If proper communication and transparency is important to you, don’t lease with Mckinney pointe. After trying for the last 30 days to tell them we’re NOT moving in, we got a welcome letter today about our move tomorrow. They’re also now saying that the security deposit we put down is non refundable, and we never even signed a lease! There’s no communication from office staff, and the property manager, Joanna, is rude and unprofessional. Steer clear!

In regards to the apartment complex, don't live here! Our AC was not cooling our apartment in May 2021. We had maintenance come by to fix the issue and we were told that the outside unit was low on freon and that's why it wasn't working. During the next 2 months our AC would never go below 74 degrees even when set lower. In the middle of August 2021 our AC unit went out completely. We had an astronomical electric bill that was more than $100 higher than it should have been. We contacted management and they informed us that we would have to wait till the following Monday before they would even order

I like my apartment. I've lived here since 2017. I can appreciate the quality of parking here. I dont have to worry about getting TOWED or having to pay an extra 35/40 bucks just to park. However, I wish we had a recycling option and I hate how dirty the stairs have gotten over time. I wish they would clean them.

I will have to say the office people are very friendly and helpful Joanne is an awesome apartment manager and sweet lady. The apartments are in a great location and are a nice place to live. I loved my experience here with the management team and the complex I used to live here and looking to move back.

If you are looking for a new home, don’t waste your time here. I called the leasing office to schedule a 1:30pm tour. We arrived on time and the leasing office was closed! They had a sign on the window saying “returning at 1:45pm” my husband and I didn’t think of it as a big deal so we decided to wait in our car. We walked back to the leasing office at 1:45pm and they had another sign saying “returning at 1:55pm.” We called the leasing office and we kept getting rerouted to a recording. They’re extremely unreliable and unprofessional. What a waste!

I have been living here for 3 years now.
Units are nice, roomy, parking sucks, garages are not near all units and are an extra 100. Month. Pet owners do not pick up after their animals. Property Management is not real easy to talk to/deal with. Home Office and Eva are great and helped me with resolving issue.

I believe I was one of the very first tenants when the complex was built so I believe I have seen it all. I live in a big 1 bed on the first floor. Management is always super nice to me, so never had an issue there. Rent is decent since it’s a new built so never had an issue there as well. I live in building 5, and honestly it has been a great stay. Unfortunately, THE only reason why I will be moving in June, is because I am getting married, and I don’t want my wife living face to face with a section 8. I am sure there are some great people living there but ya. McKinney pointe is a good place

We just received a new Assistant Manager and she is very rude. I think everyone she consider where you live and who you are going to be giving your rent to when you have to call this place home. This is my first time speaking with her and she didn't even introduce herself and was very rude. I asked for the Corporate office number due to Joanna (who is the Manager and is very nice and understanding) not being in the office until Monday and she put me on hold and never got back on the phone after I asked her for the number several times nicely. Hello, we came in and viewed an apartment and applied. We were promised a refund if we didn’t get approved, told them the truth throughout the entire process. They had a move in special, was promised numerous times would get a refund if not accepted. We fully disclosed and found out we were not accepted. Next to section 8 apartments, way nicer ones in mckinney, this one is definitely not worth the money. Went in after not being accepted, to get paystubs and we’re told we would not be getting a refund.

Months and have nothing but one positive experience after another. The Manager Joanna is a sweet but a firm manager. In my opinion, she is a great manager despite what others may say about her. The apartments are great and the conviniese to retail, grocery, and restaurants are second to none. Oh! almost forgot, Ms. Donna is also a very sweet lady who will make sure you are getting the best service possible.

Apartments are new but not very well built. If you get an end apartment they are cold and loud. The neighborhood is noisy, dirty and full of rude people, especially the FAT COW that lives in APT # 9202!! The view of nasty, stinking garbage DAILY (See the photos) is disgusting. There are no assigned or covered parking areas and there are even vehicles with expired registration sitting in parking spaces with no enforcement. They will nickel and dime you and rent you a garage for extra $$..., as a matter of fact, everything here is extra

The apartment itself is new and nice and I have no complaints about neighbors nor the parking. On the other hand, it is the office management (Joanna K. and her supervisor) that keeps me from ever being able to recommend McKinney Pointe as a place to stay. You're guaranteed to be over charged and/or manipulated.
In saying that, I would encourage anyone who lives/plans on living here to pay with money order, get a signed receipt and keep multiple copies of your signed [paper] contract on hand.

I actually went to go look at it myself it's a clean quiet place definitely not ghetto like you think from reading the comments. They were built in 2017 definitely not a trashy place excited about moving in this year!!!

No parking and no sticker system, but towing enforced if you park in the other complexes (two complexes sharing dumpsters and parking areas that are totally open to each other) UNDESIGNATED parking spots. If you get towed you have to drive to ghetto area of downtown Dallas to retrieve your vehicle and pay a minimum of 300 bucks. Dumpsters are always overflowing and neighbors leave trash out all day to attract pests. Other apartment complexes buildings are right across the street, not even 50 feet from ours and have fire alarms going off all hours, day and night.

I have to agree with the other people that make comments about terrible customer service. In the leasing office , the two women are extremely rude and always make you feel like you're bothering them. Apartments on the same lot as my apartment is a section 8. And child molestors are allowed to rent here. Found this all out after I move in. I love the location and the brand new apts however it means nothing when you living next to drug dealers, child molesters and have drive by shootings. Me being a single mom with three kids it would of be nice to let us know all of information. It was about

It's no secret that when it comes to apartment complexes there's tons of little things management does that can screw around with you and this place did not disappoint.
PPOSITIVES:

1. Depending on the carrier for delivery of packages, I didn't get some of my packages probably because the complex is so new. Unless my packages were delivered via USPS, I was having trouble for the first couple of months we lived here.

I called to speak with a representative in the community about a parking issue. Joanna answered the phone with a very rude tone. I understand if people are busy within the office, but this could have been handled differently . When I let Joanna know of the parking issue, she argued with me that it was not her residents. Once I said I was sure that it was, she told me that there was nothing she could do and hung up. I was thinking about looking into these apartments as my lease is up in December, but that sealed the deal right there. I wouldn't suggest going to these apartments. I simply called

There is nothing with living in the hood but when you are paying BIG $$ you should be told what is next to you! At night you have people outside drinking and smoking, then next morning beer bottles, cigarettes buds, trash everywhere, furniture, diapers, I'm so disappointed in this place. It was not letting me continue unless I clicked on the one star.
Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life in US.
I was moving from out of state and they were not ready on the day of my move in. They had my move in date on file but said they didn't know I was coming in. Anything you ask MS. X (i don't want to say her name) she answers back by saying she is new. ( working for more than 11/2 months) .
They are having a lot of issues with people leaving and not being thorough in communicating within the management.
