Reserved a room, paid in advance, for a fun weekend in Pittsburgh with my wife and daughter. We arrived, followed the instructions to get the key - there was no face-to-face interaction - but no key was in the box. Called the number provided, they said they would track it down. Nothing... called again. Nothing... After 45 minutes of waiting in the cold wind, we were told they could have someone drive the emergency key to us. This was more than 2 hours after the room was supposed to be available. We left frustrated. WE WERE NOT REIMBURSED FULLY FOR THE RESERVATION. They decided to keep $50 - no

Heads up - possible scam from management here: Heinz Lofts adds a $500 "security deposit" to your bill in addition to the $50 application fee when you apply online. The person in the office assured us that was refundable if you don't take the apartment, that it just went toward the regular security deposit you'd expect when you move into a place. But when we went to withdraw the application after finding a different place, they sent us their rental agreement where hidden in the small print is that they keep all fees when you withdraw or decline an apartment.

Current tenant... awful... Most common area spots of the building smell of Dog Urine. Amenities fall short in nearly every aspect compared to other apartments in the area at this price point. Elevator is out of service often. Have lost power in my apartment on numerous occasions. I would recommend this place to 0 people. Look elsewhere

Elevator in garage broke again: 7/30/2021
Parking lot where we were told to park when we signed our lease was not a Heinz Lofts property and is now been blocked off. Elevators and parking garage broken for two days now and these are the disgusting steps we are forced to use. This place is a joke. The good reviews are probably from staff members friends. Unless you like walking up and down tons of steps I am parking in an extremely unsafe parking garage don’t rent here

Elevator is always broke. Including today. Each set off steps between floors is a double set. Horrible for someone with an injured knee.
Elevator in garage has been broken for 6 months now
Following up with the response from management.
If you want to use another buildings elevator, you have to walk all o the way to the building. Ride the elevator up, cross a bridge and then go up 4 flights of steps to your apartment. Each floor has 2 flights of steps between them.
Also, garage elevator has not been fixed for months. Here is a pi o a video I posed on Snapchat 10 days before I left my review

The gentleman that gave the tour was very uninterested in answering questions and did not show us a vast majority of the building. Overall, it was a strange vibe on the North Shore and a very high asking price of roughly $1,700/month for a place that is topped by downtown/strip district properties with a more reasonable price point. I would not recommend touring this property and recommend looking elsewhere

I have lived at Heinz Lofts for 5 years. Love the area. I was very disappointed with the staff since they have not respond to the video of my window.
While I was away, last week, my carpets were cleaned and the windows were too.
I walked in to find my bedroom window lying in the middle of my floor!! I live on the first floor, street level!
People walk by there constantly! No concerns, not even a “wellness” check of residents or staff!
It’s been over a week.. no response from the office. Not good!!

Spare yourself the headache and rent elsewhere. The process of renting an apartment is great- but once you're a tenant, it all goes downhill quickly. The indoor garage is cramped with metal beams between every spot, creating a hazard for your car. You can pay rent anywhere from the 1st to the 5th of the month: do not pay on the first, especially if you do autopay. The utility charges will not be added yet and you will be hit by a "late charge." That is a fun surprise that you won't pick up on unless you review your itemized bill from Heinz. The office staff is not helpful in

I don't even know where to begin. Not only is it not worth the price, but I am absolutely disgusted with them and they should be ashamed of themselves.
Let me start with my biggest gripe and that is how they treated myself and the grieving family of my girlfriend. When my girlfriend died unexpectedly they turned off the keys to our apartment and refused to let myself or her grieving parents in to get photo albums, any of our belongings, or even a burial outfit for her. They should be ashamed of themselves for treating grieving parents that way and not even allowing them to get her family

It's by far the most expensive yet terrible place I have lived in Pittsburgh. There have been so many things broken in the time I've lived here such as garage doors staying open for weeks, elevators down for weeks, my AC to my apartment has been broken for almost a month with an endless stream of maintenance people in and out daily trying to figure out the problem. There is not enough parking in the garage and on and on. The staff is lovely but unfortunately that doesn't negate the fact that this place is terrible...especially being so expensive. I cannot wait till my lease is up

Never in the office & terrible customer service. I've been trying to return my keys/parking pass for months & no call backs... We moved out early because there was maintenance issue after maintenance issue with our rooftop apartment that should have been a wonderful experience. Overpriced for the fact there were so many issues... We were warned by a stranger & I wish we would have listened. So frustrating.
