If you like living with no A/C for 2 years then this is the place for you! My roommate and I consistently put in work orders to get our A/C fixed but it never was. Finally when someone came to “fix” the unit after weeks of waiting it was never properly done and somehow a new issue would arise every time they came. During the hottest months of the year our apartment would get up to 85° for weeks and yep you guessed it never got fixed in the course of 2 years. Not only did our A/C not work, but our stove consistently stopped working as well.
Just by far one of the worst apartments I’ve lived

Do you like having piles of others' trash in your hallway? Do you enjoy being kept awake all night because of thin walls and LOUD neighbors? Are you a fan of expensive move out fees? Do you find busting pipes, frequent water shut-offs, and broken laundry machines charming apartment features? If you answered yes to these questions, this place is for you! So listen... pros? The front desk team has some very kind people and the location is convenient. Everything else, however, is NOT worth your time and money. PLEASE do yourself a favor and find a place that doesn't make you want to pull your hair

Seriously the worst option for students to live by DU. Though it is the cheapest apartment complex near DU, the amenities and management is not worth it. I lived here for two years and the laundry machines were always broken, the pipes were always leaking, our air condition was very inconsistent and our water temperature was also very inconsistent. This list goes on. I park my car in the garage and it was broken into this past May 2021. Several others were also broken into. Though they advertise that they have security in the garage, I have only seen a security guard maybe 3-4 times the past two

This is one of the most fun and upbeat properties in Denver! The staff knows me just from when I pick up packages and it’s so nice. I’ve grown to become friends with the whole staff because they’re always checking up on me when I’m walking through the office. This is definitely my home away from home and I 10/10 recommend spending your college years here!

The floor plan of the building just doesn't make sense and it causes a lot of preventable elevator traffic. The laundry machines have also been broken for months. They don't even enough out of order signs for all the machines that are broke.

This company is extremely unscrupulous business wise. The housing managers(specifically Sydney) are trained to steal any deposit. Tenets still get charged outrageous move out fees directly to collections. I paid my move out fees over a two years ago, and the collection charge won’t be removed even though I have receipts.
Some of these reviews that are over 2 stars are by people who work in the leasing office.

This is way too over priced. It charges for laundry and I hate it. I have to pay 5 every time I do laundry which is once a week. Also they don't take out the trash. Live somewhere else that's just a little more expensive if you're on the fence boooooo

I've lived here for a few months. I have really enjoyed my experience so far. The apartments are furnished and when I first moved in I was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. The area is convenient (little coffee shops/restaurants/etc. are closeby), the staff is really friendly and good at letting us know if there is maintenance going on. There is a small park directly across the street where people walk their dogs or lay in the grass. The apt does social events occasionally and gives out little goodies for holidays/etc. The lobby area is always very clean and welcoming. I highly recommend

Worst. Place. Ever. Do not rent here! It is dirty, management fixes nothing (our air conditioner was broken for TWO months) and as other reviewers have said the trash was out in the hallways every weekend. So, so bad. There were MAGGOTS in the hallway and crawling under our door. Do yourself a favor and live somewhere else.

I co-signed my daughters lease here. They claimed an easy process to sublease. My daughter moved out in May and tried to show the place for a summer sublet. The first two weeks of showing there was no water. She had to complain several times. After the water came on and she finally found someone the management told her to email an account that never got back to her. Turns out nobody monitors that email. Needless to say she lost the sublease after a week of back and forth. Unless you're planning to stay the entire year don't lease here and don't believe what they tell you about the

If you go to University of Denver and are looking for housing DO NOT LIVE HERE. try literally anywhere else
Me and my roommates all decided to do the 4 bed and 4 bath because it came with a washer/drier. The drier was broken in august and was not fixed until Feb. There were multiple pipe bursts and multiple floors flooded more than one time. The front door was broken a majority of the time so anyone could get in even if they didn't have a fob. The people who work here are super nice which is great but truly not worth the rent. Upon moving out make sure you do a walk out with someone and keep record

The UH House apartment is like my second home. I really enjoy every single minute living here where I feel safe and warm. I love those UH staffs and managers working at the front desk. They are all friendly guys and provide the best services and try their best to make every resident happy. So, I really appreciated their daily efforts!

