Positive: Professionalism, Quality
Great place to practice yoga and relax. This place is clean, quite, and allows me to concentrate on myself and my posture.

A very clean and calm space with good vibe. As soon as I walked in, I feel that I was completely isolated from the streets I just walked in which is exactly why I came here. Staff I met were all pretty nice and friendly. A great place to get away from all the craziness in this extraordinary time!

I visited this studio using the Travel Pass as I am just visiting Seattle for work this week. I attended two classes and chose 3 stars for the instructors only. Both led an energetic and challenging class which I enjoyed. I would caution if you are a beginner it is a fast paced flow with little direction and no hands on adjustments offered.

Only 3 stars because the place is so dirty! The room and mats smell so bad. It hits you as soon as you enter the room. I noticed a previous review mentioned this but said "get over it, that's what you get with hot yoga" But that just isn&apos

This was my first time ever taking yoga. I decided to take the hot yoga session at 0600. It was definitely a game changer for me! I'm hook and will be back for more!
The yoga studio is spacious, locker room is upstairs and has enough storage. The instructor was very knowledgeable and the movements was very fluid and smooth. Not as difficult as I thought it would be for a first timer. Mat rental is $5, towel is $2 to keep in mind if you don't bring your own.
Only con is you can't exit out the front like where you entered from, but you have to exit from the coffee shop. But I will

A nice hot yoga find downtown while on business. A week long of yoga for $49 including mat and towel is a steal. The only downside is the smell but then again that's hot yoga! Morgan and Reggie have great classes. Lots of options and I'd return for sure!

Great location, and it's not your typical yoga studio (at least not like the ones I've been to). There are 2 yoga rooms inside, locker rooms and a shower. The yoga room is spacious so you don't have to worry about invading your neighbor's personal space..... however, the actual class is not for me. I. could. not. breathe. It's like doing yoga in a sauna. I know other people would appreciate this because they want to sweat, and I do to, in fact I like that I was drenched, but I could not move through the poses smoothly. It was too hot and J had to catch my breath

I got a yelp account just to write this review after seeing some of what's online. For me, that indicates how strongly I feel about this place! I came by on Thanksgiving to try it out with a friend and left inspired and happy.

It's tough to find actually hot yoga classes in Seattle.

To those that complain about the heat: get over it. You rock Morgan! Can't wait to check out other classes this week.

I took class almost every evening at this yoga studio around 2013 and 2014. Then I found out one of their instructors Cassandra Mitchell is uncertified. She attended teacher training in Jan. 2016 before she taught class around 2013 and 2014. Don't let an uncertified instructor teach you yoga. It's very dangerous, physically and mentally.

I really want to love this place. There are so many things about it that's perfect. The location is perfect; it's a 5 minute walk from work! The prices are super reasonable, especially with the 10 class Groupon I got. The instructors are engaging. As other reviewers have said, the classroom setting is a little weirdly dark and industrial but I can get over that. What I can't get over is how hot it gets. The room often gets to over 100 degrees with no ventilation and I feel like I'm going to pass out halfway through the class. I regularly practice hot vinyasa so I'm not

The one and only place in Seattle I go for yoga.
I love hot yoga classes and minimalist, yet modern design of the studio. Instructors are highly knowledgeable and attentive if you desire assistance. The dressing room/ showers are super nice, clean and spacious. Pro tip: grab some cold beverages before the class and enjoy the coffee shop attached to the studio after the class.

This is the only place I go in Seattle for pedicures and waxing. Tammy is my favorite therapist, she is so sweet and kind and her work is absolutely meticulous! The spa is in a beautifully renovated old building with big, arched windows. They have nice massage chairs for the pedicures and the space is clean, bright and surprisingly quiet and peaceful for being in a busy downtown location.

This is also my favorite spot for hot yoga because the floors are slightly padded. I've done many classes with just my travel yoga mat and have been entirely comfortable when kneeling. I love that they

Tammy, who takes care of nails and waxing for me here at Urban is wonderful. The pedicures make my feet feel so pampered. She is very thorough in the care of my hands and feet, and the spa massage is wonderful.
The staff are always gracious and welcoming.
I've been receiving massages, waxing and nail treatments here for 3 years and wouldn't go anywhere else.
Yoga classes are also delightful and they have something for everyone.

Sad to report that I had a less-than-stellar experience at Urban Yoga Spa, despite the awesome reviews.

I'm fairly sure someone stole all the cash in my wallet here, but I obviously don't blame the studio for that. (But sending bad vibes to the "yogi" who did it!)

As for the yoga/studio itself, I wasn't too impressed -- the room was very stark and bare, and I didn't love the set-up of mirrors in the front and heaters in the front and back of the room. Although I knew I was doing hot yoga, it ended up being too hot and I felt like the heater was burning my skin.

I have been practicing yoga at Urban Yoga Spa since 2009 and it has changed my life. The owners, instructors, and staff are all super friendly and welcoming as well as the fellow yogis, the classes are consistently challenging and evolving, and there is an amazing sense of community that is felt there. The studio space is calming, clean, and has an urban feel, it is unlike any other hot yoga studio I have been to. In addition they often offer deals on yoga packages and have several workshops and challenges throughout the year. They also always have amazing music in class and are always open to

I love Urban Yoga Spa. The instructors are fantastic-- they are friendly, approachable, and eager to help you make the most out of your practice. They all have their unique styles as well, which makes it fun to shop a bunch of different classes. The spa is excellent too; it's not your high-end luxurious hotel spa, but the quality of care is incredibly high. They really focus on function. I love Urban Yoga Spa and would recommend it to anyone living or working around downtown Seattle!

I love this yoga studio. The classes and trainers are great, the facilities are sleak and clean and minimalist. They know me by name and I love that they offer community classes multiple times a week. The only complaint I would have is that there have been a few classes where it was just too hot. Other than that, if you like hot yoga with challenging classes and classmates that push you to your extremes this is the place to go!

Urban Yoga is the best hot yoga studio in downtown Seattle. The facility is nice, open and clean. For the most part, the room is kept very hot during the class which is something I always look for. The instructors are knowledgeable and good teachers. Ever better, they offer multiple classes at all times of the day which makes for a very convenient practice. Highly recommended.

I've been going to UYS regularly for a few years. The downtown location is perfect for post work workouts. The instructors are engaged and passionate about what they do. I especially enjoy the music intense classes that have a modern soundtrack to really get you going. The studios and locker rooms are clean and well kept. There are great workshops and special classes going on all the time. A really great place to practice!

I've been practicing for about 7 years now. UYS has the best group of students- mostly more advanced so you don't waste your time while the instructor gives details on how to do a downward dog.
Probably the most beautiful yoga studio I've been to- and the main room is pretty unbelievable.
My only complaint is in relation to 2 female instructors that were teaching noon classes as of a month ago. Definitely stood out as terrible.
Otherwise, this place is amazing. If you work downtown, you should be going here.

I have been to many yoga studios in the area and this is definitely one of the best. The facility is beautiful and the staff are welcoming. They have a great class schedule and instructors. I really enjoy the Hour of Power classes and they vary based on the instructor. The smaller room is a bit chilly for me, so I tend to avoid those classes if I can, but it may be right for other people.
