Rental property can be a winner or a costly loser in your portfolio unless you know the rules. To anyone who has lived in the Triangle area for at least ten years, it is clear that things have changed dramatically during that time period. Due to attractions that include world-class museums and abundant outdoor activities, as well as an affordable cost of living, the local population has boomed.
From home sales, purchasing, investments, apartment rentals, and property management, our full line of services provides our clients with every resource needed for their residential real estate management journey. We're well-versed in property management for single-family homes and apartment communities (large and small multifamily properties), taking extra work and extra stress off of your plate.

Edit 2022: Trademark residential has lied below and said I am not associated with the company. I lived in a rental house in Raleigh north carolina. The house was sold to trademark residential. They then evicted myself and dozens of other people, and tore down the homes in order to build more expensive ones. One of the people evicted, who lived in the same duplex as me, died of a heart attack a week after being evicted. Trademark Residential are filthy landlords and gentrifiers. People and companies like this are what is wrong with the world today

Positive: Professionalism
Michelle Clark, the property manager at 450 Hay Street Fayetteville, NC is by far the most involved, active, and professional property manager I've ever had the pleasure of having supervise any apartment I've ever lived in. I highly recommend the facility due to the support from Michelle and her team alone.

I had an appointment to view a home that was for rent. I arrived at the correct time but no one was there. I attempted to text and call and no one answered the phone. I waited 45 minutes and no one showed up. Very unprofessional.
Update: Actually, I was not 10 days early. The email I received from Trademark tonight at 8:15 pm apologized for the "glitch in the system" that allowed me to sign up for a tour before the house was ready to be viewed. I was not contacted to reschedule until after I left my initial post on Google.
But I do thank you for reaching out, explaining about the glitch, and

My partner and I rented a home under trademark for 1 year and I'm so glad the private owner of the home switched companies. I experienced so many frustrating issues with Trademark that I have to believe it was not just our property manager - it must run deep in the company. Things you need to be aware of if you rent from this company: Rent was frequently not posted.. I had to actually remind them several months to post our rent so that we could pay it. Work orders went weeks sometimes MONTHS un-attended to. I will say that after diligently pushing the company to fix things like our HVAC system

My lease is ending August 31st and I’ve been trying to reach my property manager, Kina Roberts, for over 3 weeks now with a few questions. After about 6 phone calls and voicemails and just as many emails she got back to me with one misspelled sentence that didn’t even address everything I asked. there is a similar review below and trademarks policy is to get back within one business day, that has never been the case. She is incredibly hard to get ahold of and always very short whenever I can actually reach her.
Denise at the front desk is great though, very friendly and always quick to help

Since this company took over management at the complex I live in they have sent out many flyers with new changes they are making along with a number and email to contact with "any questions you may have." The first time I had an issue with paying rent and it took them two weeks to finally call me back. I have reached out since then with other questions to no response. I have called many times, and left several emails and voicemails.

If you want a management company that will fix things don’t move here. If you want them to respond to you expect at least a month of waiting if not more. For two months i had no heat, they felt a space heater was sufficient even though i was still charged 1700 a month for rent. They say they have granite countertops yet it’s granite tile that is chipped and porous. I had water coming in my walls and was told that it’s normal for my thermostat to leak. (That’s interesting considering that there is only electrical wires connected to it) there was water damage on nearly every wall. You could

Trademark Residential recently acquired Sterling Magnolia apartments in Charlotte and have been underwhelming at best. This is in no reflection based on the management in the office but for Senior Leadership. I have lived on this property for 8 years and have slowly watched it on the down fall with the lack of improvements and maintenance needed to maintain a complex. Since Trademark's acquisition in January I have seen hallway carpets develop with mold, and garage doors being broken for 6+ months. We have continuously heard that improvements were coming first it was March, then end of April and

This company is pushing out tenants without proper notice after buying up a property. Basically one month notice to get out and find somewhere else to live even though this is some of the little affordable housing in downtown Raleigh. This is extremely unprofessional and I would hate to do business with someone who is contributing to pushing out low-income people, especially those who have been apart of this neighborhood longer than most of these companies have been around. Don’t contribute to more gentrification, do not rent from these heartless people.
