I have spent 23 weeks continuous private training at Method 3. Been with many coaches and they are all great. I had more experience with coach Alan Yu and he is fabulous - kind, patient, super professional and pay attention to details. I highly recommend him to anyone who comes here. I learned good work out form at Method 3. It was great experience working out there. All the staff are very nice and positive.
One suggestion I have is that this studio is more focused on functional or mobility training. I feel like if you are looking for a weightlifting or muscle building place, this may not be for

I can't say enough great things about Method 3 from the owner to the trainers! I highly recommend them and wouldn't consider any other place. They make you feel at home and have accommodated me due to my circumstances.

I am so happy I found Method3!
Trainer-Victoria is awesome, motivating, knowledgeable and encouraging. The community they have built at this studio is incredible, and it is such a joy working out here. Definitely recommend and encourage everyone to try it out, you won't be disappointed.
I can't forget to mention Deanna the office manager. She patiently and strategically worked with me to find a work out schedule that would work for me.

Context: Signed up at Method3 to get back into shape after not exercising for a year. My main goal was lifting/putting on muscle and I had Victoria as my trainer.
Tl;dr: Overall, great quality workouts that are tailored to your goals - you’ll see results.
Since this is an individually operated gym, you really do feel that the staff here get to know you, it’s not like a generic GloboGym training experience. 8 YEAR member at Method 3 (joined when it was Fast Action Training) I participate in large group outdoor workouts and small group (4 peeps semi-private with Sue). These trainers are the very best, the most committed and the most fun. They are extremely knowledgeable, supportive and genuinely caring. I probably drive past 10 gyms to join this great community 3-4x/week to stay in shape. They work on all dimensions- how you eat, move and think to support you getting into the best physical and mental shape. No exaggeration, 30 minutes with my personal trainer Alan can turn around even the worst of my days. I've been a partner at Method 3 for about a month and a half, and I've lost 10lbs of fat and gained muscle through a combination of fun & diverse workouts with Coach Alan 3x a week and a 28 day nutrition supercharger with Coach Sue to practice more mindful, balanced nutrition and hydration. Method 3 was exactly what I was dreaming and hoping for after several attempts at the regular gyms, where I often felt overwhelmed and even intimidated. At the moment I started at Method3 I felt at ease. The personalized treatment , friendly staff, and knowledgeable and caring coaches make this experience an enjoyable one. I'm very happy with the program and most importantly very please with my progress. I'm 55 y/o female and highly recommend Method 3. Give it a try, you won't regret it! Best decision I made.

I continue to be impressed with this little gem of a workout wonderland!
I have been a member for more than 4 years with witnessing a remodel, experiencing consistent and committed coaching, and being impressed with evolving changes due to COVID with Zoom and eventual modified outdoor and indoor workouts. The daily schedule provides for a large number of choices of sessions. The coaches are phenomenal--positive, fun, welcoming, caring. The beauty of the classes is that they are for all ages and all sizes. I am, shall we say....a senior and have never felt intimidated by fellow members or coaches

Disclaimer: This review is coming from someone who recoils at the thought of exercise :P
I started going to Method3 during the lockdown because I needed to do something besides sit in my apartment day in and day out, and they were the only fitness center still offering classes. What I was expecting was the typical "gym" experience; I'd sweat, hear some crappy EDM workout soundtrack and go home. What I actually got was an atmosphere of pure camaraderie, kindness and unity. And also sweating. To a much better soundtrack :P The workouts are never monotonous and incorporate body

I apologize for my late review (4 weeks in so far) but I have had amazing 1:1 sessions with Victoria Palmen and Christie Chappins. Both have shown a depth of knowledge and commitment to their craft that makes it very enjoyable to work out. They are each very tuned in to me and my abilities (or lack thereof) and make a point to both challenge me and motivate me for success! Each has been very creative in varying the exercises and movements during my sessions so the time goes by quickly and the sessions have not become mundane or routine in the least! I also worked with the personal trainer, Coach Victoria and she was easy to work with and cared about my fitness goals. I need to work out regularly to manage my stress and my weight. I was stressed when the pandemic took hold in San Jose! Wowzers, I had to come back here to let you all know how amazing Method3 has been throughout the pandemic. These trainers have worked so hard, gotten very creative and stayed positive, supportive, encouraging, welcoming and SAFE SAFE SAFE. My family has been very conservative when it comes to Covid, we stayed home, masked up, and did not have a bubble of people, so for me to have decided that this was a safe place to be working out means that Method3 met my very high standards. Outdoors, 15' apart, and when covid numbers were higher, we all masked up. Now that they are lower

Method3 continues to deliver even during a pandemic. They have gone above and beyond to keep us safe. The outdoor facilities are well lit and allow for members to be 10-12 feet apart from each. They have even installed rain gutters to keep us dry! If you are looking for a place to get an in person work out in look no further! The trainers are fun, motivating and super knowledgeable. My husband signed us up here for the outdoor workouts during covid. If it weren't for moving to another city, we'd still be attending Method3 Fitness weekly. We were doing twice a week but then added a third day. Marcus was primarily our instructor, which I gotta say - love his energy! And his playlist! (He's got a great variety of all sorts of music!) Also did a couple classes with Keith who's a really cool guy and personable! I've had a positive interaction with everyone who works here. John and the Method 3 team have a far superior program compared to any other gym in the Silicon Valley. I'm a fit pro myself and I love these classes. It is not just the classes that are so fabulous but the fantastic community spirit. Even in the midst of the pandemic, they were able to pivot to online classes and remain a positive force for their membership. Back in July, the outdoor space opened up. I wasn't sure I would like the new changes, yet it has been a great stress-relief for me to attend class again in-person. The outdoor tent is spacious and everything is spaced out

I'm going on 10 years as a member and I have seen so many changes. Changes for the betterment of the members. The owner and team listen to their members and adjust classes offered, times, and type of service that is current and relevant to the member. Even in these tough times, they rallied to put together with an on-line interactive program offering classes and support so that members can work out where and when they need and still have the connection to the team and other members. You will gain nutrition, mindset, fitness, and camaraderie while striving towards your personal goals.
