I am a current resident of Duet and have lived here for almost a year now. The apartments and amenities themselves are nice, but my biggest problem has been with management. There is an increasing level of crime in the area, and management doesn’t care enough to do anything about it. My apartment has been burglarized twice since moving in, and my roommates car windows were smashed while it was parked and locked in the gated garage. We informed management of this each time, and were met with what I can only call extreme apathy.

In my 3 years of living here, I found Duet on Wilcox to be both a comfortable and convenient place to live. I am 24 and find this place to have been perfect for what I was looking for!
It's right off the highway as well as on the walk of fame. Although directly next to it's great place if you enjoy night life and parties, bars, etc. The rooms are comfortable, the maintenance team is quick and reliable. They allow dogs which is cool if you enjoy pets. Parking structures are underground so your car is safe and typically not as dirty. There are 2 pools you get access too, one deep and one shallow

Love living at the Duet! The apartment building itself is modern, clean, quiet, and in a prime location. Love being able to walk to different restaurants and bars on Hollywood Blvd. Also love that Target, CVS, and Trader Joe's are so close. Doesn't get more central than the Duet. The neighbors in the building are great as well.
My apartment is a studio and the unit is perfect for what I need. Love the wood-finish flooring, the clean, modern look of the unit, the kitchen appliances, and the AC is clutch.

The apartment is clean and well maintained. The security guards are attentive and make their rounds to ensure our safety. This is a non-smoking building, but there is ALWAYS a smell of pot in the hallways from being smoked in the apartments. The office staff are attentive until you sign on the dotted line but impossible to get a response from after that.

Pros; Nice building, newly renovated, everything is onsite and the staff is pretty friendly. 24/7 security. Cute apartments. Garage parking. They even give out gift bags and have special promotions.
Cons; It can get noisy, they let people play loud music at the pool which is very frustrating when you work from home. Or just want to chill at the pool and not listen to someone else's music. I'm pretty sure I lived next to an Airbnb for most of the pandemic which didn't make me feel safe at all, there were multiple occupants who were not following rules or wearing masks. They're laundry machines

The apartment building is old but the renovations are great! The staff here is very accommodating and extremely friendly. Maintenance always comes the day of if not the next day. Jackie the office manager is super sweet and made my move from Texas to LA extremely smooth. Highly recommend this property!! The only issues I have had were minor issues that maintenance took care of ASAP!

If I could give this complex 0 stars I would. DO NOT LIVE HERE. My last year living here was hell, and even though I haven't lived here for 4 months they never took my information out of their system so I still continuously get calls from the call box and messages from Parcel Pending (even though I processed my move out on my side).
The leasing office offered ZERO HELP even though I called multiple times and actually went there myself to talk about the messages and to ask to be removed out of their system.
They don't care about you as a renter. They don't care about customer service

Honestly I have never lived anywhere worse than this place. I live in the 1750 building and it is nothing but obnoxious air b&b guests. I will be breaking my lease after only 3 months of living here because I can't even get proper sleep due to the noise. It's dangerous to have all these random people in and out of the building as well! Some man in the gym tried sexually harassing me and he's not even a tenant here. Avoid this place at all costs !!! I can't wait to move out so I can take them to small claims court since they haven't upheld their no subletting policy

We have been living in the Duet since Feb 2019. Indeed the leasing office assistance is gr8 Bernard is definitely a key asset to your company and Denny is right there as well. My 1st summer was Heaven in Hollywood with our newly renovated deck area. The maintenance staff is hustling at top speed to keep all apts in good order as well as common areas of the bldg My husband is disabled and the employees are tripping over each other trying to help him; gr8 problem to have as that is our only one !!! Thanks to Bernard, Denny, Randy, Joel, Augustino, San Antonio and all those that make the place gr8

First thing, Bernard is awesome. We are originally from NYC and had a very short amount of time in LA to check out apartments. We visited several communities and nothing compared to Duet on Wilcox.
Bernard's hospitality was so amazing. We visited him 3 times, no seriously... 3 days in a row. Every time that we came back to just double-check and make sure this was the right place for us - he welcomes us with open arms and a smile.

Building looks nice after renovations but management is an absolute disaster - unprofessional, disorganized, and rude (sometimes even in email announcements).
They will just do a key fob audit and turn all keys off without any communication - almost no words to describe their incompetency.
Maintenance usually gets taken care of in a few days but if you have something urgent like water damage it is not being attended to immediately. Also, communication about when the issue will be addressed is nonexistent. There were issues with roaches in the building but I believe that was addressed (the trash

Overpriced but what can you expect for living in Los Angeles. Apartments are fine it's not a horrible place to live. The maintenance men are nice and helpful. The parking garage gate is open half the time. My husbands car got broken into and they stole hundreds dollars worth of tools. Security guards just sit around or flirt with the females walking by. The hallways are old and dingy, also it always smells like weed. The people in the office aren't very helpful seem incompetent, they only care when you are trying to lease an apartment. If you want your packages to be lost/stolen. This is a great place for you. Their new mail room set up is awful, I haven't had so many problems with not receiving my packages until now. God knows where they end up because they sure aren't in the mail room, not at my front door, and not in the office; so why does it say delivered then?
