I lived here for two and a half years, and I'll tell you what I told everyone who asked about living at Bay Vista: it's fine. Here are honest pros and cons of things I'd want to know before moving here:
It's not great, just fine. Having opened just after the 2008 recession, the building and its units are already quite outdated and falling apart. Old appliances, beat up cupboard doors and door handles, worn carpeting and countertops, and yellow-shaded walls (bleh). I too had a mold/mildew issue in my shower due to bad plumbing that I addressed several times and was never fixed. The building itself

I am writing mainly to comment on the Assistant Manager, Erica. She is extremely competent and very polite and respectful. I'm also impressed with the quickness of the application procedure. Admittedly, the complex has some maintenance issues because of lack of personnel that so many businesses have right now. Give them a break. I'll report later regarding that, move-in, and living there.

The apartment is great, but the management is the most unresponsive, unprofessional group I have ever dealt with. With any request, I am told they will give me a call within the hour to resolve it. Yet, nothing has been done after literally 7 times of me asking. They are completely unorganized and not willing to respond to their residents' simple inquiries. If you move here, do not expect any help from management - you're on your own.

Lived here for 3+ years. Enjoyed living here at at first. However there are quite a few things that are not good. Onto why it’s one star I got my truck broken into once, the fire alarms went off way more frequent then anywhere else I have lived, and worst of all when I moved out I went and talked to the management about what I owe them when I moved out they said x amount. I paid that amount and went on with my move to another city. Now after 6 months I am getting a call from a collection agency about a bill that I hadn’t paid. I never was called by bay vista the only call I ever got was to

Lived in these apartments for four years as a commuter from Houston, and will say that I would not recommend living here to any of my friends. I can't imagine living here full time.
The apartment management changed about a year and a half ago and new management is terrible (reasons for which explained below). The buildings are not well maintained, and trash seems to accumulate around trash chutes and stairways frequently. Bay Vista Apartment and Homes is a beautiful property and is near the bay front. In September, I had an opportunity to visit my brother Adrian Morales, the family and their beautiful residence...I was impressed. I know my nephew loves his place! Kudos to all whom assist maintaining the property’s beauty and friendliness, including but not limited to, office staff, maintenance, grounds keeper, etc., ALL whom exemplify professionalism with outstanding hospitality.
