MTH recently sold our building to another management (with no warning or information other than a mid-day knock on our door from the new manager). Prior to selling, MTH let our building go into total disrepair. All lights in the lobby burned out, the hot water going out for days at a time, and even removing a bird-infested air conditioning unit from our wall and leaving a gaping hole for 4 months.
Aside from the maintenance issues, MTH is the least professional management I have ever dealt with. There was a discrepancy with our lease; one of the 3 property managers in the 2 years we've lived here

MTH Management recently took over operations at our building. They have done an incredibly poor job managing the transition. It took several days for them to inform residents of the change. We were unable to pay rent on time due to this. It took several requests for them to distribute an official letter informing residents, and when they did, they offered no direct means to contact a manager of any sort to address resident concerns. They were no proactive in setting up a new online portal for us. Again, it took many requests to get them to take action. They do not take resident concerns very seriously

I moved in in august (I live in the apartments on hagadorn) and here are my thoughts:
Cons:
- maintenance aren’t that responsive
-I asked the manager if the walls were thin and he said “no” but the walls are SUPER thin you can hear cell phones vibrating upstairs and every conversation outside your door so you really have no privacy
- the apartment was not clean when I moved in and doorbell did not work
- the wiring is old in the apartment and the outlets in my front room and bedroom constantly goes out if I plug in things like my space heater that I need because they decide when to turn

Do not rent an apartment from this company! Worst experience. The Deans Apartment in East Lansing had bats, mold and deplorable conditions that management didn't care about. We also had to spend a great deal of time and effort to get our rent overpayment and security deposit back. The office staff is rude and highly unprofessional.

I have lived in one their apartment complex since May 7, 2021. I never had a working oven and never had a mailbox key since I moved in. The property manager never answers the phone and I call corporate and they do nothing or don’t get back with you. Very unprofessional management.

The worst THEE Absolute worst apartment company I’ve ever had to deal with!
For rent to have been $1500+ There is no way they should have been infested with roaches, crickets, spiders, ants etc.. there is no way there is electrical issues and drainage problems
There is no way i have to go damn near a month with no washer and dryer!

I have been waiting to drop my keys off to write this. I wish i could give 0 stars. I lived in East Lansing, so I expected college housing/a college property manager. Honestly, we loved our house/duplex! It was so cute, and for a great price with great neighbors! But, you get what you pay for, regarding the management company. By far, the worst in the area. We were summoned to court in the middle of a pandemic for eviction, wrongfully, (as college students), because MTH took our BWL out of our names and into theirs and accumulated $300+ bills. Of course, first time renters would not notice this

Do not trust these people, according to them they do their best to help you, but in the end they do not help you at all. I moved from Utah to Michigan and needed an apartment, I offered the administrator Rachel all the documentation she requested, it made me spend In the application and apart from the documentation of my bank, all this to finally tell me that I could not apply in that house. Unprofessional, that is the first thing that is discussed with a person in order to apply without inconvenience.

We live at BLVD West in Lansing and MTH just took over a couple months ago. Sense they have been here all of our previous issues that were not taken care of by the old management company have been solved! We moved in August 2020 and up until MTH stepped in (~February) our cable connection never worked. The previous management would not pay for the repairs (because it required a service call from the cable company) even though it had been broken sense we moved in. MTH offered to pay the cable company repair fee and the TV connection was working within the week. There was also a bug problem in our

MTH Management has taken over management at BLVD West less than a month ago. I loved the management beforehand, we've lived here for two years and we were excited to stay for a third. Since MTH stepped in, I have changed my mind. Everything has gone downhill since and we have experienced more problems in less than a month than the two years with previous management. The trash is constantly overflowing, and they have done nothing to fix it, besides charging everyone who leaves their trash where it's supposed to go for 25$/bag or box.