READ BEFORE SIGNING ANYTHING!!! UNSAFE, UNSANITARY, UNPROFESSIONAL. I have been living here for 6 months now and I cannot wait to get out of here when my lease is up. I could truly write a novel on all the awful experiences and issues I have had with the University House.

To start, I was never told upon moving in that I would be living in an ADA Accessible room, which really means that I have significantly less space than a normal apartment because there are no cabinets below the countertop to account for a wheelchair. This is apparent in the kitchen space AND the bathroom. In addition, the microwave

Let me start, as a parent of a student who lives in University House, by saying that the security in this complex is sorely lacking!!! It's no problem to walk into the complex, gate lock is broken and then I walked right into the building, no locks or safeguards. That's ridiculous and as a parent, I pay a boatload for her apartment and expect safety to be PRIORITY ONE! This must change immediately. She has never been able to have a blind put on her window since she gets no response from maintenance. That's unsafe too and doesn't give her the privacy she needs since everyone

While the front desk girl that’s normally there is fantastic, pretty much everyone else is not helpful. I spent 5 days trying to contact someone via email and voicemail with no one getting back to me until I called 3 times today. Trying to get some sentimental item back that was accidentally left behind. When last speaking I was getting frustrated and trying to get a straight answer and ended up being hung up on. I apologize for being so frustrated as I understand no one should have to deal with that, unfortunately it wasn’t until I was so harsh that I got an answer to my questions.

DON'T rent here! My daughter rented here for a year and it is a horrible place! They randomly allowed some people to move in early. Not her as they were "cleaning" her apartment! It was so dirty when we moved her in. The a/c NEVER worked during her year there, the elevators were often out of service, trash and vomit in the staircase and hallways, laundry machines never worked, and treadmills never worked. Halfway through the year, she was randomly assigned a roommate who was TOTALLY opposite the questionnaire she filled out at the beginning of the year. Garage roof constantly leaked

The worst living experience of my life. My first unit had ac that didn't work all summer despite multiple work order requests. My new unit when I moved to it was not cleaned, there was grime on everything and the floor was clearly not even vacuumed. This was after the night before having received an email that stated I wouldn't be able to move in until the next week- which would have messed up multiple family members and myself as we had taken off work and my life was in boxes. Questioning this we received a email that it was all of a sudden ready- clearly not. The situation was made

The only thing this apartment building really has going for it is location and convenience. It is extremely expensive for the quality of the building and how it is managed. They clearly put profit over their residents and it leaves almost everyone unhappy at one point. It is very poorly managed and they get away with far more than they should because it is mostly students who don't advocate for themselves. The parking garage door has been broken and left completely unlocked for over a week. The garage has also had numerous security issues with break-ins recently so this is particularly disturbing

Do not sign a lease with this business. While it looks nice, there are many issues dealing with management. Unfortunately, they hire inexperienced people. As a result, you will get incorrect information, issues will become extremely difficult to resolve. There is more competition for apartments near campus now, so search for one with an experienced management company.

This place will shamelessly rip you off - don't live here. I paid $200 for University House to find me a delegate for the last three months of my lease and they completely screwed me over. The delegate THEY found for me promised to pay but never did, racked up late fees, and even had management send me an email requesting I stop asking him about paying rent. Not sure why they thought it was okay to request that I stop contacting him as now my credit is bad and I'm in debt for the three months rent that the delegate never paid (I obviously refused this request because it was ridiculous

My son has been trying to get his "refundable" deposit back since August. The reason he did not move in was due to UH making mistakes in room assignments in the first place! We have called University House several times and each time were told they sent the request for the refund to the corporate office. I called the parent company - The Scion Group several times, and left messages at both the accounts payable office and Dir. of Operations and followed up with a letter. Phone calls are not returned and no reply to the letter. And of course, no refund.
