Bliss Restaurant, is a chef owned and operated restaurant located just south of downtown San Antonio. Southtown occupies two-square miles just a few blocks below San Antonio's vibrant epicenter. Services
Bliss' private event room accommodates up to 30 guests with a wide array of seating arrangement options: rounds, U shape and boardroom. The private dining room is equipped with power and data points, speaker system, high definition flat screen television and Wi-Fi connection. Consider Bliss for birthday parties, weddings, receptions, meetings and presentations, corporate events and more.

Absolutely amazing food. We started with Japanese Hamachi sashimi tostadas. I had the Grilled duck breast with butternut squash, pan-seared foie gras, and my husband had the Pan-seared beef tenderloin, twice baked potato gratin. Everything was exceptional. I was perfectly satisfied with the portion of duck, but I think some men would have still been hungry. Be aware that they do not have a full bar, but their wine list is very good.

This review is quite a couple months overdue, but in the advent of reminiscing about our San Antonio Trip, we wanted to tell the Yelp community all about our top dining experience at Bliss!
LOCATION/ATMOSPHERE 5/5: Bliss is truly a blissful experience for dining. It was a short Uber ride from our hotel, and we did make reservations in advance. They provide both indoor & outdoor seating, we got extremely lucky with our outdoor seats, because we were right next to the fire pit and we had an ample amount of warmth around us. The outdoor patio is intimate, has a ton of outdoor heaters, and beautiful

I mean what's to say. This is cream of the crop. The service, the atmosphere, the food, all top of the line. Each time we go it seems to get better. The food is honestly divine. I could live on the oyster sliders happily for the rest of my days. The scallops are like little bites of love. I just can't sing this places praises enough. And really while the food is top of the line the service is what keeps us coming back every single time.

My partner and I dined here a few days ago, and we had an excellent experience. In my reservation I left a note requesting the possibility of vegan accommodations, as I had seen other reviews discussing how wonderful they had been with accomodations in the past. When confirming my reservation they mentioned that they would have some items available. We were so pleased to know that there was a dish available for each course. We were beyond satisfied with our experience, and we will definitely be back.

Bliss is really a true 5 star experience. Starting with our server Bret, he was extremely knowledgeable about everything on the menu. He talked us through the charcuterie choices and helped up put together a great board. As Bret explained the menu he used salt fat acid heat to describe the Beef Tenderloin, it was cooked a perfect medium rare, with twice baked potato square and roasted shishito peppers and braised cauliflower, topped with crispy onion rings. It fit all of the four categories as described. We ended the meal with a butter cake that had an apple chutney, I do not care for cooked

There are not many restaurants who give you fantastic service, food and ambiance all at the same time. Celebrating a birthday we had a reservation of 9. We were promptly seated with a called in reservation no matter how many people from the party were present. We were immediately greeted by the best waiter, Marcie! She and attending staff took care of all of us and the manager Dorian came by more than once to tank us for joining and celebrating at Bliss. The food was amazing! Im vegan and was offered an off menu veggie platter the chef would throw together which was quite a treat! Other restaurants

Friendly staff, tasty food! Would give five stars but in comparison to other "fine dining" places at a similar price point it was just not comparable in terms of ambiance and quality of service. Still super good and would recommend going for apps and drinks. The charcuterie was very well priced and super tasty!

Bliss was an exquisite experience. My partner and I made reservations for a fancy date night and we were not disappointed!
The Spanish Octopus was divine! Perfectly cooked and paired with the potatoes.
The raw oysters with sauces and squid ink crackers were refreshing.
The Pork Belly masubi was awesome!
The custom charcuterie was amazing! We got ours made up with Golfetta Salami, Smoked Duck Breast, Bresaola, LaGrein, and Campo de Montalbon. Also with honeycomb, olives, and figs. Amazing!
Our waitress recommended the butter cake and it was phenomenal!
Obviously it's a little pricy but well

This restaurant is super swanky, with a nice mix of modern and industrial decor, but in a cozy comfortable sort of way. It is quite small, so I would definitely recommend reservations. The service was top notch and the food is just out-of-this-world! Everything was perfect - from flavor to texture, to the presentation and amount! Nothing was missing nor overdone...it was food art in its purest form! My wife and I went to a day trip to San Antonio and a friend told me just HAD to try Bliss, and man were they right! The sliders were fantastic, my wife had the norwegian salmon, and I had the beef tenderloin all of which was perfectly cooked. We finished the meal with the hazelnut poundcake which was pretty good, but probably the weakest part of the meal. Overall a fantastic dining experience, would definitely recommend!

The service and black tea were the only things that stood out here. The appetizers were underwhelming and the Halibut was just decent. We absolutely overpaid for dinner here.
Vibe: a single oscillating fan does NOT cut it on a typical summer evening ... and we weren't wearing heavy attire.
Tip: they only carry 5 or 6 beer types in can or bottle, wine and zero cocktails.

Such an amazing experience here. My family went to celebrate a birthday and the staff was so accommodating and wonderful to us!! The food was delicious—the sashimi tostadas, scallops, and the short rib were a crowd favorite at the table. The prices are high, but matched with the fine dining experience provided. A great place for a special occasion!

Wife took me out to bliss for my birthday. The experience was outstanding. The food was amazing as well and while portions were small we were pretty full by the time we left.
These are some of the best desserts I ever had and some of the richest entrees that were so well balanced on the plate that it never felt too rich. I had duck with foie gras and it was paired with strawberry greens with vinegar based dressing and cranberry sauce. Wife had quail with dirty rice and cranberry sauce. Service was outstanding. We were there for 3 hours and never felt rushed or forgotten or bugged/annoyed.

We did the chefs table which was an absolutely delightful experience.
The 7 courses were each individual in their own way, and they were very accommodating of my shrimp allergy. The greatest surprise was how incredible the Spanish octopus was. It was not chewy at all, and was cooked to perfection.
The only reason I give 4 stars vs 5 is because of how this stacks up against other chefs table experiences. We expected to be greeted by the chef and have them walk us through the menu or even to have the wine sommelier walk us through the wine list.
