Welcome to Tula Thai Yoga, where I offer Thai Yoga, a unique form of bodywork and a beautiful healing art system. I also offer individual yoga instruction. Tula means "balance" in Sanskrit. Part of the essential nature of yoga, and Thai Yoga, is to balance the body, the mind, and the spirit. We all seek balance in our lives. Thai Yoga is a balance of different practices, including yoga, massage, energy work, ayurveda and acupressure. Life when stretched is celebration.

I first discovered Thai Yoga at a spa in Santa Fe in 2004, and the wonderful combination of yoga and bodywork made me an instant fan. However, I didn't receive Thai Yoga again until a trip to Thailand in 2009, at which point I developed a more active interest in the practice.
I have been a student and practitioner of yoga for many years, and it has been an important part of my life in many ways--physically, mentally, and spiritually-- for which I am deeply grateful.I began my basic training in Thai Yoga in the fall of 2011, at the Sunshine School, in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Thai Yoga is closely related to yoga, as well it's sister science, Ayurveda. It is believed to have been brought from India to Thailand about 2500 years ago. Thai Yoga is influenced by traditional medicine systems of India, China and SE Asia, and has evolved over centuries in Thailand to become an integral part of the Thai cultural tradition, as well as a medical discipline.
An attitude of metta, or loving kindness and compassion, is a central part of the practice of Thai Yoga, promoting a calm and peaceful environment. Thai Yoga is done on a comfortable mat on the floor, and you will be guided through a series of gentle, assisted yoga stretches which will also include rhythmic, rocking acupressure along the body's muscles and energy lines.
Sally is intuitive, professional and compassionate. From the moment you enter the calm space in her home, and connect with her friendly, healing vibe, you know you are in good hands. The soothing rocking, and yoga-like stretches feel both relaxing and therapeutic, and it is easy to surrender to Sally's expertise.

Sally is awesome, and so are her Thai sessions! Her touch is confident and comforting. The pressure was perfect, and she did a wonderful job of honoring my body's current challenges and helping me to also honor my body. She is a very grounded and down to earth practitioner, and I can't recommend her enough!

I love Tula Thai! if you've never received this type of massage before, it's quite a bit like having yoga done to you- very passive and relaxing. The location is clean and safe. Sally has an excellent capacity to help others heal. The more sessions I have with her, the more I realize the depth of her knowledge. I leave feeling like my vision is more clear and the world is in a healthier perspective. Thank you Sally! You are great.
