I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at The Orchard!! The team is top notch. There was a slight hiccup during our check-in and the team went above and beyond to rectify the issue. They're professional, kind, knowledgeable.... everything you need on vacation! When you come to San Francisco, The Orchard is a MUST!

Loved the rooms and all the amenities. The little touches like soft, comfy robes, friendly staff and yummy chocolate at the front desk really enhanced our experience. Having Angelo available to drive us around town was a truly wonderful perk. We’ll definitely come back to The Orchard next time we’re in town!

Very very nice. Super welcoming staff when we arrived after 10 pm. Greeted me by name and with hot towels. Room was a good size, bigger than most in SF. Location was fine. Room was very clean, hallways the same.
Lobby and bar / restaurant are much nicer than what is shown in pictures. Prices are a little excessive for what is offered.
Really enjoyed our short stay at The Orchard and would highly recommend as well as consider again for my next day in SF.

I am so glad I chose the Orchard Hotel for my weekend away in San Francisco! I was treated like royalty here and as a woman traveling solo I deeply appreciated that. From the front desk to the valet parking service to the wait staff, everyone was very warm and at the same time, efficient and professional. The room, on the tenth floor, was very clean, quiet and secure. The location is great - easy drive to almost anywhere in SF, and walking distance to Union Square. The Powell Street cable cars were right on the corner so you can get from Market Street to Fisherman's Wharf easily. I would absolutely

Orchard Hotel and all of the staff were exceptional. They treat you like family and it's good old fashion customer service where you feel appreciated and experience an outstanding desire to exceed expectations. Also, the hotel offers around town transport from hotel in an SUV Tesla. The best part of it is the driver Angelo. He was so warm, thoughtful and caring about providing excellent service and ensuring my joy in the experience. Also, Kerry helped in resolving issues with credit card holds on my credit card side and treated me the way she would want to be treated. She went above and beyond

What a delightful hotel! We stayed at The Orchard on our first visit to San Francisco and it was a wonderful experience. All staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was lovely with a spacious bathroom and a comfy bed and pillows. We stayed on the 10th floor, so there was no issue with street noise. The hotel is a convenient walk from several amazing eateries and the cable car passes right by on the corner. We had rented a car for our 10-day stay in CA (SF, Yosemite, Mendocino) and found the parking arrangement to be reasonably-priced ($55 per day) and very convenient. We parked on the street

The Orchard Hotel gets the basics right in a excellent location for both business and leisure travelers. The rooms are dead silent with good sound insulation in the walls and a quiet HVAC system. The hotel is maintained to a very high standard. The location is excellent being close to Union Square, downtown and the Powell Street cable car for trips to Fisherman's Wharf. The one caveat is that the fitness room in the hotel is small, but passes to a nearby gym are offered for a small charge.

This hotel seems to be the standard for boutique hotels in San Francisco. It has a small and quaint lobby, a decently reviewed restaurant, and is right in the middle of the city.
The experience I had here was actually quite good. Check-in was fairly simple and the bell staff were quite nice. The room was pretty and it overlooks the street. They seem to have double pane windows so the noise isn't too overwhelming, despite being right on the boulevard.
The rooms were nice, this definitely was a tear above your standard Marriott or Hilton Garden Inn. They also offered nice amenities. Hot towels

I called the hotel this morning to ask a few questions before I booked online. I was assisted by Erick who was helpful, and helped me book my room with a better rate than any I found online. I asked him if I could pay for my room upfront, and he assisted with that as well!!! I am looking forward to my stay in February as this will be my first time ever staying in San Francisco over night. It's strange to say that because I only live an hour away. Cheers Erick!!! Thanks for the help!!!

This hotel was wonderful! The reception was fantastic. Everyone cooing over my kiddos was an ego boost. The upgrade to a suite went by without a hitch. The room was clean and interesting. I was slightly disappointed that there was a sofa and not a pullout in the suite and it was rather uncomfortable for the kiddo because it was a faux leather material, but he's 4 so he could sleep on a rock with little issue.
The location was fantastic! We were only at the hotel for a night for business but I did go for a quick walk through Union Square that was quite beautiful.
I did have a major reaction

I have to say, I hate traveling to the city! all the one-way streets, closed lanes, honking cars, and don't get me started on the double-parked Uber drivers!!!
Last weekend was my girlfriend's birthday, and she planned this elaborate trip to the city. Hotel, fine dining, a show at the Museum, breakfast, and day on the pier. (I know, that's my job, but I took her 2 weeks ago to Disneyland with a couple of her friends for a no kids Adult trip. Man, what a blast! But i digress....) She booked a standard room using points on her Credit Card so immediately expected to get the treatment

Its so hard to know what a good hotel is in San Francisco- It seems they all have either 5 or 0 stars - nothing seems consistent. After searching online for days and then calling a few I was just as lost as when I started. When I called the Orchard I was taken aback at how warm and caring the person who answered the phone - Erick Hernandez seemed to be. I told him I was getting a hotel for my parents and that neither my parents or myself were familiar with the city. He explained that they have two hotels - suggested the Orchard as opposed to the garden one based on what I was asking and everything

The location was great and centrally located. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The room was clean, and the facility overall seemed very clean and well maintained. The bathroom in the room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. I enjoyed my stay very much and would gladly stay there again.

Found this hotel on hotels.com and the photos made it look promising, but it wasn't really that great when we got there and settled in. The view wasn't good from our room (facing other rooms with little space or sunlight), the room didn't have a separate shower from the bathtub as pictured on hotels.com, and the carpet looked pretty dirty by the door. Bed wasn't the most comfortable for the price. There wasn't a box spring-- just a mattress on a wooden frame.
I had to unplug the fridge as we were exhausted going to sleep because it was making an awful noise that sounded

San Francisco is a difficult city for picking a hotel. You want it to be comfortable, in a great location, and not too expensive. I've stayed at The Orchard Hotel several times for business trips and this place fits the description. By SF standards, the rooms are very spacious. They have a car service you can use once a day within a certain radius. They always have delicious chocolate candies for their guest. And the room is very comfortable (and it bears repeating, quite spacious for SF).
If you're traveling to SF, you should consider staying here to see for yourself!

Other than the staff, it has been a very nice experience. Great location, spacious room, nicely decorated. We've encountered two concierges and they have been polite and helpful, but the front desk desk doesn't acknowledge you. I hate to use the word "snobby," but that is how they come off. Definitely could be a little friendlier and helpful. Overall though, nice hotel!
