Ideally located in Avalon a short walk from the shops, restaurants and beach yet offering end of road privacy and peace and boasting some of the largest hotel rooms on the island, many with full kitchens. Opened in 1980, the VanSickle family had a vision for an Island Inn that would provide an escape from the hustle and bustle of life on the mainland.
35 years and 350,000 guests later this vision has been realized over and over again. You will arrive as a guest, leave as a friend and be welcomed back like one of the family! We offer a variety of packages to save you time and money and make the process of planning your perfect trip to Catalina Island a breeze.

Had a lovely weekend stay for a dive trip. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They picked up our gear at Casino Point so we didn't have to drag it up a short but steep hill. Location is perfect. Close to town and diving. Rooms are dated and worn, but ours was clean and comfortable. Most rooms have a bay view terrace.

5 stars is on a "bang for the buck" basis. This place is obviously not the Four Seasons. Nor is it priced as such. If you want fancy, schmancy you should stay at the Atwater. If you want friendly desk staff, comfortable beds, clean linens, clean restrooms, a piping hot and super clean community hottub, a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and some added touches like a minifridge, a coffeemaker and microwave, all at AN AFFORDABLE PRICE, then Seaport Village fits the bill. Yeah, the carpet was a bit on the old side. But on the same token, I did not feel guilty if some sand got carried in

I had an amazing stay at the Seaport Village Inn. My mom, daughter and I got into Catalina Island at 10:45 and the Seaport Village Inn van was waiting for us and they let us check in at 11:30. The staff was so welcoming and accommodating. They brought our luggage up to our room and the manager Raul actually found a room for my daughter to nap in after we had checked out the last day. They went above and beyond to make you feel at home and comfortable. The town was a short walk from the hotel, the hotel had a nice view of the ocean, town and mountains, and the rooms had a beachy feel. The only

I think most of the negative reviews so far should be disqualified based on obnoxiousness. Those people should try staying in some of the more "fun" hotels in downtown Oakland or in East LA. An entire generation of spoiled, entitled people who write poorly and express their silly opinions with bad grammar and no tact.
The Seaport Village Inn is exactly what you would expect it to be for the rate, except that you'll be greeted by smiles and helpful people at every turn - which is entirely unexpected at this rate. I may not have ever seen a nicer group of employees. Those few interactions

Moist carpet likely full of mildew and mold effected my sons nose so bad he had to sleep at our friends rental house. Gross to walk on
barefoot.
Chunks of the carpet were missing.
Door handle is not properly installed.
Door locks on sliding door do not work.
Rust and mildew on the ceiling over shower. Gross!!
Multiple broken light fixtures, one without the glass over the lightbulb.
Phone does not work so not possible to call the front desk.
Both vending machines are broken.
Front desk closes at 7pm so if you need towels after 7 than you are out of luck.
They did not make up our room.

Seaport village inn has to be the most disgusting place I have ever stayed in. The only good thing is the location and view. Places are walking distance. Other than that this place hasn't been cleaned since the late 80s. As soon as I opened the door the smell of mold hit me. I was excited to know that there was a kitchen but I immediately felt discouraged on using it. I had to clean the floor and kitchen myself just to be sure. The carpet had multiple tears, there were cockroaches in the rusted outdated refrigerator, and stains on the walls. Another thing I'd like to mention is the piles

Great place to stay on the island for a short trip. if your boat docks early or comes later than your check in/out time, they offer to watch your bags for you. the rooms were fairly clean we did find some personal belongings left in our room from the party before so i'm not sure how thoroughly it is cleaned. but it does have A/C and great television channels. the wifi is pretty bad, but it is bad on the whole island. it is a steep climb to get there but it is located very close to all of avalon. staff is also very nice and accommodating. great place to stay would definitely come back to this

Ok there is much to unpack here! The staff here are very friendly and helpful. They are willing to take you to the docks and back no problem. They also are willing to keep your bags even after you have checked out of the hotel. The only downside is that the interior is a little old fashioned in terms of appliances and furniture. But, everything worked just fine, so not much to complain about there. If you want to same a few dollars then I would book here again, just because of the good service.

This place is not fancy. I think it is literally the cheapest place I could find, and one of the few still available when I booked 2 weeks before my stay. It looks run-down and shoddy from the outside, and sort of inside too. Looks like it got a nice update in the late 1950s and nothing since.
BUT, it was very clean, smelled, fine, and the staff was great. I didn't get that gross feeling like the bedding was never washed. Very impressed despite the bad first impression.
Location is killer- hard to beat. Room had a view.
Also the bath tub was huge in my room.

This place is a dump! Do not stay here. The only redeeming quality about this place was that they picked us up and dropped us off at the dock. They also let us keep our luggage there after we checked out and we were able to explore the island. But the buildings are dilapidated and should be torn down.

This is not the Ritz! Don't post on this page if you are complaining about not getting your luxury amenities. This is a super fantastic funky Inn that has some awesome views of Avalon and a down to earth staff that is always willing to help in any way they can. Super close to the town, just a brief walk up a small hill. I was able to call ahead and request shuttle service from the ferry dock. Super convenient. Hotel is nice, open grass space for kiddos to run around. Many rooms to choose from depending on your needs. We got one with a private bedroom so are kids can sleep out in the main room

Called the front desk a week before arriving and was put on hold for 10+ minutes and they forgot to mute me and I could hear swearing and them laughing. It was very unprofessional. I called back and asked if I could cancel and the person on the phone said that I’ll be charged a $50 cancellation fee. I’ll be contacting the BBB on this place. The staff seems very unprofessional and poorly run.

This place is pretty great if all you're looking for is a place to sleep and keep your all your belongings in. My Fiance and I decided to a last minute trip on the day that was supposed to be our wedding and we we're lucky enough to find a room still available here! I called to verify the room was still available and what packages they offered.
They said the package that was still available included boat fare, pick-up on our luggage, accommodations, and a two-hour kayak ride. Which I thought was pretty fantastic. Although I did the math and still feel like it was a tad more expensive

This was in a prime location (in my opinion) with a great view! You could tell they were doing construction but wow was it run down. Unfortunately when we got there we saw dirt prints on the wall (looked like feet/shoe prints) and they definitely have an ant problem as we noticed them throughout the hotel room. The tile in bathroom tub was coming off and had many cracked tiles. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was sticky and dirty which was not ideal either. Also the housekeeping never came? (Not sure if due to Covid?)
Again, location and view were great but everything else
