. (Blasphemous, since it's just a chain, I know)
The biggest complaint was the seafood platter, for $30 you get a small portion of white fish (which while advertised as Norwegian salmon, I question the accuracy of this based on taste and texture), three small scallops and four shrimp (my guess is size 40-50).
Nothing was terrible, but I don't think I'll be back, there are too many other places to try.
Edit: After eating, I decided to check Yelp reviews after posting

Sutton’s catered my daughters wedding this past weekend. Gordon went out of his way to make sure her needs were met. From the beginning of the planning process he was very professional and wanted to make the process easy for her. The staff on site for the reception and cocktail hour were super friendly and hard working. The food was absolutely amazing! Everyone at the wedding loved the food. I can’t thank you and your staff enough for making her day the best ever! I will recommend you all to everyone. Wonderful service, amazing food, and friendly staff!

It is hard to explain how a hunk of iceberg lettuce can be so amazing but truly the wedge salad here is! It is a crisp wedge of lettuce with great blue cheese dressing, crumbles of blue cheese and what can I say ....bacon. I've made this at home and had it in other places but this one is great.
You can never go wrong with pizza here! We had the Deluxe on the most recent trip and it was great! This is an yummy mix of meat and veg. I am very partial to the oversized pepperoni they have. The pizza crust is thin and just has the "right kind of bite"

A nice, cozy place to grab a consistently great plate of food. We always sneak into the bar area if we can. The bartenders are fun and engaging with customers. The portions are large (especially anything with pasta), items are well cooked and flavorful. We tend to visit when in the mood for a no-fuss environment. Parking is never a hassle, and we can count on the food and service being great.

First let me start off by saying I love this place. I feel like it is a hidden gem off of Richmond road. Every time I eat here I leave thinking that was the best pasta I've ever had. I have tried a few different things but my favorite is the Alfredo with blackened shrimp. My boyfriends favorite is the Fra Diavolo! Both options are fantastic. We love the bread they give you, my only complaint would be that they are stingy on the bread. The price point is a little bit higher than other places, but it is worth it for the quality! Service can be hit or miss, but the food speaks for itself.

Great service! Yes, the food was good, calamari tender and not greasy, spinach salad delicious and seafood pizza was great. But the service was outstanding! Our waitress was so kind and we wanted to sit outside, the only table was in the sun and it was windy, so she let us move as soon as another table cleared. My sister is very picky and can be demanding, but our server was genuinely pleasant and accommodating.

GREAT FOOD!!! Highly recommend Sutton's for in door dining or takeout! Some people might think it's a bit pricey but our family loves going to this restaurant. Before the pandemic, it was our go to restaurant for weekly family get togethers!! The manager was always so welcoming and attentive! He knew us by name and we felt like family

I was pleasantly surprised with my meal at Sutton's. We ordered wings as an appetizer. We had half hot and half dry rub. The hot wings were great, but the dry rub was flavorless. I ordered a philly dip that was good, but if they cooked the onions more it would be better. I did not see the green peppers in the sandwich. Maybe because the onions were so big. Overall, good experience. Next time, I have to try the bread pudding.

I ordered through DoorDash, delivery to my hotel. The mussels were amazing. The Manzo pasta was advertised as spicy, but spoiler alert, it wasn't. It was just OK, I was expecting a little kick/something better.
The most disappointing part was I didn't receive the chocolate mousse I ordered. I was given a Caesar salad with vinegar dressing instead. The receipt for the second bag didn't say door dash on it or any identifiers, so it was a restaurant issue.
In addition, there was not an option to order plastic ware, plates, or napkins through DoorDash yet the receipt said no plates

After a paralyzing winter weather lockdown, we were finally able to catch up with a multi-birthday meal for several members of our family, and all we had to go on was that "Mom wants Italian". After doing a cursory search of ratings, menus, and seating availability, we landed on Sutton's; not just for the above-mentioned reasons, but what really sold us was the location, and the fact that we'd never eaten there before.

Ordered lasagna and eggplant Parmesan online. Went to pickup - should have done curbside. Bar was packed with 12 people around 4 tables. So much for 6 ft. Had to wait a bit for order. Normally food is awesome. However, my lasagna was burned - but not on the bottom side of the lasagna but on the inside the noodle. It was black and not able to cut. How does that happen? Did they burn the noodles then put it together? Did the drop it and then reassemble? Well maybe we will go back after Covid and give them another shot. See ya next year.

This was my and my family's first time eating at Sutton's and the restaurant has a nice chilled atmosphere, very laid back. We kicked off the night with a couple of salads along with some Calamari and fried banana peppers. The salads were standard and my wife loved all of the calamari as for me I stuck with the fried banana peppers, which was really good and crunchy that went along nicely with the dip.
For the entrees my wife and son got steak while I got the lasagna. While all three dishes were good they weren't great. They also forgot one of our sides and then rushed to get it out to us only

My fiancé and I came here for date night. Our server was good and the food was tasty. The meal came with warm bread and pesto oil for dipping. The manager stopped by to check on us. We ordered a bottle of white wine that came with a chiller. The atmosphere was very casual for a fairly high price point. The food presentation was also very casual. Overall a decent experience but maybe not my top choice for date night

Had a delicious lunch today! Love the pasta dishes and today I had the lasagna which was so good. For a lunch portion, I still had leftovers! And for dessert we split the tiramisu! OMG loved it! Thank you!

My first experience at Sutton's was certainly one for the books. Upon our arrival, freshly baked bread and a delectable olive oil embodied with delicious herbs and spices was brought to our table for five. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable of the menu selection and was able to make some wonderful recommendations. One guest with my party ordered the Pepperoni Pups as an appetizer and all we could say was WOW. Everything that is fried at this restaurant is hand breaded. NOTHING FROZEN or PRE-MADE.
