Update because of new McKinney Propertoes management:
Keep in mind this is August 2020 and we are still in a pandemic. 2 McKinney property associates show up at my apartment door at 11 am. 1. They were not friendly. 2. They asked if they could immediately gain access to our apartment because "they had never seen this apartment before." I declined as I was working from home and had a Zoom call. That's beside the point, you cannot just show up and ask to see a tenant's apartments without 24 hr notice. If you do it has to be an emergency and frankly it clearly was not. We are also

Visited the complex yesterday by mistake while trying to locate the Heinz Loft Leasing office. I was shown apartment 311. I was immediately overwhelmed with the strong cigarette odor upon entering 311. I was told the resident was evicted because he was smoking in the apartment. I was also shown a 1st floor apartment, which the resident just vacated.
The apartment 311 requires a deep cleaning to sanitize the entire apartment to include all surfaces and all appliances! This of course is in addition to the requirement of removing the cig odor! The windows and front door were left open upon

When I signed a lease here, I'll admit that I thought it was too good to be true. I've lived in many apartments and this is by far the best of them all. The location is unbeatable, amenities are wonderful, and the building is always clean and quiet. The outdoor space is fantastic and I've had many great nights outside by the fire meeting new people from the building and beyond. Management has been accommodating from day one. They cleared up misunderstandings about my lease without question. They seem to know all the residents and really care about the quality of the building and

Good location by the freeway and 15 minute walk to the strip district and PNC park.
Remodeled apartments in the old heinz factory with some quirks in lighting and plumbing. 1 and 2 bedroom loft type apartments where there is a door to the bedrooms but the rooms are open to the rest of the living space. Fairly quiet apt building. In suite washer/dryer. No storage space or true closets in the apt.
Every space is locked by electromagnetic security in the building. This is a safety feature of the building but often more cumbersome than its worth going thru 5 doors with handfuls of groceries trying

Still has that new car smell, except like all new things, there are teething issues.
950 North Shore is a great new place to live. Located in the old Heinz Auditorium on the North Shore, it has rich history, beautiful architecture and is in a great part of town. Being a new apartment isn't only nice for not having any previous tenants, but the amenities really make it an excellent place to live. A top notch gym with all the right equipment and a workout room with a virtual trainer (this could use some improvement as it's not currently being used at all). A 24/7 mailroom that texts you

950 North Shore is the cooler than a polar bear's toe nails. Two legit fitness centers, 24/7 automated package pick-up, and it's location are my favorite things. They even hosted a huge party for the Mayweather/McGregor boxing match last weekend. There were like 60 people and was a fun way to meet my neighbors. I'm looking forward to the next community event. I love to walk to the Pirate games and Steeler tailgates using the river trail. I also use my bicycle on the trail for exercise. I almost forgot the cool bike room that comes with the rent. Free garage parking is also
