We stayed for a week. The staff is all very friendly. The beds are extremely comfortable.
They have sets of plates and silverware in the room; ours had dried food on the knives and forks. The bathrooms are a bit small but not the worst thing in the world. Overall a great stay; and we’ll come here again!

Vintage Catalina at it's best! Tony and Ester are the most gracious hostal! Tony's art work is scattered throughout the patios in mosaics and paintings. Vintage furniture doesn't distract from the clenliness of the rooms. The beds I have slept in were all perfectly comfortable Every room was clean, clean, clean! I have been a guest there. Since I was a child. Over 50 years. Like most of Catalina there are stairs. Some minimal, some not. Lovely patios to relax in or enjoy a meal.

I love this place! It's worth the short walk to get there. We stayed in cottage 5. It's small but cute and has everything you need. Full kitchen and eating/cooking utensils. Outside there are bbqs available. The beds were cozy. It's 3 short blocks from the beach and 1 bllock from Vons market. I'm already planning 2 return trips. I can't wait to stay in the larger units that have spa tubs. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I recommend booking directly with the property and take advantage of them getting you a deal on the boat trip over. 👍💞😁

So much bleach, chlorine, through out room it was horrible. When informed the staff immediately ran to store and picked up a plug in room freshener, woke up both mornings with a headache. Recently remodeled, but poor workmanship and materials. Jacuzzi bath feels like it was installed without proper support under it. Shower head holder is cracked , held together by rusty bolt and wing nut. Shower head fell on me just missing my head.
Staff was nice, but stay was dangerous to our health.

Best hotel on the island by all standards. super clean, amazing location with amazing views, not to mention its owned by the nicest and most accommodating hotel owners I've ever had the privilege to meet. My family and I had been coming to this spot for around 10 years now- I cannot wait until I have kids of my own and can continue our traditions here for years to come

Awesome location! A close walk to everything especially the store! The staff allowed us to check in 2 1/2 hrs early which was very nice. When we first arrived at 11pm, our room wasn't ready. They allowed us to drop off our luggage in their front office while our room was getting cleaned. Our room was nice! Had a kitchen with 4 beds. Room #10. Would highly recommend staying here and would come back myself. Thank you La Paloma Las Flores for a comfortable stay!

I was surprised for my birthday and taken to Catalina and he booked with La Paloma... This place is so different than what most people ( myself included) would stay.. I love it here so much we are booking every birthday year here and good ol #16 will be our home away from home.. The owners are super nice and the place is covered with beautiful flowers..and a sweet dog to meet you in the courtyard.

Everything was as expected. The staff was very friendly, our room was clean, and we really enjoyed the courtyard outside our cottage. We visited Catalina for a weekend of scuba diving and stayed at La Paloma because it has a reputation of being diver friendly and we found that to be true.
Very good location - walkable to downtown/waterfront, very close to Von's market to grab groceries or snacks, and close to Casino Point for snorkeling or diving.

Cute little hotel. It isn't very disability friendly. It is on a steep hill but they are very accommodating in that they put us on the first floor. Our only concerns were that the hotel room wasn't as clean as it should have been with the COVID situation, and they turn off the hot water after it's used for a short time to force you to conserve water. That doesn't work when you have multiple people showering. I feel like they should be informing people about a time limit before booking. Additionally, the room was freezing at night. They give you a small space heater that doesn

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was clean, the staff pay close attention to covid details (impressive, really...they even wiped down my credit card and id!), it was quiet at night, the garden setting was peaceful and enchanting, the bed was really comfy, and I enjoyed having a kitchen to prepare my own meals. I'd stay here again!

We loved this hidden gem! I emailed about coming for the weekend for our tenth wedding anniversary. The owner was happy to give us an amazing package deal! We had a private cottage! Boat and taxi rides. We had a blast. Love the plants and decor! The only thing they should change is the mattresses. They are thin and not very comfortable at all. The springs poke you. But i still have 5 stars because it was wonderful! Relaxing!!

Terrible customer service from this Hotel, I booked a room and cancelled my reservations less than thirty-minutes later, it has now been 37-days and still no refund. Ester the Manager keeps giving me the runaround about processing earlier refunds and for me to wait another week to see if mine will be processed. The truth of the matter is (according to an employee), they are waiting for a loan to be approved for them to be able to pay back cancelled reservations. This is ridiculous being that I cancelled mine withing 30-minutes and using a credit card. SUPER BAD EXPERIENCE and unacceptable for this

Going into La Paloma is an adventure in itself. You are immediately surrounded by gardens Las Flores, 2nd part of the name. The ambiance will remind you of traveling abroad, especially Central America countries with tile and brick work and real wood. The rooms are updated and modernized, and most of it offers a view thru the window or balcony. Cozy small rooms, great experience so far in two weeks. Check the pictures out yourselves! Have fun in Catalina Island!

Amazing hotel. We stayed in room 14 from fri-sun. The hotel owners were very accommodating( I had flowers made at the vons and delivered there and then they put them in my room before we arrived). Every time I saw the owners they were so nice and accommodating. If I came to Catalina again, I would definitely stay here. The views are great and it's a nice central location. The lower courtyard is so beautiful, and the stairs up to the hotel are amazing. If you don't like stairs be warned, there are stairs haha. The room has its own kitchen and that is really nice for traveling.

Catalina historically has had really pathetic hotels and motels. I see that that is changing and alot of places are starting to revamp.
After walking there from the Catalina Express Landing (not bad, even with lugging scuba gear), we had visuals on a Vons before going up a slight hill to a slightly obscured hotel (there IS a sign on the street with a pointer, that was very helpful).
Check in is a side window. This is also where you can pick up a pastry in the morning. They seemed to have difficulty finding my room information but finally, we had some keys in hand.
The room itself was very lovely

It's a really nice place to stay. My stay was from Fri-sun.
It's so relaxing. Close to the Main Street walkable to the express boat. Took my 3 kids and it was a perfect. Place to be able to let them run around. Not just stuck in a room. Service was good no complaints. Rooms are nice and clean. We had cottage 1 super comfy and nice also had room B nice size for the kids. Really enjoyed our stay here. If we visite again this will be the place will be at again. Thank you Paloma for beautiful memories your place gave us.
