Don’t rent from here unless you want to live in an apartment where the water is off every other day and you want to go days without hot water. Management will never inform you of what’s going on until a bunch of people complain. Fire pit, fireplace, and grills not the courtyard are never in working condition, so you basically get no amenities.

If you're looking for a great and affordable place to live downtown, Cameron Court is hard to beat. This place is well cared for and (from what I understand) is still owned by the same family that built it in the 1930's. Julie and Isabella in the office are wonderful to work with, very easy-going, and actually remember who you are when you see them. I've had two maintenance requests since I've lived here, and they were both completed the next day with no hassle (one of them was submitted at 10pm and it was completed before 10am the next day). The amenities are fantastic for the price and the grounds are beautiful: they're wonderfully maintained. Parking is a hassle but for everything else you get it's worth it. The windows and antique touches in each unit give it so much character. Isabella in the main office is always patient and helpful- so glad it's my new home.

I've lived here for about 9 months now and I have loved it! The apartments are perfectly located and really charming inside. The huge windows give great natural light and I love the unique touches in each apartment (lots of hooks, shelves, etc). The apartments and property has been well cared for and it shows!

My girlfriend and I found Cameron Court apartments by driving past them. When we arrived and walked around the complex, we knew it was the apartment for us. It's close to downtown but has old historical charm. The neighborhood is vibrant but quiet. The management was so helpful and nice. They walked us through the whole process and got ours within a day.

The last (almost) 6 years have been so wonderful living at Cameron Court Apartments. My husband and I originally decided to live here because we felt like it was the best cost per space for its proximity to downtown compared to the other cookie cutter apartments built in the area. It's also very dog friendly, with low fees compared to others as… well. These 1930's apartments also have all the older charm you want (hardwood floors, mature trees, massive windows) but continue to add modern finishes and conveniences. I live in the Shelton Apartments at Cameron Court and LOVE IT. I have 2 walk in closets, a super functional layout and a HUGE window to the courtyard with a sill that is big enough for my 60 lb dog to stand in and watch the neighbors and squirrels. The windows in every room (yes, even the bathroom) give natural light throughout the apartment and provide nice breezes on temperate spring days.

I've lived at Cameron Court for just under a year and I couldn't be happier that I moved here. I love that the apartment is charming and vintage with the hardwood floors and gorgeous window overlooking a well maintained green courtyard. I feel safe and know my neighbors and the location seriously can't be beat. I also love how thoughtful and intentional management is with creating a community by planning special events. Stumbled upon this complex serendipitously, and I was thrilled to discover an open apartment in my price range and move-in timeframe. I love the vintage vibe, the huge windows and relative quiet for being less than a mile from downtown. 1930's charm and character with updated amenities. Nice hardwood floors and a large kitchen with granite countertops and modern appliances. And you won't find a residential address in Downtown Raleigh with a great outdoor space like Cameron Court. The courtyard is tranquil and has a great fireplace, pit, and outdoor grill and cooking area. Some apartments have great views of the Raleigh skyline (like mine).

My boyfriend and I moved to Shelton Apartments almost 4 years ago and have absolutely loved the experience of living downtown without killing our bank account. The nearby amenities like the Morgan St. Pharmacy, Irregardless, and Trophy Brewing are so convenient! We also love the privacy of the courtyard so you can be in downtown Raleigh while still having some peace and quiet.

Excellent location, especially for the price. Conveniently located near downtown and NC State campus. AND, it’s right across from Trophy so it makes easy plans for dinner and drinks with your roommate, neighbor, or friends.
Also, the staff is amazing and very responsive to tents to requests as well as providing sufficient notice for complex-wide issues and updates.
