The thing that aggravates me the most about this place is that their dryers and washing machines are always occupied people just leave their stuff in here literally 2 hours later and their stuff is still in here I can’t get my laundry done because of irresponsible tents and when there is a machine available it either breaks down or it dosnt dry!! Half of their machines are not even in service regardless!! Also what sucks more is that they always cut the water off and don’t even bother to tell u they will cut the water off

They shut the water off at least five times a month for 3+ hours at a time. Then they lie about how long it will take (it usually takes double the amount of time they say it will). The floor is literal WALLPAPER that bubbles up and rips which they refuse to fix. There is black mold in the bathroom. The blinds are literally so ratchet, they fall out all the time, don't cover the window, and are raggedly cut at the bottom which looks awful. It took the maintenance man coming 5 times before they got real air conditioning people to fix my AC. Half of the gym equipment is broken and they keep it

The worst place I’ve lived. The leasing office staff were friendly and it’s not their fault that the place is as bad as it is but you do not want to live here. Black mold, slow maintenance if things go get fixed, the whole place smells like feces from the dog park, the floors are cheap vinyl with concrete underneath, so many layers of paint on the walls and tub that it peels. I could go on but just don’t live here especially not that they’re raising prices.

Not too bad of a place to live. I think your experience may vary. There is not a washer/dryer in every unit, although they do have two laundry mat on premise, it feels like their dryers do not work well at all. I've run my clothes through four cycles even halving the loads between two dryers and they still weren't dry.

We were told that we could end the lease early when we moved in. They told us $50 for each month we were not going to be there. They knew that once the college year was over that I had to move out. Come May, we were told that we had to pay the full year and there’s nothing we could do about it. Maybe next time instead of lying to a new leasing resident, the management should stand by their word. Not to mention the maintenance didn’t know what they were doing half the time.. luckily my dad was able to walk me through fixing more than half of my apartment.

Literally the worst place to live. i moved out a couple months ago so ive had some time to reflect. first of all, way too highly priced for what you get. $1,100 for rusty gym equipment, roach infested units, and mold growing everywhere you look. after about 2 months of moving in, we had an infestation of roaches. i mean hundreds of bugs. another thing, the maintenance team is highly unprofessional. they came to replace my ac one day (without noticing me of the exact day btw, just a range of days or else i would’ve planned to be out of the house) and at 8am, the maintenance team was IN my apartment

Worst place to live. Honestly disgusting. Bugs everywhere coming through the walls. All my neighbors had the same problems with the creepy crawlies. There was a big problem with neighbors breaking into cars and steal cars license plates. Was reported to the office by tons of people with eye witnesses watching them do it and they did nothing. Not to mention office scamming people out of deposits. It's cheap and for good reasons. Wish I could give zero stars.

The bathtub is great. Job is awesome. But we would like more communication from the association. For future jobs or other customers. Some told us we had to wait 48 hours, another one 24 hours. We did not even know that we could open the windows. The only thing I am asking is more communication. This would help a lot. Anyway, thanks a lot for your service.

It’s not the WORST place to live. The area is nice. All essentials are close by in the area, they have a pool, tennis court, basketball court, free parking, cable, internet, etc BUT when it comes to roaches; it does have that. I don’t know how many times I’ve asked for an exterminator and one never came. The first day I moved in I got an apartment infested with roaches and they had to move me to another apartment. Lucky that one didn’t have as MANY as the first one but it had some. I cleaned everyday to avoid them. Yet whenever I left for days. I always came home to roaches. I can’t count

Beautiful outdoor place that reminds me of a campground with the lights and cute staircases and flowers and pools and volleyball nets and tennis courts. Love the huge 2 bedroom space with the wide windows lighting and beautiful space and dark floors. Wonderful place to live in near ucf as a student.

First visit I will review The Place at Alafaya in comparison to UCF student housing. My UCF student was living in UCF housing at Union West downtown campus and paying a lot of money to share an apartment with 4 other people. My UCF student moved into The Place at Alafaya on 7/16/2021, and my next review will be her tour, lease, move-in. The UCF Union West apartment came with a bathroom and private bedroom which was so tiny. Each student had to provide their own small fridge which fit under their bed. The shared kitchen consisted of a sink, microwave and a few cabinets no oven, well, actually the

Lived here for a year, and it was the worst place i have ever stayed. cockroaches galore, a million issues with the apartments- every problem is painted over and ignored. the staff are completely uninterested in helping you. i had to call MULTIPLE times and argue with multiple people to get maintenance to my apartment because it was FLOODING from the upstairs unit. do NOT live here, seriously! stay away!

The personal are really nice. So far my experience has been pretty positive. It is an old complex, but the maintenance crew is always eager and prompt to respond to issues that arise with that.

We have been here now going on 3 years, and really like the apartment. Management is very nice, get things done right away and always available to talk to. Trish is the best! The place isn't perfect, as is older, but the location is great for students, free Wifi, cable and transportation, AND pretty quiet.
They throw nice events every few months for prizes, free food, and young and old are all warmly welcomed. The community is not only for students but families as well and well lit and safe. They used to have a car wash area, but removed that, which I really miss and wish would bring back

I've been waiting to write this since my 2nd month in
I moved into the Place of Alafaya, primarily it was one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest place to live on Alafaya. Being a UCF student, living across the street from Campus, with shuttle accessibility is as great as it gets. But cheap does come with a price, I had been previously warned by my friends who had lived there before me, to not do it. I never took their advice because I thought they were exaggerating, and

Stay as far away from THE PLACE as you possibly can!!
I've been living here for about 18 months now and honestly I have never had any more trouble with any other neighborhood than I've had at this place, ill start off by saying that the only good thing about it is the maintenance team and a few members of the office, but that's about where the good things end. I was promised to be able to move in on February of 2018, but due to "unexpected circumstances" I was only able to move in at the end of march of 2018. The apartment was new and looked good but at a closer look you

So I haven't moved in yet however this kind man working in the office Devin has helped myself and my co-signer to apply to the place and he was amazing. Very attentive to all my emails calls and texts. As well as being super helpful with all my questions and concerns. Can't say much about the apartment living but so far the process of apply was amazing.

Awful apartment. Black mold + roaches + poor upkeep of apartments.

Positives: Very cheap ($1200 for 2bed1bath 850sqft) + Very close to campus + shuttle to UCF every 5-15 minutes

The price and proximity to UCF makes this apartment ideal, but that's it. The actual units are filthy, infested with roaches and spiders, and have so much water damage in the walls and ceilings that black mold is growing rampant. Front office and maintenance staff are all very nice but ultimately the complex does not actually repair anything properly. Unit showed to me during tour vs actual unit given to be were

I lived at the Place at Alafaya now for two years because I was a student at UCF. I must say it was a terrible experience. When we first moved in they asked us to write down a list of things that were wrong and bring it back to them and maintenance will come on in and fix it up for you guys. Never happened still to this day none of those "small" things are fixed. As time went on we had a little bit of water come out of light fixture in our kitchen. Maintenance came out and saw the lady above us her water heater wasn't working correctly. So they "fixed" it and that was that

If you want literally just a roof over your head and don't care that it's a dump or the office is full of absolute morons then live here. I lived here for 2 years because I was in college, and it was the cheapest that close to campus. During the time I lived here it underwent different management twice. The latest management here are absolute morons and contradict what each other says, you ask one person in the office about something and the next day ask another and you will hear two different answers. We had to threat getting an attorney involved in order to deal with the miscommunication
