Services
I will provide an effective, personalized, and "focused-on-you" environment where you receive the individualized attention and customized training plan you need to successfully reach your goals. I am here to support you in creating a fitness routine in a fun environment that will keep you consistent.
At Training Longevity, my fitness training program is much more than just an exercise program. The key principles used in the functional fitness training services will not only add years to your life but enhance the quality of those years. Jay holds a Bachelors Degree in Education from University of Arkansas and a Masters Degree in Recreation from George Williams College.
His analysis revealed that the problem was with the muscles, not the joints - some were weak, some were too tight, some were strong, but unbalanced. It was a welcome revelation. The training that we did pushed me without risking injuries. Many members of our 55 and older group had some physical challenges due to prior injuries or surgery and Jay was excellent with adapting the program to keep the exercises challenging yet safe.
But that doesn't mean we shouldn't keep a healthy weight through exercise and eating right. Our metabolisms slow down as we get older. But obesity isn't caused by reaching a certain age, and it's not inevitable. Maintaining a healthy weight is important for preventing a range of health problems later in life, from high blood pressure to Type 2 diabetes and more.

Jay is amazing!!! With great knowledge, skill, compassion, and humor, he makes every workout interesting and effective.
I have had several physical challenges over the few years I have worked with Jay and he is always able to modify movements to provide a safe exercise that allows for improving mobility and healing.
He is also a great educator- I learn something new about the “how’s and whys” of exercise and movement in each session.
Kudos, also, to the training facility. It is super clean, inviting, and well equipped.

Jay is the best trainer I have ever worked with! I have been with Jay for over a year now. His expertise and guidance has provided me with amazing results! I’ve learned so much about form, and how different muscles connect and work. His sessions are always different, and I learn something new every time. I am definitely healthier and stronger. Highly recommend!

Thanks to my training (mostly small-group) with , I do things differently every single day. There have been times I've come in from yard work and said to my husband "if Jay hadn't taught me about functional movement, I would have just really hurt myself." I've realized I was using what he taught me while putting away groceries (and… let's be honest - while carrying in ALL the bags at once), while sitting at my desk, and even while just walking. I didn't just get into better shape and get stronger (though that happened too) - I learned how to move for maximum benefit and minimum risk, how

Jay is very patient and supportive. He’s responsive and able to “dumb it down” for this old learning disabled man. He’s totally there for me even after sessions, sending pictures and advice. This may turn out to be the best money I’ve ever invested.

I’m sharing a review of Jay McWilliams because I think he can offer huge benefits to those who feel they are getting a little “senior”; perhaps having weakness and balance issues; or have been averse to or away from exercise since there younger days. I have seen many Physical Therapists and “trainers” for myself and working with others. To be blunt, most were inconsistent and terribly oblivious to how weak an “older” or “unmaintained” body can become. Jay is exactly the opposite. He is very consistent, very methodical, extremely observant, extremely well versed in how the body

I have been working out with Jay for a few years and always look forward to my sessions with him. Jay is very knowledgeable, and has been able to design work outs to address my various aches/injuries in a way that makes me feel confident. My husband and I do semi-private sessions with Jay, and Jay is able to tailor the session to meet both of our… disparate needs in a way that feels productive for both of us. I like that Jay is mindful to incorporate stretching at the beginning and end of each session, which in my/my husband's case, is the key to improvement right now as we work on increased

Jay is an amazing trainer. He listens to your needs and designs a plan that is achievable.
Also I suffered shoulder pain and stiffness in the beginning of our training and he was able to work that into my plan. I was able to strengthen my shoulder and the pain went away. Thank you Jay!

Jay is an amazing trainer. He assesses each client’s abilities and utilizes his knowledge and skill as a personal trainer to establish realistic goals for improving physical performance. He is mindful of any physical issues a client may have and makes modifications to make each workout safe and effective. Training with Jay was transformational in so many ways. He helped me work on fitness, strength, and mobility but also helped me rediscover my athletic self at a time when I was preparing for a hip replacement and feeling very discouraged. I always left our sessions sweaty and exhilarated. He knows how to help you push hard but listen to your body,… and he always kept our workouts fresh and new! Jay is flexible, attentive, and compassionate. He definitely tailors each workout to your particular needs and is able to help you set short and long term goals. Low key but fully engaged, Jay is
