Pros:
-Location was great. Right above the Safeway, with QFC and Whole Foods right down the street. All the restaurants in the Junction were a quick walk away.
-Views: For the units along 42nd Ave SW, the view of the water, mountains, and sunset were incredible (we were in a 3rd floor unit). Could also see downtown Seattle from the other end.
-Staff was quick to respond and friendly.
-2 bdrm unit had a nice master and nice closets. Pretty spacious unit overall.

Cons:
-A bit expensive for what you get. Unit was nice but a bit rough around the edges (had excess primer sprayed all over the place

I’ve lived here for almost 2 years and it’s a beautiful complex. The location is everything as it’s close to restaurants, grocery stores and a strip of shops.
Keandra who works in the office has been nothing short of amazing. She’s very personable, friendly and understanding. She’s made our living experience here much better.

Price vs quality is nice here. The apartments and complex itself are decent quality. Only negative we have seen is that they seem to be short staffed between maintenance and leasing at times. Alma the apartment manager was probably the biggest reason for our positive experience here. We likely would have considered staying if not for the issues caused by the West Seattle bridge closure.

Finally processed the move out, took long enough. They didn't even out our new address on the deposit check so it arrived after the legal window. They also took out 50% more than average utility costs for our final month, 102 for March and 153 for April. Can't contest as they shut down our access to the rent pay site asap without disabling notifications or anything. I am so glad to be moved out.
The office here is about as clumsy as it gets from not having an online or working maintenance system (you have to email the office and the ticket system via rent pay site goes to a black hole) to mixing

Just moved out. Would not recommend. I'll give my move out 4 stars, but the move in and stay gets 0 stars. Too many issues came up in only 12 months. And only a few were taken care of. Even have to constantly be on top of the front office staff to do their jobs. Its not worth it even if they lower rent.

Maintenance has improved recently. The thermostats have been an ongoing issue since I moved here 7 months ago. A new maintenance team came by yesterday to take a look. Turns out that the breakers tripped and that's why 2 of the 3 thermostats didn't work. It never occurred to me that might be the problem because they stopped working at different times, and nothing else in the apt. was affected. I still had power for everything else.
The thermostat in the 2nd bedroom, however, still doesn't work. When I first moved in, the original maintenance guy said that it had been wired incorrectly and was

The Elan 41 Apartments are the best in the Junction. I looked at all of the luxury buildings in the Junction and the Elan beats the rest.
The major reason why I chose the Elan is because I love the Management team.
Keandra, the Property Manager is amazing. She was so personable and Collin and Alma also go above and beyond , the team is kind and patient.
I was so stressed because I looked everywhere and I did not want a urban 1 bedroom , I wanted a traditional one bedroom with an real door. Check out the Elam 41, The staff are friendly and helpful. The building is cool and the Location rocks

Great location and I enjoyed my one bedroom apartment for two years.
However, I had incredibly rude encounters with the maintenance guy. I needed a new fridge when I first moved in because mine wasn't staying cold. He swapped with a new fridge but never installed door handles for the fridge or all the shelving. The door to my closet fell out of the hinges he came to 'fix' it. He said he needed two more screws and that he would be back to install them. Never did. I didn't continue to ask to get this things fixed because I did not want this guy in my apartment anymore.

Don't bother with these people, one leasing agent will give you a price, and then as soon as you talk to another, apparently that price is no longer available. It's just the same basic cash-grab that all these so called "fancy" apartments do, which are just cheaply made boxes. You're better off elsewhere.

I've lived here for 2 years now and couldn't be happier. The location is great (walking distance to tons of restaurants, parks, grocery stores, buses). The property management team is always so helpful with whatever issue we have.

Also it's a great place for kids. My children love going to the clubhouse to relax, it's always stocked and they love popping their head in to say hi to Alma, she's so sweet to them!

Overall it's been a great place to live! You can't beat the price with the location and all the amenities!

For beginners, since day 1, I've felt very welcomed at Elan41. Very kind & friendly management team. They are always there when you need them for maintenance issues and most importantly, they treat you like a neighbor instead of a number on a door. I truly would recommend this place to anyone trying to move to the Seattle area. I BIG plus is that it is located right on top of a Safeway

We lived here from 2015-2016 and moved back a couple of years later to be close to work. Location is great, but management of the property leaves much to be desired.

A WORD OF CAUTION: Read the fine print on the lease contract with great care. The rents/utilities are posted on the 1st of every month, and you have until the 3rd to make the payment. If you miss this even by a day or two, you will be required to payback any one time concessions that you received. Management is unwilling to budge in making exceptions. They do not send out reminders, and this almost feels like a setup.

