Some of our Catalina Island guest rooms are uniquely configured with balconies ranging from a traditional balcony to wrap-around style balconies that offer sweeping views of Avalon and the harbor.
Our garden rooms number 204, 205, 304, and 305 offer peaceful views of our landscaped courtyard. Each garden room is fitted with a plush king bed, 42-inch flat-screen TV, a. Each balcony room numbers 102, 103, 202, 302, and 303 includes a balcony with comfortable chairs to enjoy the partial views of the ocean.

Visitors have a range of transportation options for getting from the mainland to Catalina Island, including public ferries, helicopters, private boats and private airplanes. Helicopters and ferries depart from several ports in Southern California. Visitors will want to confirm their departure location, time, and date before travel, and allow ample time to find parking.

A lovely and full amenities boutique hotel. Enjoyed the bathtub to warm up being winter. Picked up some fragrant and eco friendly bath-bombs and soap at local shop right around the corner. Nice continental breakfast and options to order wine. Loved the package deal online that included ferry and taxi to and from. They handled the entire arrangement which was a big plus having never been to the island as well being from out of town. I would give 4.5 stars if it would let me but the bed was not super comfortable. I give kudos to the purveyor for trying with the memory foam mattress it just wasn’t

The Avalon is an excellent choice for couples traveling to the island. It's very clean with ample fresh air flowing through the property. They have a wonderful patio space where they serve the included continental breakfast and evening wine tastings. The balconies are spacious and the rooftop patio provides vast views around Avalon. The owners and staff are very helpful and willing to make you extremely satisfied with your stay.

So my entire family just finished two days with them and let me tell you, the personal touch from start to finish was impeccable. I felt like we were thier only guests (we weren't) and they were there just for us. The room was spacious and perfect. Amenities and small touches were abundant and done out of care and convince for their guests.we will be back only if they can accommodate us again!!

Great central location 1 block off the main strip. The room was spacious and had a great view of the courtyard. The staff is friendly and engaging and offered suggestions during our visit. This was our 1st mini vacay in a year and we appreciated the covid safety precautions. We loved the Friday night wine/beer happy hour. They even delivered chocolate, a card and a bottle of wine of my choice to the room for my birthday!!! How awesome is that! I definitely recommend Catalina and the Avalon Hotel!!! Can't wait to go back!

This was the perfect vacation spot. It is close to everything you need to explore Avalon. My boyfriend and I walked to every restaurant and every activity. We travel quite frequently and this was definitely one of our favorite hotels. We had a beautiful patio with a view of the ocean from the second floor. As a guest, you also have access to the roof which has an incredible 360 view. Every single person who worked at the hotel was warm and made conversation with us. What more can you want from a hotel? The price was amazing and the entire place was spotless.
