Overall this place was ok. Our server was very nice but the food and drinks were just ok. The mimosas where $10 a glass and they were not worth the price and the coffees can put barely warm. The food was alright but the pork sausage they make also has chili pepper in it which I wasn't aware of and didn't like it at all. The only thing we really like was the bread they brought out as a starter. I do not recommend this place for breakfast/brunch because they really don't have breakfast/brunch items on their menu.

Absolutely!
What a San Antonio staple! Extremely pleasant atmosphere, ample dining/patio space, current staff members are great, and of course, the soul of such establishments, the food!
Their complementary assorted breads basket and the strawberry butter they serve it with is scrumptious!
You’ll find everything from Texas favorites, to typical bistro fare, and innovative takes on some classics. A little something for everyone, kids included.
I’m always very happy when we all agree on Cappys for brunch!

We stopped in for dinner, spontaneously, not knowing anything about the restaurant but we are adventurous. It did not disappoint, in fact, we had a really lovely night. There is a cute patio available, but we chose to eat inside. We highly recommend the brussel sprout appetizers! Amazing! Feel free to share a meal and save room for a delicious dessert, too! We can't wait to go back to the all the friendly staff, yummy cocktails, great food and another nice evening.

Visited for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and had a wonderful time! The service was incredible; everyone was attentive and we were checked on frequently by several members of the staff. The tables have this beautiful blue tile that was just gorgeous. Well decorated and clean. And the food! I had the Louie Benedict which comes with two amazing crab cakes instead of the Canadian bacon. The hollandaise was perfect with just a touch of added spice that was delicious. If I could give this restaurant a zero star rating I would but alas that's not an option. I ordered a medium rare prime rib for takeout, which was the special that day. To my surprise when I got home the steak was raw, I had to cook it myself for it to be edible. Worst most expensive steak in San Antonio

Wow!!! Our first time here - won't be the last!!
Atmosphere was great, food was even better!
Our server Bell did a phenomenal job taking care of us.
The lamb is some of the best my wife has ever had. My ribeye was flavorful, cooked perfectly. The sides complemented both of our meals perfectly.
Would highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or a small gathering.

We had a huge party for work at cappys and omg this place is delicious! I had the halibut and it was wonderful! Not over cooked and dry. I gave it 4 stars because I felt the pairing of the shaved veggies was a little off with the fish but the fish made up for it. They even offer virgin cocktails for the pregnant ladies :) and the toffee pudding (I think it was???) is INCREDIBLE!
We heard that brunch on Sunday's is the way to go so we will be heading back there soon

Always a great meal and great service. Brunch is a fun time to go and sit on porch and if you get a salad, a steak or fresh fish you will not be disappointed. Drinks are always on point and made with quality spirits. Servers have always been very knowledgable. Cappy's is for sure a staple on Broadway for a delicious place to eat with a wide variety of food. Quick shout out for the bread and flavored butter served before the meal as well.

My partner and I were extremely impressed with the dining experience we had this evening! I would absolutely recommended. We were greeted at the door with friendly accommodating staff. Our server Katie was very bright, warm and attentive. She had a lovely attitude and was a delight to be around. We both ordered the special which was amazing! 10/10! We had beautifully cooked quail, lamb chops, and roasted potatoes with caramelized onions, feta cheese, chili jam and fried capers. The appetizer and chocolate cake were also amazing. You can tell they make their butter, breads and desserts in house

This is a very popular restaurant that has been there for a long time. It is kind of an eclectic hodgepodge of dining rooms, balcony and patio. Parking is also a hodgepodge with patches to park in-front, along the side and out in back.
Even their neon signage is eclectic, something that a third grader would do with a new box of crayons.
The local artists covering the walls with their paintings- for- sale only adds to the funkiness.

First time in. My server Chris was very knowledgeable. His service was impeccable. I told him to order for me.
Three lovely courses. Started
with Shrimp nachos over house made chips. Followed with a Denver filet over asparagus mushrooms and tomatoes. Dessert was a sticky toffee cake with ice cream. All his suggestions!
One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Will be back and highly recommend

Our last night in San Antonio, and after much research we narrowed our choices to two and then one!
Made it to Cappy's and parked on Broadway and then found out they had great parking in the rear!
It's nested off the road, a bit odd, but when you get inside, it's very nice.
We should have made a reservation, but, we were lucky!
Sat us down and our waiter Dave greeted us and we discussed items we saw on the menu! We narrowed it down to three items and then to two.
He talked us into a specially batter fried oysters on a toasted brioche bread with a light cheese and a home made

Called to place an order to be picked up. I was told they are only doing brunch menu now. I asked when the lunch menu would start. I was told it is only brunch menu on the weekends. Ok. That would be great to know ahead of time... Like somewhere on the website..

We were Visiting SeaWorld and on a Hunt for a nice restaurant to celebrate My Mother In Laws Birthday but was also Kid friendly in some way
Cappy's service was superb they were able to accommodate something for the kids My oldest had spaghetti and almost ate the whole bowl which is not her when we eat out

Had a nice brunch with friends. The patio space is beautiful. Really the whole restaurant has a nice aesthetic.
For Saturday brunch I ordered the Raspberry Sparkler and Benedict: SARDOU, spinach, artichoke, and brie. The sides that came with the Benedict were seasonal fruit and hash browns.
The raspberry sparkler is very tasty mimosa, really like the blend and flavor. You must order by glass.
The Benedict SARDOU was great. Ordering Benedicts is my new go-to for brunch and this one hit the spot. It's a great option on the menu for vegetarians.

Had reservations for about a week, when we arrived the party of 6 was forced to sit on a 4 top. It was really cramped and when I asked if we could move they stated that this was our only choice. We were by the phones listening to the staff, blocking the kitchen entrance and also had no room against a wall.
Now to the food, I asked for a medium rare burger and somehow got a medium rare that was burnt on the outside. The burnt pieces completely drowned out the burgers flavor.
The price is not worth what I received