As a former resident I wanted to take a minute to leave a review of this property. The location in the junction was awesome. Convenience of having restaurants, banks, even being above a grocery store, etc. The property itself was completely secure... never worried about walking in/out of the garage, never saw non-residents on the property. The units are bright and open and CLEAN! Any little issue I had (minor maintenance) taken care of right away. Giving this 5 stars mostly due to the staff and management. They work to really create bonds with their residents and you can see that with every interaction

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great location and good price. It's also surprisingly quiet. My only very minor issues are with the recycling/garbage (and this is the renters' fault just as much as the ownership, but there isn't quite enough space and people are bad about putting things where they should), and with the fact that there are not enough overhead lights in the apartment, so you need a lot of lamps. The new management is fixing lots of the outdoors, fitness room, and resident's lounge nicely, which is great.

My boyfriend and I have been living here for some time now. Overall we are very pleased with our experience. The location is very convenient. There is almost everything you need all in one mile radius. Even with living above the Safeway it’s still pretty quiet we get the common noises in the day time (cars driving by, garbage trucks, etc) and at night it’s pretty quiet in the area. Our view from our balcony is very beautiful.
Maintenance has always been very quick when needed! Usually come out the day of or the next day. The property manager here is great! Alma goes above and beyond to help

The place was under new management when I came and somewhat chaotic but they now definitely have it together. The outdoor area is really nicely fixed up, the lounge is redecorated, the garbage collection is vastly better, as is notification about packages. Friendly staff and great location. Quiet, and I like the ease of grocery shopping since we’re over a Safeway.

Elan 41's location at the Junction in West Seattle is what makes this community. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of change over - from property managers to property management companies. This caused several communication problems and facilities/grounds issues; the community as a whole became less desirable to live in as time passed.

Whereas some communities may have community events - raffles, tenant socials, Halloween parties, etc - Elan41 had none.

Like apartment prices all around Seattle, the increases to rent prices at Elan41 became untenable, especially when viewed from a cost

Location of these apartments is fantastic - I've been here for a year and a half now. If you don't like living in the city and hearing constant shopping carts (Safeway below), honking, and homeless people yelling outside your windows...it's probably not for you.

I really loved the old property management company, Laura was absolutely amazing and you can tell she took extra pride in the place.

The new AMC Property management individuals are EXTREMELY nice, but the appearance of the place has really gone downhill. Simple things are being missed - the cushions on the outdoor seating

Management does not respond to tenants request for more security in the so called secured tenants parking lot. No cameras. Second breaking in a few months. Last night three cars got broke in. Thousands of dollars in damage. No reaction from the management. If you care about your car. Rent somewhere else. When you pay for parking you would expect your car to be somewhat safe.

Convenient but the management is the worst...the two women running the place are business clumsy, dishonest and cannot be trusted involving what they say...they talk behind each others back and then together screw over the tenants...record everything the two tell you and save all emails...you will need them..

Where to start...lets start with the shortest list first.
Pros:
Loaction! You are in the Junction; walking distance to almost anything one may need and really close to bus stops.

Shared outdoor space is cute and has grills.

Lounge is nice and comfortable when the office is closed.

Cons:
The remodel is cheap cheap cheap! My feet have been stabbed and bloodied by carpet tacks. You can feel random objects under the carpet. The counters are made of a cheap white plastic material that stains very easily. The heaters get very very hot to the touch, which is dangerous for pets and children.

I've been really happy here so far. The location can't be beat: you're minutes from downtown on nearby public transportation (express C line to downtown, free shuttle to the water taxi), walking distance to groceries, bars, and cool shops in the Junction, and a short drive or bus ride to Lincoln park and Alki Beach. Covered parking is also nice.

West Seattle is a funky neighborhood that I find has a more relaxed vibe than a lot of the other parts of the city. Not to mention great water views and sunsets (when we have them)! My loft apartment has a great city view and feels spacious

I moved into Elan 41 about a month ago and absolutely love it! The location is right in the West Seattle Junction and I can walk to all of my favorite bars and restaurants. I looked at nearly all apartment buildings in or near the Junction and Elan 41 is by far the biggest apartment. In addition, the building is pet-friendly and I have a view of both downtown and Mount Rainier!

I lived here for 8 months before they threw the "We're going to evict you even though you have a 1 year lease" notice at us. After consulting a lawyer and notifying them of it they left us alone (they decided to do the construction around us), but the office staff (Jennifer) was just awful. I had always been nice and courteous to her. When we told her "No, we aren't going to move out with this illegal notice you gave us" she turned in to the most unreasonable, rude apartment manager I have ever had the displeasure of working with. She would avoid talking or reasoning
