I have been living at Key Towers since 02/2021. We had a four day evacuation over two months ago and I have yet to be reimbursed for those days which the building legally owes each tenant. I have sent multiple emails trying to plea for a simple reimbursement that I am owed.
This review is mostly of the company Gates Hudson who has yet to reimburse all residents. Additionally, they are irresponsible in their care for tenants. I have been completely disregarded by this company. In fact, my total reimbursement has technically been approved by Gates Hudson, and yet they've never reimbursed me and

I’ve been living in this complex for 12 years now and this is by far the best place to live at. It is a great place to settle down and raise children, the environment is very quiet and calm, the office staff is nice and always ready to help clients. By far, the best management I’ve gone to know and the building is always clean and nicely put together.

I've lived at Key Towers for over 15 years, long before the ownership change to Gates Hudson, and noticed that the place was showing its age with problematic plumbing and crumbling infrastructure. Now, however, I need to acknowledge the positive new management style, attitude, and physical improvements to the property by the new owners . The first changes generally focused on outside and visible quality of life enhancements. The most obvious, and needed, starting point was to update and enhance the outdoor pool area. In addition to new, far more comfortable seating and lounging furniture, came

This is a wonderful complex to live in especially since GateHudson has take over the property. Tobesta is truly the best property manager I have ever dealt with, anything I need she ALWAYS makes it happen and ALWAYS responds right away. Morgan who also works for Gate Hudson has been extremely helpful with corresponding back and for and definitely making sure I am taken care of. The maintenance staff, especially Abraham, have always fixed anything I needed done right away. I love this apartment complex and I am extremely happy living here :)

I have lived at this apartment complex for almost 2 1/2 years. My suggestion is that if you are looking for a quiet place and one with little intrusions look somewhere else. I have lived in a variety of places on the East Coast and a number of different apartment buildings. Unfortunately, Key Towers was not the welcome back to VA experience I had hoped.
Under the first property management (AIMCO), there were definitely issues with noise, water shutoffs, leaking pipes, and property managers that did not address complaints. Less than a year later a new management company took over with virtually

The management is extremely unprofessional. We contacted the apartment for tenant verification, and Bridgett Lira / Property Manager required us to provide tenant's release form. We did what we were asked, and turned out that they recently took over the business plus had no record of previous tenants. They couldn't provide any verification, and couldn't even provide the point of contact of the previous management firm - "look up the internet ..".
The manager should have asked about the move in / out dates so we're not wasting people's time.

The WORST living experience, since the day we moved in we've had countless issues with our A.C and management simply does not care. We've given them enough time to find a solution to this problem now it's close to end of our lease and thought we should share our honest experience, Maintinace team will show thier face and leave with temporary solution and before you know it your facing the same issue OVER and over becuse they don't bother to provide permanent fix. Even tho the outside temperature is above 90 they don't bother to come check/fix your AC problems wright away

This review is entirely about the leasing experience my wife and I had with Morgan Moran at Key Towers. She was the most helpful leasing agent that we dealt with during our apartment search. She was extremely responsive to all of our emails and questions. During our tour of the building, She never once made us feel rushed and took the time to show us many apartments to get a feel for the building, and the different apartment layouts we were interested in. She really went all out to make our apartment search experience easier.

Let me start off by saying that this build is very old.
Over the years the management has attempted to give this place a face life. But it's failed is a lot of ways. The place is crawling with bugs of all sorts especially cockroaches. The management does not give 2 cents about it. Heck you will be lucky to even find anyone in the management office. Every single time you go there they have a sign up that says they will be back at the time shown but that's just to lead you away. When you do come back at that time they are not there. They are never around and when they are there they will

I have had no issues since I moved in a little over a month ago. It's fairly priced (could be a little lower) and extremely spacious. The community manager is extremely kind and has been helpful, resourceful, and knowledgeable. The only thing I would state is that it may be in the communities best interest to obtain and hire an additional person to provide her with leasing office support. Although she is great, I think the additional support would not only boost Aimco's status but Key Towers ratings across the board. !

The maintenance and janitorial crew are outstanding, very professional, and very friendly. They respond in a reasonable amount of time to make repairs, which is probably a never-ending job. They are very courteous and always offering help when they see it is needed. Another good thing is where it is located. Unfortunately, that's it for the positives of this apartment building. The location, while it is near lots of good places, is also not so good. Living directly next to I-395, you hear all the road traffic, to include the never-ending sirens from police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances

Conveniently located and despite being close to the highway, it is very quiet! The community is nice an renovated (going through staged renovations). The building management is responsive and helpful. Maintenance is quick and very courteous. Guest parking is tough, but overall Key Towers is a great place to live!

We stopped by three times today, once with an appointment, and never actually saw anyone who worked in the building. We wasted over an hour of our time waiting for these people, which really sucks considering we drove here from southern MD to look for an apartment today. Can't imagine what the management is like if this is how they treat potential renters.

Lived here for only a year. There's one staff person working if anybody's working at all by the time you get home from work, it's challenging to pay rent and expect a receipt. We were told to the heating or air conditioning would run about 82 maybe 100 per month. First electric bill for the heater was almost $600 that one month. We had maintenance called apparently it was running poorly, The unit was wired on emergency heat even though as a renter I could not tell, there's no indication to tell you what the situation is under the equipment. The part was ordered two days no heat

Spacious apartments, great windows and view, easy access to restaurants and shopping, easy access to 495/395, friendly staff, an adequate gym (nothing fancy) for working out. I really enjoy living here.
The only downfall is the parking situation, but since I've lived here they have expanded the parking to the best of their ability and it hasn't been much of an issue. Just don't expect to have an easy time finding a place to park if you are coming home in the middle of the night.

Im so sad i really wanted to rent from here. I noticed upon arrival that there was extreme lack of parking at 12pm when everyone is at work. I had to wait for someone to leave before parking. I walked in and they didnt answer the phone when i buzzed them to open the door. Some random lady eventually opened it. I walked into the leasing office and stood there 3 mins in the middle of the floor before being acknowledged. Mind you there were three people in there 2 were arguing about something and the other were staring at his computer. I was a little pissed off because i had chevk in hand ready to

I just moved here a few weeks ago, and I am very pleased with my apartment. When I moved in, the apartment was very clean. The location is perfect: 15 mins from NW DC and 10 mins from shopping in Alexandria. The staff is very helpful and responsive when you need them. Everyone that lives here has been very nice and helpful in my experience so far, and the building is super quiet. The drawbacks are (in my opinion) minor, but they include that there is not sufficient parking for all residents (unreserved spots are not guaranteed), the water consistently changes temperature while showering, and my

The building was constructed before "cost minimization" became the driving factor in construction projects, meaning that the building is well built, solid, and QUIET! The office staff and service teams have been extremely responsive to any issues I have had. Because the building is relatively small, it allows the office staff to make every resident feel significant and important.

This is a good deal after 1 month of living here. The apartments are clean with wood floors and a security key that actually works all the time. There is a convenient trash chute and laundry room on each floor. It is not in Old Town but you can walk to get around or take the DASH bus and not break the bank on rent. These also have concrete between floors so only neighbors to the side are heard. Hopefully they won't raise the rent every year. My only complaint is parking. You might want a reserved spot. The office staff have been very nice to work with and the neighbors have been respectful
