8 Limbs Yoga Centers
The words Sabbath and sabbatical come from the Hebrew word saa, to rest. Codified in many religions and in university settings, taking a rest, or a pause, from the ordinary and obligatory, is something we all need, but not something we all take! I'm not talking about sleep here, I'm talking about an intentional slowing down.
Services
We root our commitment in the eight limbs of yoga, precepts for living that originated in South Asia and Northern Africa, and honor the lineage of teachers that have informed us as practitioners of yoga in the West. We pledge to practice all eight limbs of yoga within our business and ourselves. We aim to provide classes, workshops, and other events geared to supporting people of all backgrounds and levels.
Pre-registration is required - we do not have Yoga Advisors working at the front desk at this time and teachers do not have the ability to take payments or register students. Please register through the MindBody app or online before you arrive. 8 Limbs Yoga Centers is Livestreaming a variety of classes with some of our most experienced teachers!
At 8 Limbs, you will find Hatha and Flow/Vinyasa Yoga classes that are instructional, insightful, and appropriate to your level of yoga experience. Our experienced and highly trained instructors bring their own expertise and passion to their classes. Beginner Yoga - Brand new to yoga? This is the class for you!
An 8 Limbs Private Session is a personalized yoga lesson between teacher and student(s). 8 Limbs Yoga Centers is excited to offer one-on-one or small group private sessions with our most experienced teachers as a way to highlight and return to the roots of how yoga practices were originally designed to be shared, from teacher to student.
8 Limbs Yoga Centers partners with community organizations, artists, musicians, and community members to provide special events throughout the year. These may include events such as outdoor yoga, benefit classes, teacher training informational sessions, and mission-based programs aimed at furthering the study of all aspects of yoga.

Positive: Communication, Quality
One of the best yoga studios I've ever experienced. Love that the teachers all are so unique and their personality comes thru in teaching. This isn't a cookie cutter yoga class type place.

I love 8 Limbs Capitol Hill! The studio is a great balance of bright and cozy and the teachers so welcoming. I always look forward to class, never feel that class is a competition, and always leave class feeling refreshed and calm.
Highly recommend!

There are many yoga studios, but this one stands out for the expertise of their instructors. The thoughtful form corrections will improve your practice in fascinating ways! Each instructor brings some new diversity, exposing us to the vast world of yoga.
The main Capitol Hill space is Sunny and bright, and near the best coffee shops and restaurants in town. You can buy anything you need for your practice in their shop.
The instructors really care. They are warm and friendly. 8 Limbs is a highlight of my week. Namaste!

Great traditional Yoga studio. One of the few places offering non heated yoga. I love Nancy’s classes, she is the best teacher and her style is closest to the jivamukti yoga style which I used to practice when living in other cities. Challenging flow and amazing music!!!
I’ve been to classes of other teachers as wel, but even the advanced classes have not been challenging and dynamic enough even though when described as level 2-3.
Thus I only go to Nancy’s classes and that one I can definitely recommend 😊😊

I have always had a lovely class with this crew. The instructors are deeply mindful, thoughtful, and provide interesting and inventive ways in which to explore my body and mind with breath and movement. They are so kind, patient, funny, and unique. This is not one of those fitness classes that is purely cardio strength and brawn masquerading as yoga, yet they are as intense as you need them to be. A true gem in Seattle!

8 Limbs is a very welcoming, warm studio in the heart of Capitol Hill. They offer a range of classes and have a large staff so you can figure out which teachers/classes work best for you. I'm always nervous trying out a new studio but my experience at 8 Limbs has been great. Would recommend for all skill levels.

I am a total newbie to the world of yoga. Searching for a studio that would be a good fit for me was intimidating - how do I even know what a good studio is?? I happened on 8 limbs through my various searches and decided to check it out because it's close to my work. I feel incredibly grateful I found such a warm, welcoming, and supportive studio right off the bat! I've really enjoyed every one of my classes, trying different styles and all the instructors. I can't say enough good things about it!!

Great variety of teachers each offering unique takes and backgrounds of yoga. The classes are decently priced and they are always offering promotions. They have a 200 and 500 RYT program and always bring guest instructors to the studio. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a home yoga studio and is NOT hot yoga. They're located in the center of Capital Hill and very close to many other quirky and mom and pop type establishments.
