One of my favorite things about living at Edge is the rapid responses to any maintenance requests and the timely address of repairs. It sure beats having a house when everything that happens has to be taken care of by you and at your expense. The staff who work in the front office and the maintenance manager are warm, responsive, and quick to address issues. They care about the residents and are always so positive. It gives me great peace of mind.

The location is the best part of this apartment complex. The staff was always helpful and friendly, but during our time here (7 months) there were 3 community managers, so not a lot of consistency. During our time, they hired a security guard. She is very friendly and seems diligent in completing her rounds.
When we first moved in, there was always trash and construction rubble outside, all around the building. This improved drastically during our time here. It is much cleaner outside.

Pros: Made good friends here.
Cons: Place looks pretty but built with very cheap material. Poor management and greedy organization. Way over priced. Hallways and amenity spaces are filthy. They reacted very poorly to the pandemic as well. They threatened and yelled at tenants in mass emails. They preached and enforced mask wearing but when you walk into the leasing office, the employees are all maskless.
Would not recommend.

To be honest, the only reason I rate this 4 stars is because many residents with dogs have no idea what it means to be a pet owner and clean up after their pets. If I could remove that sentence, it would be 5 stars. So I guess the 4 stars is for uncaring pet owners.

Construction zone. I like living here, HOWEVER, if you are thinking of moving in, make no mistake, you will be living in a dirty, loud construction zone. Loud machinery starts at 6 am every morning except Sundays. The other day, they started at 4 am for a concrete pour. This construction is scheduled for the next 18 months or so. The same company that manages the Edge is building two more apartment buildings right next door, so they could adjust the hours, but they are in compliance with PGH laws, so I doubt they will. Just get used to the noise and the dirt.

We were one of the first to move into this building and we could not wait to live here - the management has completely abandoned the building and used the pandemic as an excuse . It has become so unkept - filthy and completely unacceptable. The package room is a disaster the doors have been left open for weeks to the garage. Zero compensation for having to shut down all of our amenities. I truly believed this company would take initiative and be leaders in the strip district.

Edge 1909 is absolutely AMAZING!!! Its location gives you access to numerous Pittsburgh delicacies. I have loved living at Edge from the moment I moved in. Residents are very personable and compassionate towards one another and the leasing agents are out of this world. The maintenance staff is always very attentive and an issue is solved within a matter of hours. Cannot express how lucky I am to live in such a prospering and friendly community. 5 stars for Edge!!!

I am currently living here at the Edge and have loved it since the moment my husband and I moved in. The units are very nice, modern and new. The amenities it has to offer are fantastic - including a gym, a pool, and outdoor living spaces. The people are great as well. It’s overall been very quiet, which has been another huge bonus (no hearing neighbors, their TV’s or dogs barking). It goes without saying that the location is ideal. It’s right along the river and within walking distance to the strip. Overall, we have really enjoyed our stay here so far and would recommend it to anyone 😊

This is a great place to LIVE! We say they moved the Scottsdale Ritz Carlton to Pittsburgh's Strip district. It is like living in a Resort but within walking distance to downtown. There is lots of construction in the area which will turn our street into cozy new neighborhood with close to 1000 residents. The amenities are incredible - a 25 yard lap pool, large 1st floor lounge and an incredible 5th floor retreat with a huge heated balcony overlooking the river (we watched every Steeler game outdoors last year, even in December), a huge fitness center with all the equipment you could want

I waited a few months before writing this. I mean you can't review a place you live until you actually live there. First and foremost, the staff! I used to live in Silicon Valley and once they get your lease, they don't care. Not here. Edge 1909 staff is perhaps the best I have ever come across! I rented and signed the lease here without ever visiting the property. The staff was amazing, sending me personally shot photos and videos of my future apt. They made the process so easy and I was not even worried as moving day approached. Perhaps the best part, once I moved in, they did not

I recently moved to the Edge and couldn't be happier! The staff went above and beyond to help the moving process go so smoothly. They are very attentive and helpful for any needs that arise. The apartment complex is state of the art with beautiful view's of the city & river. Great location & neighborhood! As soon as I moved in everyone was so welcoming & friendly; it immediately felt like home! It's such a fun community to be apart of, I love how there is always social events in the complex to connect with everyone in the building. The Edge 1909 is a DREAM! ✨

I only had the pleasure of living here for 9 months, but the management at Edge 1909 is top notch. They are very responsive and accommodating. At one point the washer/dryer malfunctioned right before the holidays, but after I messaged maintenance they actually switched in a brand new one into my apartment the next day. Their #1 priority is taking care of the current residents. The moving in/out process is seamless and stress free. The gym and pool are the best of any apartment building in Pittsburgh to date. This place deserves more than 5 stars! Management is super nice, super friendly, and always responsive! Every time I had a question there was someone there to answer. Not only that, the building is gorgeous and in a perfect location! It has a beautiful pool and 2 courtyards. Coming from someone who already lives downtown by the strip, I wish this place would have been around and finished when I started looking for apartments. The prices are also super reasonable for all the space and amenities they offer! So in love with my new building!
