The treatment I received from Jessica after my friend passed away at this apartment complex was appalling. She is one of the rudest people I have encountered in my whole life. She made cleaning out his apartment ten times more painful than necessary. There was zero compassion that I was cleaning out my friend's apartment--my friend who died. What a heartless human being Jessica!!

She told one of my patients, Nancy, that they were fake when she inquired about paying half of my friend's rent when he was alive. My patient called at least three times to keep up on the balance my friend

BUYER BEWARE!
Before you sign the lease ask about the EXTRA UTILITY BILL. Somehow we all end up signing the lease without knowing that there is more to your rent than meets the eye. Tenants are also charged for water, pest control, sewer, and trash. When I was going through the lease process I asked how much the water bill was. This is Tucson and most apartments will charge you for water. She told me around $15 to $20 a month. She failed to tell me, though, that they would be charging me for the three other items as well. So I was shocked to receive a bill for $35 over and above my rent. That was

Caroline, the office manager, and her staff are incredible. Very attentive and helpful with anything we needed. They would go above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome. Also, the place is looking amazing. They just had the pool remodeled and its so inviting now. Take a tour, you wont regret it. I would definitely recommend this complex to anyone considering a move.

Had to give it one star so I could post this review, such a horrible experience with this apartment company. Their management is horrible, they had one decent employee and they no longer work with the company. Such a bad experience having to deal with this apartment complex. Had issues with the company that runs their complex, took them two weeks to respond, was talked down on very rudely, would NOT recommend anyone having to deal with them or anyone run by Gaines Investment !

I completely despise these apartments, they constantly shut off the water without a notice. But what really messes you up about living here it's if you're a day late on rent. If you are a day late they charge you $50 and then after that it's $10 every day. That is completely ridiculous for these Economic Times. I would never live here again nor recommend it to anyone else.

Consistency is a joke, office staff is rude, maintenance does a rushed and half-assed job.
Get Everything In Writing. We were promised a ground floor apartment and a move-in date. We sign all the paperwork, get the moving truck, and arrive on said day, just to be told the apartment wasn't ready. We were given the option to wait a week or choose a second floor apartment that had just been redone with new appliances. Not only were the appliances Not New, they were dirty and falling apart. The apartment reeked of smoke (and still does to this day when the weather is hot).

From the beginning the rental process was terrible. The office assistant messed up on the move in costs; the day I was due to move in no one seemed to know if the apartment was ready, but eventually determined it was; went to check out the apartment before signing and when I went in it smelled of pet urine, nothing turned on (as, fridge) flooring in kitchen was a mess. When I told the manager she went to check and then apologized. They needed another day to get this issues taken care of but I had my stuff in my truck ready to move in. I never moved in. They would not give me back my $100 deposit

My mother has lived in a one bedroom apt (first floor) for over ten years and has had very few problems. I have visited frequently and have always found the atmosphere to be very pleasant. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained... Including the pool, tennis courts, basketball court, laundry, library, and common areas. People are often out walking their dogs. In my opinion, the the 1-star ratings should be taken with a grain of salt. Yes, the management has changed several times and the laundry costs more than the one down the street. Overall, I'd recommend this place if you're

OOOOppps! Cancel the outdated compliment about the grounds... The company, Gaines, has fired about 4 landscaping companies in the last 2 years with very long delays between companies resulting in NO landscaping.

Managers last on average about 6 months. They've gone through about 10 in the 6 years that I've been here.

Probably the best landcaping at an apartment complex in Tucson.
I've lived here for over 4 years now, and about 15 or 20 maintenance people and about 10 managers.
There is a continuing infestation of BED BUGS! The crew is here again this morning. they spray and put

I moved to La Hacienda more than two years ago from Los Angeles. It has been a very good experience. The people who manage and perform maintenance of the property are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Being new to town and knowing no one, I couldn't imagine a better community to move into. All around wonderful experience.

I see some negative reviews on here about Mary, the property manager... and I want to personally stand up here and make it known that Mary is one of the most important reasons why I've enjoyed living here in peace with my baby daughter for the last two years.

I moved here from Austin, Tx almost a year ago and I am happy to call La Hacienda my home.

The office staff are always going above and beyond and the maintenance team work fast to fix any issues. I am often times home alone at night with my son because my husband travels for work. Mary the property manager gave me her personal number when she heard. Being new to Tucson with no friends or family here it means the world to know I had someone I could trust in case of emergency. When the monsoons came we had a leak in the bedroom. Ray the head maintenance man was there within hours to fix the issue

5/5 for sure! Best apartment community I have ever stayed at. I have good neighbors and never hear them unless both of our windows are open and their TV is loud or they drop a shampoo bottle in the shower. I do not hear yelling or music at this complex; however, I live on the north side of the complex and the adjacent apartment complex may have some questionable activity/noise at times that I can hear. There is a privacy fence separating the two complexes. The landscaping contractor comes frequently and does good work. At times, bushes reach into the sidewalks but are tamed as soon as a work

It took them 4 months to fix my A/C when it broke in May in the middle of the hottest days, I called the manager at least once a week to find out the status which was always it's still in the process. When the new A/C unit was put in they left it hanging halfway out of the wall. When I renewed my lease for 9 months I got a notice only 3 MONTHS after signing the 9 month lease saying I missed my renewal date and now would be paying month to month rent. They still have not returned any of my calls. Some of the residents will park in 2+ parking spaces for one vehicle. The apartments are tiny

I had a pretty terrible experience with this place. The management is completely incompetent. Don't get me wrong the groundskeepers do a phenomenal job but in terms of living and services it's quite awful.

Just one of many examples is in just calling the front desk to report a problem such as a ceiling leak you go straight to voicemail. But the front desk will answer if you call saying, "I'm looking for a new apartment". I should mention that my water damaged ceiling was never repaired and leaked every time it rained... THERE ARE BETTER PLACES!!!

First of all, 100% satisfied! I lived here for 2 years and I would recommend it. Importantly, I received a full deposit refund within 3 weeks of leaving. And my deposit was the cost of one months rent. I LOVE the grounds and the pool area! It's hard to find a complex that feels like you're on vacation. Surrounded by trees and grass, it was always very relaxing. It's in a great location, within minutes of grocery stores, restaurants etc. The apartments are small, but the prices are GREAT and cheapest in the area. I am a single working girl and La Hacienda fitted my lifestyle perfectly

Well, I lived here for about 5 years, starting out in a studio and then upgrading to a one bedroom. In the years that I lived there I've lost count as to how often management has changed.

The price is good, the apartment grounds look nice, and it's in a preferred part of town (for me at least). But the apartments are TINY.

The neighborhood has become worse and worse. Be careful of what you leave in your car, because mine got broken into THREE times.

The gym is tiny, and the machines are usually broken. Once the weight machine was broken and I didn't realize it so I got 40 pounds
