This apartment's parking's elevator has been shut down for over 3 months and there's no compensation for the residents at all(still paying $100 a month for this non-elevator parking). Plus, the after work hour lockout fees is $175 and it's after 6pm, even with staff on duty in the lobby. Paying $175 for a lockout with staff already there, and 3 months walking down the ramp made the experience here a super nightmare.

Don't write reviews but I thought I would because I read many that were helpful and I am thankful. That being said, my review is about the basics.
I am not high-need and I am conscious that this is DTLA.
In the beginning, there were some communication issues but once I connected with the staff they were great.
Highlights:
Residents, everyone seems respectful.
The building, its beautiful.
Staff, in general everyone is helpful, some go beyond. Everything is always clean and well maintained,
Negatives:
Parking is marginal, but if you are going to harp on that, you should not live downtown

I never seen such a bad front desk her names Emily.my two parking spaces have been occupied by others for two days as same cars, first day a lady helped me solve this problem I e-mailed her the photo of the car occupying my parking space, she gave me an overnight parking gusts ticket with really good attitude. But today this lady named Emily obviously doesn't want to help us solve this problem. She is only willing to give me a two-hour ticket, Said she needed to ask her manager for it, then she told me that my car needs to be driven away within two hours or she will lock my car. I asked her where

A beautiful spot in DTLA I leased through Dana Garcia she is a really helpful person. Dana worked hard and was prompt to process my application. She can work with you to find what works best and I am very grateful for all of her hard work. She made the entire process easy and fast. You should definitely lease through Dana.

TLDR: Don't live here. If you do, document everything to protect yourself from management's incompetence and lack of integrity.
Horrible experience from the very first day. On my move in day, I was told that the parking garage is full and so my parking is tentatively at a parking garage nearby. Fine enough. I was given a remote to open the gate, a fob for door access, in a paper box numbered XXXX (I don't remember the number). The leasing agent was supposed to show me where this parking garage was, but she was so busy that we agreed to go over this later in the day. Well, what

Just wow.. Took me about two weeks to schedule a tour due to no call back everytime I called. Finally I got lucky and when I called again for the I don't know how many time, the leasing office was available for me to schedule a tour for Saturday. I am currently at the property for my scheduled tour and the leasing office is closed. No calls nor email left for me to know. The guy at the lobby didn't seem too sorry for this situation. Just asked me to call back tomorrow and they will be able to reschedule me.
I don't care if this place is nice or what not, not going to live here

I moved into 888 right before COVID started and spent the entire year in my apartment. After one year living there, I would say 888 was the best apartment I've lived in and I would recommend it to anyone ever asks my experience.
1) The staff is always friendly and helpful. Whenever I have a heavy package, the front desk staff helped send the package to my door. They're there for help 24/7. I've had a few incidences that I wouldn't call the best experience, but I was able to reach the management team right away and get the problems solved. I ran into issues at every apartment

Place is great! They have a 1000 referral bonus! Message me and we can split this, if you end up coming!!!!
The elevators are super quick. Clean building inside and out. Would definitely choose over the many others high rises in the downtown. Accessibility to all the near stores, specifically the Whole Foods, an absolute life saver. Great amenities, the gym and yoga studio are worthwhile! Overall a 9 out of 10.

Moving out after 2 years so here is the final review.
Pros:
Truly noise cancelling windows
Rarely ever heard the neighbors above and below
Amazing 24/7 concierge
Great maintenance crew
Generally very cleanly place
Fully secured parking garage
Literally the best packaging system ever
Cons:
No water dispensers on the fridges
Sometimes the main lobby smelled horrendous
Poor communication from management at times
Temperature within unit was inconsistent depending on the room I was in
Overall 5/5.

Let me start off with all of the positives at 888: the concierges are amazing, the building has gorgeous views and the amenities are done to perfection. Tay, Adam, Eric, Will, Marcus, and Jose all do an incredible job at making the residents feel comfortable & accommodated. The building has some issues with how it was built which definitely makes their job harder but they always have a smile on their face and greet us despite.
A huge issue I know they constantly deal with, is the people that decide to use the drive way as their personal loading zone blocking the only way for residents to

I wish I could give this place negative stars. They don't even deserve one star. Having lived about a year, I have found many problems but stopped talking to them after realizing they don't give a damn. I just thought it could not get any worse and just have been waiting till my lease is over.
However, what happened yesterday made me feel so UNSAFE living here
A couple of days ago, a man came to my unit and wanted to check the bathroom shower. There was no notice about it. He didn't even enter the bathroom but saw the shower from a distance. What was very strange to me was that

This review is specifically for Eric, who works at concierge. Eric was a bright spot during our stay at 888, which was two years. He was kind, helpful, and always happy just to chat. Despite whatever other misgivings we had about living here (and there were many), Eric was always on our level, ready to help, and generally a joy to see when he was working. Although we've since moved, we wish him all the best and recommend him highly to whomever may have the fortune to have him as a part of their team.

We've been here for a week and we are VERY happy. The apartment itself is beautiful. Everything is laid out well and very accessible. We needed a bit more storage and had to run to Ikea for some shelves, but that's more on my need for "all the toys" and less on the apartment itself.
The amenities are fantastic. Specifically, there is a wonderful private rooftop park that includes a grassy area, bbq's with picnic tables and an awesome pool. Our favorite part is the private dog park - Rigby is a big fan.
Finally, the best part so far about 888 at Grand Hope Park has been

I absolutely hate this building. I live literally two blocks away, and they run a projector-strength screen, which lights up our entire building and irritates people who live facing 888 at Grand.
This screen gets turned on around 11PM only to turn right back up around 6AM - or at least so I've noticed. Since I go to sleep before and wake up by this time, I have to deal with this - get annoyed by it, really - daily without any recourse. I guess the only recourse besides some kind of administrative action is always shutting off all windows with blinds, but what's the point of living in

This post is long overdue especially since we've lived here for a year now. We were one of the first residents in the building when it opened. I remember thinking that it felt like move in day at university where everyone was moving in and bumping into each other at the local furniture stores (Macy's, West Elm) and saying hello and introducing ourselves to fellow residents as we were the very few who moved in that month. After a year we see unfamiliar faces and have seen the growth and changes of the building. Overall, we really love living here. FYI, I wasn't asked to write this review - I've

The place is actually growing on me, and the things that bother me are not noticeable anymore.im impress of how well the staff takes care of the building, and the neighbors are of good quality; hope it stays like that for a long time.
The Concierge front desk is still the best part of the property; they're on top of everything. Management is Also being more friendly and are calling you by name.
I'm proud to call this place home!

I came here recently for tour and I had to said this is probably the nicest new apartment in the price range in DTLA.
The location is very good is basically to most ideal places in DTLA except to little Tokyo or the museum but is basically bus transit right in front of the apartment.
The apartment is 34 stories and is totally brand new.
Pros:
Brand new apartment so every thing is new
Very few people moved as now so the building is mostly empty so hardly anyone use the gym or pool
Room appliances is high quality and all are whirlpool brand. The fridge is huge even included for studio

This place has reasonable prices, great amenities, a good location and nice appliances. It is right next to Ralph's, Petco, FIDM, and has good locations near by. For a downtown apartment building to location is better than most others you'll find.
They have great technology that allows your visitors to have a code or you to allow them in the building. The outdoor amenities are beautiful. Great for entertaining.
The closets are a little small and some of the bedrooms are as well but they have apartments with bigger rooms.
Definitely recommend over a lot of places.
