If I could rate this apartment complex a zero I would! They charged me almost $2,000.00 in fees for my sister's emotional support animal while she was staying with me from out of state for a few weeks to help me move at the end of my lease. I submitted proof of paperwork (proof of a mental disability, the apartments request for accommodations, and a doctor's letter prescribing an ESA). I also explained that my sister was staying temporarily to help me move and even asked about adding her for a short time to the lease with no response. I refused to pay the unwarranted fees because I had already

The apartments aren’t bad but dear god the parking lot. Dear god... the parking lot. I’m honestly surprised that the residents don’t charge the management for ball joints or alignments that were casualties of the potholes in the parking lot.
If you live here you should invest in a Hummer to get your through and to your place.

The office manager is amazing! Super sweet! The team really cares. Great neighbors. Gym is okay, nice pool and has a play area for kids. Maintenance person has changed recently but both the previous and current one have been super helpful. Pretty quiet for the most part but obviously you're in aparrments so you have the usual noise. I have seen reviews saying they had so much issues and I've never had any. I was able to get copies of everything prior to moving out. I do know that it is under new management as well. I loved living there and I was there for 2 years. Also, I 100% believe that some

The water has been out every two weeks for two years straight in my building.
The box that allows you to let people in the building from your apartment has been broken for two years, and I have to go and pick up all of my packages at gas stations or post offices, because the building buzzer does not work.
They refuse to use pet friendly salt during the winter for the sidewalks. My dog has burns on her paws every-time we go on a walk in the winter.

This place is attempting to play bait and switch with apartments. The ‘available’ unit isn’t ready to be looked at until you sign the lease and show up for move in. It ‘might’ be ready the day prior, but they’ll hassle you about signing the lease before you see it. At most, you’ll be shown photos of ‘similar’ apartments.
My impression is that if you put a deposit down to try to secure a rental, they think you’re desperate and won’t back out of renting with them. You will be treated as such, to the point of being laughed at if you mention that no other apartment complex will

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU RENT HERE & AVOID THE MISTAKES I MADE!!! I strongly encourage not to rent here, but if you have no other choice, read this!
First off, I could write a book about my bad experiences in the 1 year & 5 months I lived at this complex. I have never experienced anything like this place in my life, very money hungry, terrible staff, & poorly maintained. My first mistake was not reading all these reviews or doing any kind of research on the Citadel Village Apartments, we were new to Colorado Springs and were desperate and excited to find an affordable place with enough room

Only giving 1 star because it forces me to. This is the most pathetically run complex I have ever been a part of. They will cheat you out of money and not bat an eye. Management is worthless, no help at all and will refuse to talk with you. When she finally does respond, you can bet on it being sarcastic and rude.
If you pay rent on time every month, it doesn't matter, being a good tenant means absolutely nothing.
While receiving "helpful" advice on how you should save water posted to your door such as "shower less often and shorter" or "flush less" your water bill will double in the summer due

Money driven complex. Flooded parking spots with the slightest rain. Literally about a foot and a half of water in our only designated parking spots. Will run sprinklers during the heavy rain season then upcharge your water bill with no notice. Mine went from $58 to $110 in one month. Stated our rent would go up 100 dollars if we signed another lease then when we went month to month to try to leave they raised it 200. They don't care about people. They just want to make as much money off you as possible. Teams up with a tow company and will tow vehicles that belong to residents in their assigned
