They will increase the rent every year. The manager is one of the worst people that you will have to deal with. The staff themselves are nice. I lived here for ~4 years and i would not recommend anyone live here. No deposit was returned after moving out even though we left the place way cleaner than how we received it.

Staffs was nice and friendly. But the neighborhood is BAD and the people that lived in this apartment trash the property. The apartment smell like weed for the past 6 months when I first moved here and nothing was been done about it. I have 2 little kid's and we had to tried to stay out as much as possible to avoided the weed smell. Then someone broke into my apartment garage and stole my properties worth up to 2K. Every now and then cops was called to the apartment due to fights and loud music. Not sure why some people reviewed this apartment a 5 stars. Either they worked days and nights that

Staff are wonderful! I can’t express how caring and on-top-of-things they are. Had an issue in our apartment. Emailed Brian, our maintenance guy, and the issue was resolved by the time we got home from work. Felicia and Jody in the apartment office are very welcoming. I feel when there is something the complex needs to be aware of (e.g. snow removal, community events, water being temporarily turned off, etc.), they give fair warning/alerts (on the doors when you enter and under your apartment door), oftentimes including clear pictures. We always feel well-informed. Love the pool, sauna, and workout

I lived at WRV for 4 years, and it was the best experience I have ever had as a renter and I've been renting for 30 years. I was sorry to leave and relocate to another state. My apartment and balcony faced a quiet, tree-lined cul-de-sac. The walls are sound-proofed, so I rarely noticed I even had neighbors. Any maintenance issues were always resolved quickly and right the first time. I took the bus every day to work in downtown Minneapolis and never had a problem. The manager, office people, maintenance people and cleaners have all always gone out of their way to be nice and helpful. The pool

My husband and I lived at Wheelock Ridge Villa for 6 months and have had nothing but positive interactions with the management staff and the maintenance guy, Brian. All our requests were fulfilled in a timely manner and staff were very friendly.
Our apartment was neat and tidy when we moved in.
My husband used the pool every day, and had no issues with maintenance.
Overall, we would highly recommend Wheelock Ridge Villa Apartments. In fact, we moved to another property managed by the same team.

I’m posting again guys. Still maintaining the plumbing in this place sucks!! My kitchen sink backed up in February this year. The management threatens to bill me for their bad plumbing. Never accept an apartment on the first floor. I returned home from a 5 day trip on a Sunday evening in July. I was greeted with the most Awful smell ever, and a backed up kitchen sink that had been spilling over for so long that the greasy water made it all the way to my bedroom. I had to go to a hotel because there were 4 blowers and some big moisture machine placed in my apartment to dry up the water. It was

I moved in 10 years ago (2006), it was a wonderful place to live. As the years went on, the place has lost some of it's step. I moved out in 2016. I would have to say at times, staffing in 2014-16, had lost it's compassion for resident concerns. I do not know the new staff very well, but, they have been quite friendly to me since I moved back in. Wheelock has the biggest apartments, which I love.
The only real concern I have with this apartment complex is the maintenance of the apartments plumbing. The first floor piping is a big issue. The kitchen, bathroom, and tub has backed up with nasty water

Lived here for over a year. Decided to explore other options than to rent again. The place itself is great. The apartments are huge, lots of space, lots of extra closet space, amazing pool and hot tub, great play area for kids indoor and out, quiet neighborhood, okay neighbors. It wasn't the best though. Care taker on the 2nd floor was extremely nosey. I once had over my girlfriends yorkie and the next day had a notice saying they're doing an inspection so the pet has to go? She was the only one who had seen the puppy in sure which is no problem. I was added to the lease so i had no idea pets could

I've lived at Wheelock for over two years and it'd been the best apartment experience I've had. Great units, helpful and attentive staff, and consistent maintenance for any issues.
My grievances are: children in the halls, lack of enough high definition cameras for security. The parking lots are not completely covered by cameras and the ones that are up can see only pixelated noise at night. If you had your car broken into, like me, you couldn't see who did it and, even if they were on camera (such as in the gym area) it's not enough to see the features of the actual person. It's security theater
