We had a really bad experience here. The elevators are always broken, they are doing “repairs” that take a long time to complete and are very disruptive towards those that work from home. The garage doors have been broken since we moved in and it presents a security risk, but they constantly blame the residents for not being “cautious enough and letting in strangers through the door”. Focus on fixing what you need to fix first and foremost. When we moved out they charged us for absolutely everything, including a nail hole from a picture… after already paying an outrageous rent each month

DONT LIVE HERE IF YOU DONT WANT YOUR CAR BROKEN INTO. Multiple cars get broken into each night inside the building that we pay $150/month for. The garage door has had a giant rip in it for MONTHS that anyone from the street can walk through. Even after multiple cars getting broken into EVERY NIGHT, they refuse to have a security guard on duty.

Overall, this building has suffered by being in a part of town affected by many of the problems facing downtown Denver. However, these issues have been exacerbated by inadequate management. Below are some issues I believe every future resident should be aware of:
1. There is no hot water in the building before about 7 a.m. This is a huge problem if you shower before work. As other reviews of the building mention, on-site maintenance cannot do anything about the problem.

I toured this apartment and applied for a unit. I had to pay a $10 app fee, and it was required I agree to a $200 deposit that was refundable within 48 hours. The leasing agent said I would have an answer whether I was approved within 36 hours. 3 days later, after no decision from 2020 Lawrence, I was approved and signed at another apartment complex. When 2020 Lawrence got back to me on day 4 to say I was approved, they automatically drafted $200 from my checking account and refused to refund it, even though I contacted them within minutes of the payment being drafted. If I could give this place zero starts I would. What a shame for such a beautiful place to have such a rude leasing agent! First off the guy told us that we were too early for our appointment (10 minutes early) and then later at the appointment’s time he was asking if we were in a rush. Besides, his way of talking to people is not the best. He comes across as a very fake person, with a fake smile and not helpful. We went there this morning and just because the barcode of my husband’s ID was a little faded we couldn’t see the apartment. We explained that we woke up super early and lost work

Moved into this community late March 2021. From initial contact to the move in, everything went smooth. Nate and Martina took care of everything. The building is well maintained, and my apartment has excellent views. Few issues noticed at move in were attended to in no time, and the maintenance crew get five starts as well.

Love this apartment building. My wife and I have been here for almost one year and no issues to report. Kari and her team are amazing and very professional. I love the location and design of the building. I just wished the gym was a little more equipped and updated and unfortunately we just lost our jacuzzi on the rooftop but not a necessity to enjoy a beautiful community with an incomparable rooftop area!

My name is Cesar Zamora and I live in apartment 623. I am sending you a formal complaint regarding the property 2020 Lawrence. Ms. Jamie Davis is the manager and she is harassing me as an African American tenant. I have been without a washer machine since I moved in. I've called several times every week and I'm still without a washer. I have had to… take my clothes to the laundry mat or wash them on my hands. She has accused me of smoking and I informed her that I do not smoke. I even invited her to the apartment so she can see I don't smoke. She refused and she has no evidence of the accusations

This place is awesome! I've lived here almost 2 years now and I love it! The staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating. Whenever I've needed something fixed they are very timely getting it done. Being in the Property Management industry, I've seen plenty of horrible management companies and Berkshire is NOT one of them. The issues the building… was having with Zocolo have been taken care of since Berkshire took over, new garage doors installed and changing the front door to remain locked at all times to keep the building more secure.

I love 2020! Being new to Denver, 2020 was very welcoming almost like family. Not only were they very patient with me during my decision process, but still extremely helpful, friendly, kind and considerate. I really think of them more as friends than a leasing office.
