Very sloppy job on a basic manicure— missed spots, not even. Not to mention my tech went out for a smoke break during my appointment and smelled like cigarettes for the rest of the time. I’ve been coming to Maxwell Nails for the past 4 years or so and lately the quality has significantly decreased. I’ll be looking for a new nail salon!

This place is honestly such crap. Such a prime location if only another nail spa occupied this space. They are always rude and their service and quality is horrendous. There's only ONE lady there that is nice and does a nice job. The rest of these people are not friendly. Nor are they organized. They tell you a certain time then it ends up being longer than what they said. Do not waste your $$ here. They don't care about you or the service they provide.

This place has some kind of magic!
Ever since I’ve gone here and gotten dip nails, my nails have NEVER chipped, even though I push them to their brinks without getting them replaced for a month and a half to two months at times (please no judgement I’m a busy woman).
Make sure they use acetone and soak your nails and do not try to pull them off (yes they’ve tried this), and sorry yes your cuticles will be handled roughly and may bleed for a day. BUT for the price and the unbreakable nail— it’s completely worth it. I’m close to month 2 right now with my nails and they’ve grown out

If I could rate this place with negative stars trust me I would. The service is absolutely atrocious. My daughter had come in to get a previous acrylic set taken off and to our dismay the male nail tech pried her nails off without even soaking them in acetone. Her nails are completely destroyed and it's just standard procedure at every nail salon to soak your nails before taking them off. My daughter spoke to the manager and she was so rude so I even called and the manager proceeded to laugh and be so dismissive and she even hung up on me! Don't spend your money here at this trash can

First time here, I was not impressed. Professional is not a word I would use to describe this place. A had a man do my pedicure, not sure how experienced he is, he did not speak English, I was not pleased with him. We made a group appointment, when we showed up, they had booked us on the following day. They were empty so they took us, 5 ladies. Then their 3:30 showed up for her appointment. The only woman who spoke English was so rude to her, making up excuses of why they couldn't see her. They do not honor their scheduled appointments.

If there was an option to give zero stars I would. Unfortunately my review is not based on the quality of their work bc I was not actually able to get my nails done here. My review is based on the horrible customer service. I made an appointment and arrive on time but was ignored for a full 15 minutes. There were employees just sitting around taking great efforts to avoid eye contact with me. I began to feel uncomfortable and asked when my chair would be ready. The workers there were not very welcoming. During my gel polish change on my toes, the pedicurist dropped my polish. I could already tell that polish itself was old, because it took her several coats for my toes to look evenly painted. Although I had no extreme problems with my service, I think there needs to be more training or regulation... Or SOMETHING .

It was my first time getting my acrylics done here. The workers are truly meticulous to detail. My nail tech, Tony, really made sure the rhinestones were set and that it matched the picture I told them to use as a reference. They also specifically ask what shape you want for your nails on both your feet and hands. They were also very fast in the process of getting my hands and feet done. Amazing work, well worth the price.

I got there at 10am and she finished at 11 am, so i didn't wait that long. How ever I asked her for coffin nails and she gave me ballerina. I also asked her to make my ring finger nail more opaque and she didn't. 4 of my nails were crooked and she said "she wasn't done yet" and she never ended up fixing them even when she was "done". I called yesterday and they told me it would be $35 but they charged me $50 today. The lady who was doing my nails was rude to me and also very aggressive with my nails.

It was lots of stares, talking, pointing, and laughing at me and my significant other when we came here. I was going to get both of my feet and nails, but no they were completely rude. I will not come here again. I hope this review is a learning experience that they cannot do customers like that. I already don't understand what they were saying fully, but with the fluency I have, I did not like what they were saying. People of color be aware. Our feet was rushed as well, just very funky attitudes in this place

I had a disappointing nail appt here. They have very reasonable prices for Chicago, but my no chip manicure and pedicure seemed rushed. I had to have them fix a few nails during the appt due to the nail not being shaped equally and color on my skin. I don't plan to visit again unless it's short notice. They do allow walk-ins.

When I saw the prices online, it was too good to be true. So I had to go to the salon in person. When I first came in it was short staffed. But the minute you walk in that door, you are greeted and taken care of. I like how they do the manicure first before the pedicure. I also like how they give you an option to pay for your nails now or later. The lady who did my full set was very quick but she made sure that my nails and toes were neat. I highly recommend this nail salon. As for the prices, they are reasonable. You get what you pay for.

The woman painting my toes did a worse job than I would've done on myself. Polish everywhere!!! A two year old would've done a better job.
For my no chip mani- she filed my nails AFTER doing the mani???? There were holes on my nails she refused to fix.

Spare yourself and avoid this place at all costs. Horrible experience and customer service. I came here to get a dip manicure and it was probably the worst manicure I've ever received. My nails were painted super thick and it began to chip after a week. Also, when asked if they can file my nails down some more (prior to getting my nails painted) I was told it was too late. After two weeks I went back to remove my nails with my sister. She was charged 10 dollars and I was charged 15. When asked why there was a difference considering we had the same nails, they were not receptive and refused

The man doing my nails WIPED HIS SNOT ON MY HAND. Not to mention his mask was UNDER his nose and when I asked him to put on the mask correctly, he was very dismissive and refused.
