I made 3 appts over ~10 days to see different units that became available, and every time David (Barajas) and Mahealani (Leofa) were both so understanding. Thank you both for making me feel welcome from the start! Concierge staff have been great, always so friendly and helpful.
Our unit has a lovely east facing view, and the morning sun keeps the space warm enough so the heater isn't needed, which is nice during these colder days. Both the unit and the entire floor are quiet, which I enjoy. Other tenants I've come across in the elevator and shared spaces have been pleasant. Overall, my experience

Since last year, I was satisfying all the time living in AVEN. I love my big windows with spectacular view from 29th floor. And community area is very cool, clean, nicely done. It’s more quality of 5star hotel. And moreover, I love all the staff of Concierge, Leasing office and Maintenance department. Literally all staffs are so angelic and professional! Last week I was having trouble with my garage access tag so I went to the leasing office. Mahealani was so incredibly kind and helpful, and I felt like she really cared about helping me. She even went above and beyond and helped me recover a move in incentive which had expired. Mahealani gets an A++ and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Mahealani and the rest of the management team at Aven are wonderful and have been so helpful and responsive. The move-in process was swift and seamless and I've been enjoying the amenities. Neighbors are extremely quiet and the staff is so friendly whenever I bump into them. Would absolutely recommend if you're seeking a great place to live in South Park.

Business area and kitchen , and barbecue area always clean and easy accessible, not to mention a dog park with dog showers! great staff , management , lobby concierge and leasing office consultants. Honestly writhing this review solely on when I toured the apartment complex last week, I had David show me around he is one of the leasing agents. The tour went fine and I was shown all the amenities and I was really considering moving here, it felt more like a hotel than apartment complex. Although, once the tour ended I had asked David if he could send me all the information of the apartments we just toured literally right when it ended, because it was quite a few. 1. I noticed that one of the 5-star reviews was actually written by a person who works there. Totally inappropriate!
2. During the tour, I was told that I would have assigned parking. But after I applied, they told me that I would have to park outside the building because there was no parking space available. I asked how long the waitlist was, but they declined to share that information, and I felt that they were not being honest.
3. Had a ridiculous income verification process, which would prevent most people from getting accepted.

I would like to say do not live here. It's been almost a year since I applied to live here and it's a 500$ deposit and I never received my check in the mail. I've tried calling and reaching out and never have recieved it. They even contacted me to remove my last Yelp review saying I'd recieve my check but I have not.

Rude apartments that support prospective tenants parking in multiple street spaces then harassing locals who have parked the best they can, and taking invasive photos of the locals and their cars. The leasing manager giving the tour gave no care to the harassment of the locals and only towards giving a tour to the rude and invasive prospective tenants. Do not support an apartment complex that doesn't respect locals.
Update: it seems the property manager has responded without really reading my review because their response makes no sense other than making it SEEM like they care.

I applied this Apartment in Feb and put an application fee and security deposit.
After 3 days I decide to withdraw my application, get my deposit refunded.
They sent the check to my previous address first wrongly, which I asked them to send to AVEN directly.
Then they canceled the checked and requested it on March 2nd.
Every time when I call to check the status of the refund, they always tell me it’s gonna be there next week.
Next week is May, it’s gonna be almost 2 months.

After tireless searching which led to so many disappointing viewings at other buildings we just happened to drive down Grand and see AVEN.
It was fate. THIS BUILDING IS AN OASIS. It is true luxury in every sense of the word: experience, customer service, amenities, living space, finishes, services, and the property is by far the best I’ve seen in LA. Everything about this property is well thought out. Not a single detail missed. It is an inclusive property with an attention to the holistic experience of each tenant.

I really don't recommend this building. I was there as a guest many times and I was choked by how the security guy speaks to residents! Very rude..
Residents are prohibited from bringing guests to the amenities, even if it's one guest. We were playing Volley Ball when the security asked to leave and said that he was going to call the police.
We didn't say that we were staying or not leaving, so I didn't understand why he said that!
They just took off the basketball ring so no one can play! This building is really poorly managed. Instead of working hard to clean, and limit

Management is sketchy. If you are planning to move into a DTLA luxury apartment, I would look elsewhere first. Management is sub par at this place and pretty obnoxious in terms of how they deal with the residents here. I could write a book but the money I spend here right now is not what i really signed up for. Granted it is COVID however, there are other places that deal with it much better and you at least feel that you are valued as a resident. At Aven, as long you pay them the rent they could careless about the residents.

Wow Paul chambers writes email first week of covid saying they will work on calculating a reimbursement for closed amenities to be announced when things open. Then provides none. Why would you even entertain this If you were not even remotely sure this could be offered.

I love this place, location, and the staff! I just moved in last week,(from across the street) and I don't need to go anywhere for anything... Gym, fresh ground coffee, saltwater swimming pool with sun all day, sand volleyball, basketball court, rooftop garden, etc... Aven has the best amenities I've ever seen! Everyone seems genuinely happy to be working here. J working at the concierge, Juan handles the maintenance Penny, and Merci were very helpful before, during, and after my move in. Highly recommended
