Vickies Nail Spa is a very busy, upscale salon located in Downtown Chicago (Next to the Holy Name Cathedral Church). We are one of the biggest Nail Salon and one of the Best Nail Salon in Downtown Chicago. Our salon space is almost 3000 SQ, we have 18 Pedicure Chairs and 22 Manicure tables. I recently relocated to Chicago from Boston, and gave up on continuing to have beautiful nails.
I don't like thick acrylic, and my nails cannot grow without a hard top added... thankfully Vickie's nails has Danny on hand; he gives a beautiful, so thin everyone thinks it's natural dip acrylic that I am addicted to.
Pricing is competitive, and possibly less than what it should be for the quality given.
They've also been great about adding fancy designs when the mood strikes me.
I have taken multiple friends here and never been disappointed.
Word to the wise- Danny is appt

This is my go to nail salon. They have the biggest color selection and all of their manicurists are careful and attentive. They always work with me when I have unique requests and I've never been disappointed! Plus they have same day availability and sometimes even same same hour availability. It's so convenient!

Me and a friend got pedicures on the fly. They were fast and friendly. Mayra did my nails and did a great job and was very friendly. I also love the fact that they offered me a drink (water, tee, coffee, latte, soda). You can also BYOB. So awesome!!! There is a Mexican place nearby that has to go margaritas just in case you forget yours :) Will definitely come back here.

My nail technician snapped at me and was visibly impatient. I accidentally brushed my own nail against my hand while the polish was still wet and her response made me uncomfortable— she said “no!” in a tone of voice that sounded like she was talking to a misbehaving dog instead of a person. The experience was stressful and disappointing. Former repeat customer, not going back

This place is so unprofessional, overpriced, the manager is so rude , I’ve noticed they only respect and give the best service to white people. I would definitely not recommend at all!! Please do not waste your money! They have made me bleed from my finger, they made me wait so long while someone was already buffing and cutting my nails, she got up and started cleaning and talking to coworkers she never told me someone else will assist me or keep me updated she just left. I previously had a great experience here so I went back. I walked in, said I wanted a gel manicure. Apparently the new thing in Chicago is, "Have a seat over here" and that is license for them to forget about you. I was seated in the back and someone wrapped my fingers to remove my current gel. Then she got up and said she wasn't doing my nails. So there I sat. A I got up after 20 minutes and asked what the deal was. She moved me to another station. And there I sat again. Some woman finally came over and started working on my nails. She didn't say a word and didn't look

Would not recommend at all. The pricing here is absolutely outrageous! Overpriced with nothing to show for it. It says one price online AND on the wall when entering the building then after your service you get your price and it’s all these extra charges and fees that weren’t discussed before hand! Very unprofessional. They charge for every single little thing and that’s not how you should do business. Don’t the crowd fool you because it fooled me. Time and money wasted.

The salon looks clean but reeks of nail polish fumes. I unfortunately received a pedicure that painfully cut the skin close to my big toe nail and made it bleed. When I said "Stop, that hurts, I don't want you to cut", the nail technician replied that I did not ask not to cut in advance! My toe really hurts and is probably infected as the nail technician proceeded to put moisturizer cream on it. Have you had a similar bad experience as the one I had? I am very disappointed and will never go back. No stars for me. A bandaid and neosporin for sure.

Best value in the neighborhood. Trust me, I did my research. ~ $90 for this Full set with Pink French tip. Great service, good quality work, beautiful salon, sleek and luxurious atmosphere. Technicians are extremely accommodating, I wanted something very specific they hadn't seen and Lilly did a great job creating the design. Also everybody LOVED my nails, I am a very happy customer.

Honestly the nail tech didn’t give me a real manicure before she started with the dip, she also didn’t shape my nails before and after the dip?? I have been to other places where they do all of that and set your nails with the lamp.. but they swore they were doing it right.. and now, only a week later, my nail is cracked down the middle. LOL! Just save yourself the time and money. The only good thing is that they have a ton of staff so you can be in and out.

Giving it two stars for good ambience and complimentary beverages. My technician did a bad French manicure and pedicure (way too thick of a white tip, especially on the toes), didn't ask me if I wanted my nails shaped square (I didn't) but made them square anyway, and couldn't speak English well enough to fix the issues. I will get my nails fixed elsewhere. I have never seen a French mani pedi that looked so bad.

Super nice staff, I was taken in quickly as a walk-in and they were able to accommodate me. I was offered beverages 3x throughout my hour here. After receiving a pedicure, some of my polish was messed up (my fault) and they were able to repaint It before I left! I'm super super happy with the service and finished product and am coming back for sure. Discounted if you pay in cash which I highly recommend!!!
Only downside is that they are a super high volume salon and I felt a bit rushed and It did feel a bit chaotic.

The business itself needs to try and practice price transparency as to not catch its customers off guard when it's time to pay.
I thought I was getting a deal with a $30 classic pedicure to be informed gel polish was an extra $20, and the French tip (just the white line) was an extra $10 on top of that. Plus a 5% service charge for all cards so my total came to $65 + a $10 tip for my very deserving nail technician.

Gel manicure was fine, a little rushed, but woman at front desk was a little short and rude. She clearly was focused on other things - she asked if I wanted anything to drink but then never brought over the water and she acted like I was bothering her when I went to pay.
I just moved so I looked a little raggedy in my sweats and no make up, but still.
It's close to my house, but I'll walk further for nicer treatment in the future.

Decent place, but a lot of the techs are not very good at nail shaping or nail art, so I’d only recommend it for the most basic of manicures. I walked out today with nails of different lengths/shapes. I would recommend this place for a pedicure.
Also, their prices seem to keep changing so expect $60+ for an acrylic fill + gel polish.

So glad I found this salon, my previous salon closed and I've jumped around for a few months trying to find a new regular spot until I found Vickie's. I've gotten my mani & pedis here a few times now and am so happy with their service. Hannah rocks my no chip mani- I haven't had someone so meticulous and detail oriented while also being super quick!

I got a no chip manicure and within a few days my middle finger polish slipped right off. I've never had this happen before. I don't bite my nails and normally my no chip manicures lasts at least 3 weeks at other salons. Then at the end of the week by thumb nail polish slipped off. I haven't been handling things with my hands or doing an excessive amount of work. Not worth the $39 when it lasts as long as a regular manicure.

THE BEST! I booked a morning appointment the day before and they were so kind and accommodating. Because of the snow storm, I was a few minutes late for my apt but told them I had a hard stop at noon. Scott and another gentlemen did my dip and pedicure at the same time making the best use of my time.
They are friendly, kind and professional and did an amazing job. Would recommend them to everyone!

After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to give this salon a chance. The staff was extremely friendly and I appreciate that, but unfortunately my no-chip full set is a disaster. I asked for coffin shape. As you can see my left hand, especially my ring and thumb, is an awful shape. For $65 (not including tip), this is unacceptable. I was really rooting for this place because the staff was super sweet but I definitely will not be back.

This is such an amazing place. My friend and I have been looking for a nail salon that could do nail art for at least 3 months. Not only did this place do the exact art that we wanted, they also did it fast!! Amy did my nails and helped me choose the colors and even recommended that I do a different nail shape (other than what was in the reference photo that I provided) to really enhance the design--I'm glad that I did because I like my nails more than the nails in the picture that I gave her! They are also super nice and welcoming!!
