Mark is an AFAA certified personal trainer, small group class instructor, and owner of Amherst Fitness. He has a degree in Business Management and has been training for over 10 years now. He is dedicated to helping his clients reach their individual goals. He enjoys being outdoors, hiking, running, cycling, tennis, golf, as well as weight training and circuit training.
It is our mission to help you achieve your goals! Each 1-on-1 personal training session is 60 minutes long. Your trainer will be with you on your fitness journey every step of the way, both in and outside of the gym. At Amherst Fitness we strongly believe in building the interpersonal relationship necessary to achieve results.

I worked out with Mark twice a week for years. I found him to be passionate and knowledgeable about personal training and fitness. I credit him for keeping me fit and strong! He had an amazing ability to customize workouts so that I was never bored. If you want to meet specific fitness goals (or beyond!), Mark will answer your questions, address your worries, and challenge you in a helpful way.

I trained 2X/week for around 4 months with Mark and I got better results and strength compared to when I had a personal trainer once a week then worked out almost daily by myself for a year at another company. I highly recommend, it was a great experience

Mark and the staff at Amherst fitness are amazing. I've been training with Mark for two years now and lost 21 lbs. I've never felt better. The staff is very knowledgeable on diet as well as weight training. Can't say enough!!

Great place!! Whether you choose a one on one, a boot camp class (hard work but a lot of fun) or yoga. The trainers are knowledgeable and will modify any work out to your limitations. You won’t go wrong. Once you start going you won’t want to stop … Trust me I’ve been going for over 4 yrs.

Amherst Fitness transformed my life. I could never get motivated until I started training here. Your personal trainers will listen to you, come up with a plan that works for you, and help you get better and better with each meeting. They focus on you during your entire session. No peer pressure. No drill sergeants yelling at you. Just real partners standing ready to help. I also love that you don’t have to do much thinking while you are there: They tell you what to do and how to do it. My experience with Amherst Fitness has been highly positive. Mark has done more for me then any trainer/coach has done for me in the past. The trainers here have various backgrounds, but each of them is friendly, unintimidating, and supportive. The key difference between Amherst Fitness and other gyms is personalization and customization. The trainers here are equally invested in you reaching your goals; which is achieved through a whole-body approach (mind, body, nutrition) to help guide you toward a healthy lifestyle.

I learned about Peddar Fitness when they expanded their studio. They were offering free group classes in early March and special deals on personal training packages. I tried out the specially designed H.I.I.T. classes and was very impressed. The trainers are all excellent and professional. A special shout out to Joe Gallagher and Erika Sawyer who got me started in the classes, and Jeff Peddar who set me up with nutrition advice and a daily workout plan for when I have to travel.
